Weaving

Lyn, you forgot to put the blog on! Take a minute and do so will you, I would love to keep up with you and your friend. And GET BACK TO YOUR STUDIO!!! Or get all your looms and stuff brought home. Dont lose it or waste it, you have worked too hard to get there, and your work is so beautiful. Go get it!
No news here. It is early and Bill is still asleep. We are going to visit Kell , leave here on Wed. back Mon....short visit, but Bill is so busy at the Complex...they have set a 1st. December opening date!! Still months of work to do. We will see. We dug the carrotts yesterday, 10 75lb bags. Dug, tops cut off, bagged and on the truck to Winnipeg Harvest for the needy. Bill and I put the garden in in the spring, tend it all summer, then call on anyone who will help to dig and top and tail the produce. To day I get the Princess Rosie for the day. Her mum's cancer has returned and the family are taking her to Winnipeg for the start of Chemo. again. She knows us well enough now that she doesn't get upset. She and I will meet a friend at the church hall and wash and grate about 24 cups of carrotts for our Christmas puddings....the same friend helps me make 42 qts. and 36 pts. of pudding to sell for our church. This is our last year of doing it, we are all getting too old to carry on. We will make 6doz 1/2pts. marmalade when the puddings are done, then I can get on with my own stuff.

Me Again

This is for Anut Mona. Although anyone can look if your interested.

This is a blog my friend Mel and I have started, we are both weavers and are going to podcast from our studios (if I ever go back to mine) and put up stuff about art and weaving.

Thought you might want to follow us. In your spare time that is.

Oh by the way are we meeting up some where to see Kell in one spot while she is in OZ, I am happy if people come here or where ever.

X Belinda

Opps

Well thats Rocky Sideways!!!

Will redo him later but isn't he cute?

Just a Ramble

Hi All

Not much to say as life just goes on and it certainly is not as exciting as it once was.

I just seem to go to work and come home. So I am off to Sydney (on Sunday)on a recon mission for a dress. We have a friends wedding to go to ( all the Jessup') and I guess it should be pretty sexy so I can say "so there" if you get my drift.

The girls have had the flu and now I have it as well so we are all coughing and spluttering, Well I guess it is keeping me in a job at the chemist.

I am looking at getting a new job and as I have a BA Arts it means nothing so I am back to square one. My computer course has helped but I want to do more. So for the moment thoughts of Masters or PHD are out the window. I am not sure what I will be able to do in the future but I guess I need an income. So public service here I come.(Boo Hoo)

Both the girls are out Hannah Baby sitting for friends and Lauren is dinning with friends, apart from colds they are well and busy, I never see them as life is full on for them.

I am hoping to go to Bourke soon and spend time with my brother now don't fall over as you read this but I am thinking he could take me on the road for a week, Uncle Bill will know what I am talking about.

Must go and do the dishes then play with rocky as he has been home all day by himself and didn't get our regular hour walk in this evening.

Hi from Bernice wednesday

Hi all just a short note , as i have a busy day ahead.
Sara has just asked me to put on the blog, That they are still going to Bourke now! I don't know when i will find out later and put it on the blog.
The house sara was offered for her Mum was undesirable, Meg and June went to have a look at it and it was shabby and in a bad unsafe area, so they turned it down.
It was great to hear from you at long last Lisa, will get back to you later also.
Have to go will try and get on later and fill you in bye for now love bernice xx

