Grafton Greetings
Hello All,
Just saying hello. Many thanks to Jess and Lissa for keeping us all posted on Bourke. We all have a soft spot for it.
Nothing outlandish happening here. Funny thing happened the other day though. You know how students use the excuse "the dog ate my homework"? well I now have one to counteract it! I was at home marking students essays when our dog entered the room. I should have noticed that he came in sniffing for trouble. As I finished each essay, I put it in a basket on the floor. I let him poke around and I got back to marking.. Things got pretty quiet so I looked around and I saw Zappa - chewing the top essay! I jumped up to get it, but he thought the game was ON!" He had a great game of chasies around the house. He is amazingly swift!
Puffed and laughing , I finally rescued the now small soggy clump of paper!!!!
It was an honest tale I told my student the next day.
Fortunately, I had recorded the student's mark.
Off camping up river this weekend with friends. Will take their small tinnie and explore parts of the upper Clarence River, about 1 1/2 hours away. Weather looks hot, so should be good.
All well on the family front.
Bernice, Mum said she loved the dvd and has had a great laugh. Wow we were loud at Christmas! I promise to TRY to never sing karaoke again!
Love to All,
Lisa

nope, we really AREN'T flooded.
Hey everybody,
How is everybody?
I'm on my last week at work as a vet nurse, - although saying that i've seen about 10 dogs in the last two days; an epilipic, parvo, dog fight wounds, ring worm the works i've had the lot... the vet is out of town so i do most if not everything else while she's away....bourke is dying and so is many businesses. so i'm leaving the surgery and doing some courses, and hopefully either move to dubbo to live with a friend and work at the zoo or my lastest brain wave is i am very seriously thinking about joining the ambulance service, so god knows what i'll end up doing...
I'd like to say how pissed off i am with the media, this place has poor drainage, thus the reason some of the streets were full for a few hours, everything else has just been really good rain and may just give the farms a bit of hope. There is not water up to the front doors or houses flooded. 2 houses had minor water damage to there laundrys again due to poor drainage. its all a load of bull sh*t. I've had and heard of so many family (not only ours) ringing up soemthing about a disaster zone! it's ridiclous, stupid media, they could do something constructive with there time...so we are all fine and dandy, cobar road is stuffed thats where