Greeting from Grafton

Hello all,
It has been a long time since I was last on the blog. Have not been near the computer for ages. Busy time at work, hopefully slowing down now as holidays next week.
I went marking the Drama HSC practical exam last month, around Sydney and its surrounds for three weeks. Then I got a megga bonus - (now I can say it), I was flown to Singapore to mark at an international school. Was there for four days, and worked for 4 1/2 hours! Ronny took the time off work and we had a blast. The food was incredible, the experiences many and the laughs and beers flowed!
Took a group of year 9 drama students to perform their clowning routines to Aunty Wyn's nursing home last Friday. Was a little worried about how the residents would react, but when the first student did a basic summersault and they were all in awe, knew it would all go well - and it did. Aunty Wyn is doing well and looking good (it was Friday, so her hair had just been curled and set). Sends her love to all.
Played in my hockey grand final on the weekend. We were undefeated all year and yes, you guessed it - we lost! Worst game we had played all year. Oh well, all over for another season, ready to go again next year.
This weekend - long weekend here- we are going to a friends out in the country, not far from here. He built a dance floor - in the miidle of the bush! There are bands and music playing all weekend, everyone just camps in the paddock. Orara river 5 minutes walk away. All great fun. Stewart is coming down with two friends and we are all camping together. Will be a hoot! Ronny has is guitar, I have my djeme drum, will put in a tamborine for Stewart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After that, Ronny and I are heading west on Tuesday. Will be in Bourke probably the following weekend. Pity we could not have caught up with Sara or Aunty Ces, but can someone in Bourke please pass on to Johnno that we will be over to see him? We have our campervan, I think we are staying at North Bourke by the Darling. Will take pictures and share later. I still can not open the flicker, so if I have a gem of a photo, will stick it on here later.
Nephew Sebastian flys out to India on the weekend. Going on a Catholic mission of some sort for two weeks (am sure it is just a euphemism for a holiday!) He is ready and psyched!
Mum and dad doing well. Mum is planning her trip to Sydney for the nurses reunion with Aunty Kell. Dad is still as busy as ever, running around after everyone else with his many community services.
Sorry, think I have rambled on for long enough,
love and cheers to all,
Lisa

I'm going nuts!

Hello again, beautiful warm day in Lebkemba, too warm to be outside. I'm still tired and doughy from not enough sleep last night.

Well good news is I have another offer for transfer to Raymond Terrace, 3BR, rails etc. Don't know if it has a yard, Meg said she'd check it out tomorrow. Then I had to make the hard phone call, mum answered and was miserable with the cold weather. I broke the news as gently as I could because, you see DOH only gives tennants one week to move. Mum's in a fit. I told her not to worry, we'll come and do what we can. We will have to cancel our trip to Bourke which is really dissapointing. I haven't called Johnno yet, he's next.

I have to go, my eyes are hanging out of my head and I can barely touch the right keys on the nourd! Take care everyone and please cousins, second cousins, aunts etc put lots of 'kid' stories on here. I'd love to hear the funny things the little ones get up to. I will flikr photo's when I can, ciao now,

Love Sara XXXXX

Happenings in Bourke

Megan is sending this message from school, it will save me from annoying the Tully girls! John's 3rd IV chemo is this Thursday 27th at 12.30. He is going to Dubbo early on Thursday and will stay overnight in the hostel ($30 per night), then come home Friday, arriving around lunchtime. John wants to drive himself down, Kell.

The next chemo sessions are:
October, Thursday 18th;
November, Thursday 8th, Thursday 29th;and,
December, Thursday 20th.

This should be the last, then some follow-up tests in January 2008. We have been with John for three months and the only side effects so far have been, a day or so after the IV, he feels sick for a day and also some gastric occasionally as well. The past three weeks he has been easy going and happy.

John said Sara and family are coming next week to visit him. We have decided to leave for our home on Monday afternoon to be in Dubbo for Tuesday. We will see the accountant this day and will be home Wednesday 3rd. If John should want us to come back later, we can - though I know he prefers to be alone.

Mum's 17 anniversary is on the 26th. Happy birthday to our daughter for the 25th.
That's all for now. Love to all you folk.
Cec and Ray.

I'm Freee

As Mr Humphries (Are You Being Served) would say. Well, not really otherwise I woulda been on here sooner. Gotta go get my boys undies, we've added an extra set of drawers to his room and in typical male fashion if it's been moved he "can't find them"!

It's 7:30am, been up since 5.00. Would've been up at 3 but decided if I could drop back off to sleep after already having been up 3 times so far then I'd stay in bed. It was the cat that woke me that time, he likes to survey his 'view' from the patio. If he see's a person, another cat or gets spooked for any other reason then he bolts in the front door, 'fraidy cat'! 5am it was Hokey, he woke and ran into our room taking a flying leep onto the bed and in next to me. That was enough. I've put a couple of loads of washing through which I'm hoping Tony will hang for me before he goes to work. I wish he'd stay home, he's been doing 7 days a lot lately.

Yes Bernice we went to Crookwell. Mum was feeling ok so we left last Saturday morn' @ 9am, emptied the fridge and loaded it on a trailor to take with us. I decided to move a bit faster so I could stop at Goulburn to do the lotto and was near to the Macca's servo' when Tony called. He'd blown a radiator hose and water spat out onto the distributor yadda yadda yadda so I did a u'ey and went back. He was at the top of that really steep hill. By the grace of God I found a place to turn right near him even though I could not see him. He'd worked his magic and got the pajero going and we drove on to Macca's where he fixed it. Mum was in to me for driving ahead, she was thinking of the fuel I think. We arrived at Crookwell about 12'ish. Tony swapped mums and his fridges over then loaded his bbq and we went on up to Megs to load up some more gear. We brought back the two sets of drawers that were in the "little room" at Bourke plus the dresser and chest of drawers from mums room at Megs place, also grabbed some plants, bits n' pieces and made it home with the huge load by 6:30pm. Car conked out again just coming off the m5 at the lights on King Georges Rd. He quickly sprayed some WD40 and we were off. Tony unloaded that night and brought the fridge inside, put the doors back on it and loaded her up. It sits where the table used to be and the table is next to it, off-balancing the whole room but still able to open/close the back door. Naturally ther next day Tony was wasted in bed, tried to work on one of the cars but nearly fainted so went to bed and stayed there. I'd taken kids to church. Hokey ran laps around the church and congregation until 'Kids Alive' (Sunday School) started, then Angelina and I both fell asleep in the back row. Wish I had that boys energy levels.

You wouldn't believe it but DOH had sent me a letter which was 5 dasys old by the time we got there. Even left a hand written personal note in the masilbox to contact then URGENTLY re: place for transgfer. Sorry about the spelling, I have a fat bandage on my pointer finger. Anyway, the woman called me Monday and I'd missed out. F*** it! They can only give 3 days notice and as mum wasn't there I'd missed out. She said there may be another coming up soon. Hope so.

I've been bad. Really REALLY bad. I have an addiction of sorts, white chocolate. The creme' de le creme', Lindt Lindor. The Cadbury's and Nestle only tied me over 'till I can get the Lindt. I sawe it on special at the chemist last weekend I think it was, $2- for 100gm, it's normally around 3.80. I grabbed 5 so that'd be 10 bucks but that left the last one on the shelf so I did the only thing I could do and bought all 6. 50gm fat AND sugar in each pack. I ate a pack a night until they were all gone. Oh the pleasure of the soft creamy centers, anyway I'm arousing cravings so I'll leave it there.

8am and Tony's already gone. Have to have my eyes tested again today. Got glasses last w/e for 'distance' but think I need them more for reading. Better go get ready to be there early as possible and 'restrain' Hokey whilest in there. Bernice, you wouldn't care for another happy camper occasionally would you? No, I think he'd run you ragged and drive Kenny nuts, touching things, pulling things apart, climbing etc etc etc and send you mental about cars. I'll post a pic of the bathtub from last nights bath. Cars are his life!

Gotta go, love to all. Oh yeah, we're going to Bourke to spend a few days with Johnno about 4th October. Johnno tells me temp's are about 30 degrees out there at the mo'. I haven't told Tony yet. He can find that one out when we get there.

Ciao now, Love Sara xxxxx

Peaceful Pilot Mound.

Good morning, all. 2pm here, so 5am for most of you. Hope you had a good night?
No news. This is just a note of support and encouragement for Lyn. GO FOR IT,GIRL!!
Do the PHD thing! Open a few more doors for you, and if you enjoy to study(is this girl related to the Mooculta Paytons???) what have you got to lose? We are so proud of you now with your accomplishments, think of my bragging with you with a PHD!!
Where are all the family? No one writing?? Good to hear from you Jacob, and you do look good, I hope you are happy. Always good to hear from Bernice and Sara. Keep it up. Back to Lyn..I loved you weaving! I am glad it was you and not me threading that loom! How many threads? Of course, worth it. Your fabric looks beautiful. (And my colour green, too!)
Bill is out putting siding on the house. It has taken so long, but he works down at the Sports Complex, too, so the house doesn't get his full attention. I hope he will finish next week. It has been cool these past 2 weeks, and Monday is to be 26. I have to take a lady to Morden (3/4hr.drive) for dyalisis. I will leave her at the hospital, drive home and get a bit of fall work done, then go back for her at 5-30pm.
Cant waste a day like that at this time of year. Kell is in Calgary at Char's, be home to morrow. I talked to John on Thursday. He is so upbeat! Said he doesn't have to see his doctor again till he has finished the chemo. Then back and another colonoscopy to see how things are. I didn't talk to Cec, so dont know how she and Ray are holding up. Does anyone hear from the Laverty girls? Or Paula? I wrote to Markie this am. Just a quick note to see how he is. I know he keeps busy, so I likely wont hear back for awhile. Best go. Love to all. Mona

Mad House checking in...

Ciao, it's witching hour here in Roselands. Tony singing loudly, baby crying and Hokey yelling. I'm hiding out here hoping they'll all forget I exist for a few minutes at least.

Jacob, you look great mate. I'll email when I can but don't sit waiting for me because I use the blog to stay in touch with everyone and rarely get onto email. I had sent one off to Tony's cousin in Italy who he'd been speaking with on the phone as their dads are brothers. Naturally I sent it in English. Trying to decipher the reply was a challenge but worked it out and sent a very brief few lines back explaining "Io no parla Italiana, no scrive Italiana, Tony scrive pronto" (don't speak, don't write Italian, get Tony to write soon) all with my trusty dictionary in hand. Still he would've had trouble deciphering because they all speak like Yoda (Star Wars) saying things back to front and scrambled up.

I took Hokey to playgroup yesterday then we went to supercheap to get a cheap sander then I took him, Bruce and Gizmo to the park. They all ran in different directions and I was a screaming fish-wife in the middle of Wiley Park for a couple of hours trying to keep them herded together. Dogs crapped, predictably but I'd fed them chook carcasses the day before so they were sloppy, 'juicey' ones. I had to kick a bit of dirt and leaves over them then tred on it to make a patty then pick it up with my hand already in the bag so I just threaded the bag over my hand. Lovely. I heard a young couple giggling when I scooped up Bruces and thought I shoulda just left it there so they'd catch it on the breeze where they were lying down! Brucie jumped in the pond to go after the ducks but I think it must;ve been too cold coz' he climbed straight back out again. After all that it was about 3pm'ish so we came home and I watched him 'bounce' for a while as I did some gardening (things are actually growing!!!) then he was still racing around high as a kite in the evening. 8pm and I was jack of it, "right, tv off, do a wee and go to bed". He did so but not without a great deal of complaing. Mum said he was asleep by quarter past 8, madam a couple of minutes before. It's 7:23 now so he'll be in the sack in a couple of minutes and I hope to too so I'll say "good night" for now, Good-night.

Mum's feeling a bit better today too.

Ciao, Love Sara xxxxx

Mum not feeling too good.

Just a quickie as I want to keep an eye on mum. She says she doesn't feel well and for mum to say that she must be feeling rotton. Says she feels as though, all of a sudden old age has caught up with her. She was frozen to the bone last night. Tony cranked the heater right up and pulled a second woolen doona down for her then this morning she was sweating up a storm. Of course she'd done all the washing before she said any of this. Gotta get those things cleaned!!!

Meg said mum was feeling like she had a head cold coming on while up there and I'm very reluctant to let her go home this weekend when we go down for our furniture but mum is stubborn and I'm the last person she'll listen to so if any Aunties read this in the next couple of days then perhaps you could call and talk her out of going??

I'll email you now Lyn, thanks.

Schitso???

There's another word I should learn to spell, bad enough that I write blog entries in my head but now I AM talking to myself on the blog. At least, I guess, I can't deny having said something to myself when it's in black & white!

I'm on here because it's 10:35pm and BOTH children are asleep. I assumed control of the remote control in b/r early so Tony decided to watch a dvd in the lounge, Excalibur, we all know the one. I was flipping between channels dfuring commercials and noticed he'd been up to the kitchen a couple of times when suddenly Excalibur took on a different tone. I just walked out now and sure enough, there's John Wayne on the big screen. There is also one of those tv promo's on for monthly issues of J.W's movies, all of them on dvd. Of course Tony says he's getting them. I reminded him he has them on video but "these are on DVD"! Yeah yeah, righto'. So now when he's not on foxtel there's a fair chance I'm gonna be watching him anyway.

Couple of days ago I dug up and potted my wysteria and jasmine which I'd planted during winter. I put them in pots in front of the front patio and because they haven't started to grow too much they aren't high enough to reach the railing to climb onto. I'd bought some chicken wire a month or so back for some other venture I'd planned but yet to put into place so cut some off and wrapped it onto the railing and was pulling it down to flatten out on the brick wall of the patio. Mum was helping me and commented she didn't know why it was called "chicken" cire when a chook could fit through the size of the holes. She's dry but no chicken in their right mind would go near the joins of the stuff as it scratched my hand to bits trying to unroll the stuff. Would make stir fry of a chook!

I, being an old chook myself before stroking out and starting a family had pretty much done as I pleased with my life, such as it was and spent a few years with the Irish crowd, my boyfriend at the time, George, a real character and was great entertainment. The Irish have a real way with words, the "f" one in particular. I'd grown in and out of this word over the years. Boarding school thoroughly knocked it out of me for a few years but nursing and "Eddie Murphy" brought it back. I restrain myself dependant on company present although I do have a tendency for a bit of road rage. Tony is less aware of when he says it and that's quite often. Naturally little ears hear these things and on occasion they use them. I have speakers in the littlies bedroom that are wired to my stereo but the music comes out louder in theirs than it does in mine. I had soothing meditation, jazz and classical music on the stereo, low enough so I could hear it but mum couldn't but when I went to ask why Hokey was still awake he stated "I can't sleep with this f'n noise". I'm not proud of it but I choked back my laugh. He covers his ears when we sing in church, all I need is for him to pass comment there and I'll be excused from sermons until I feel it appropriate to show my face again. I explain to him that those sorts of words are very naughty that only grown-ups use and even then they are still naughty and it's not nice for little boys but hey, he'll be going to school with Islanders, Lebs and all manner of Eastern cultures next year so I'm sure to be hearing newer words in the near future :o^

I ducked out to put the lotto on after Tony came home from work, gotta be in it.... I always play iyt at Campsie, my 'thing' so went upstairs to Big W to get some toilet rolls on special and picked up a few crafty type things while I ws there to make photoframes for the kids pic's then laminate them. I made some nice ones for fathers day, 'from' Hokey at playgroup. Have some lovely pics of madame and wild ones of Hocus Pocus which I'd like to do up for fridge decie's.

I really must wear slippers at night. My second & third toes on the left foot bend under when I walk and it's very painfull, they look like "hammer" toes, well, they ARE hammer toes. The top of the bridge of my foot has developed a boney spur that looks like a knuckle sticking out from when my foot spasms and rubs against my boots. The side of the foot has also developed the knuckle because when in a hurry or stressed out my foot turns under and I walk on the side of the bloody thing. I call it my "frankenstien" foot because that's exactly what it looks like, a couple of bolts put through it. Tony says to get them cut off, alright for him to say that, he'll have to get me one of those little granny four wheelers with the little orange flag sticking up and a baby seat on the back, Hokey can ride on the handle bars!

I haven't checked email but seeing no-one has posted since my last post I'll assume fliker site address and logon details aren't there so I'll put a couple of picks up here if that's ok? Then bed, good night,

Fliker?

I still can't get 'fliker'. Would someone please email me the site & login details again? Thanks,

Bernice, how'd the bash in Brisbane go?

Nothing to say???

Well considering I reckon I have nothing to say I sure do go on a lot about 'nothing'!

I received the papers from Johnno this morning and am putting the pic up here now rather than 'fliker' which I haven't been able to log on to forever but will try again now.

Johnno went to Dubbo this morn' with a mate who was going down for his own reasons and will come home tonight with the same bloke. Crikey he sure as heck takes this whole thing in his stride. Dear God keep Johnno well, in Jesus name, Amen.

Boy at preschool, bub asleep. Still has the diarhoea (?? must look up the spelling for that. The word should be included in spelling competitions etc at schools. Lisa, Jane, what do you reckon?). I asked Doc' Myers about her and she advised me to take her off ALL solids, milk etc for at least 24hrs, preferably 48 and just give her 'Gastrolite' to drink. So far the poor little petal is ok but I only just gave her the drink 2hrs ago. Doc' says to try to suffer her screaming for solids. I'll have to, her poor little bottom is so excoriated.

Hurt my back earlier lifting a beam onto the ex-cubby, now dog house to keep a roll of carpet in place over entry/exit. Still wet trousers and back. It was raining while I was doing it.

Lin your fabric looks really nice. What will you make with it or will it be a wall hanging?

Anyways, here's Johnno and love to all. Just click once on pic to enlarge it. His name is fuzzy because he's highlited it with texta. God Bless him.

Helloooooo Commet!

Yo' y'all, bit of Southern accent with a ethnic hint to compensate for my locale. It's been ages since I logged on and as usual I've said so much in my head when I've been doing my own bit that I don't seem to have too much to say now!

A great big CONGRATULATIONS to Rod Neal, proud new dad and Aunty Cec' and Uncle Rey, grandpatrents of their first little Neal. Fantastic, I love the name too.

Mum is here and sends her love to everyone, especially Jacob who she worries about always. Yes mate, she misses you too. Wishes she had Marcus here to mow her yard, no lawn, it's all weed! Greg's here too. Taking mum to his place in the morning. He started down here yesterday but siezed his engine so borrowed g/f's car and hired a trailor, brought his car down here for Tony to fix and he has to be back for night shift tomorrow night. Tony will do Gregs car Friday I think he said so Greg will have to come back at some point soon to pick it up.

Micheila, great to hear from you. Your trip sounded a blast and I'm sure little Reno was happy to have the corn cob removed. Man I'd hate to be pushing one of those out!

Lisa, I forgot, I had a whole case full of casette tapes here to give to you to copy to cd for me. I'll be bollocksed if I'm going to attempt to copy them to the pc, I've been on here all afternoon trying to copy my music to Gregs MP3 player. We each have Toshiba Gigabeats with the same program but his onlu has a USB adaptor whereas mine will only copy music using the cradle. I will have to reboot to do a direct copy to his machine as an external drive.

Took Gizmo to the groomers the other day as he was woolly as a mammoth and the groomer said he had fleas REAL bad. I've locked off downstairs and put some clean bedding in Hokeys cubby for them to sleep there. Of course Bruce's nose was out because I'd taken Gizmo through the house and not him so he pushed through the gate and ran out to me just before I stepped in the car. Lucky, a moment later and I'd've missed him and there'd be Stray Cat on the menu for the day. So Brucie spent the day in the car with me while I drove Giz' to the groomers @ Parramatta then on to Castle Hill to D.J's where I picked up a cologne for Tony (fathers day) then back to Roselands to get Angelina to doctors for injections, had them done 10 days too early and poor little bugger had to have them redone. All that before 12:30 then quickly home to pickup mum to take her back to Roselands to do her thing while I drove on to P'matta to get Giz' then back for mum. Waited for 10 minutes where I'd dropped her off as we hadn't arranged a pickup point, STUPID ME!!!! She was a no show so I drove around to the Coles entry, where Uncle Bill and I went and luckilly she had only just walked out the door to wait for me. We arrived home before Tony but it was a long day driving through traffic.

Not going to playgroup tomorrow as apparantly measels and chicken pox are going round and after 4 weeks of diorhoea (the 'trotts', can never get the spelling right!)I have no intention of risking either of those diseases.

Bloody cat, he's supposed to be afraid of the outdoors but he's been sneaking out when we go out for a smoke. Tony and I have been doing a little tobacco of late but are on last packet so that's it after that. It's easy for us as we just decide to stop and do so. I do enjoy one occassionally, I know, they're dirty and look tacky and stink but I do enjoy a puff now and again. Oh, the cat, yeah, I let him out for a bit last night and he wouldn't come back inside so I thought "stuff ya', you can stay out" and I went to bed, last as usual. 0430hrs I'm woken by incessent scratching at the door. I got up and let him in then mum was up soon after to have breaky then I heard baby wake and Hokey thereafter and that was another night over too soon.

Tony's father phoned last w/e, he needed Tony "urgently to go to the hardware store for wood because Marco's car no good, it's too small" etc etc etc. Tony was at work so I called and told him. He went up after work and his father wants all these modifications made for him to get out of bed, bath etc which Tony told him couldn't be done as there was no supporting framework in the walls to hold what he wanted where he wanted and he ended up just resecuring bars where his father had loosened them. His mother asked him if he would make a noose and hang rail so the old boy could hang himself. Tony said he'd "have it ready this w/e"! The old bloke is driving them all nuts, I stay away.

I agree Jane, it's great for everyone to be in touch like this and Bernice, you say you should do some volunteer work for the nursing home, are you trying to secure a space now for later on? Just kidding, you know that, don't you?

Johnno phoned tonight, whatever the pic's were that he had Aunty Cec' copy he's posted on to me today so I will scan and post on here when I recieve them later this week.

I was in the bottl'o a few days ago buying a couple of casks (on special!) and a dignified looking elderly lady was next to me at the counter with a bottle of Johnny Walker Red. The girl at the counter said "hello" to her and commented that she hadn't seen her in a while. I looked at the lady and nodded to the bottle commenting that it "takes a while to get through a bottle" (it was a 750ml). Poor old dear didn't get my joke and rushed to make known that she also shops for "a few of the girls", God bless her, actually, I think she was one of the new members at our church. Looked like the one who was chummy with me after Sundays service.....

Quarter past nine, I will reboot and do this bit for Greg then hit the sack.

Oh yeah, Hokey had his first run-in with the law the other day. I was rushing him to get ready for playgroup when all of a sudden mum was out the front in a frazzle as there were three cops in the front yard. I went out and the 'girl' officer said they stopped because they saw him outside, unsupervised and near to the road and I should more or less be more on my toes, right enough but I was still thinking "you step into my shoes for half a day sister" as I explained how he'd reached to open the door then unlatch the screen one, even though the chain was still on the wood door and he'd squeezed through. He ran off inside but I made him come out and look the police lady in the eye while she spoke to him to warn him of the dangers of running off without mum or dad. It all went over his head, he's more afraid of the police now than 'bad people'!

Goodnight and sleep tight all in the Southern hemisphere. Good morning to the rest,

Love Sara XXXXX
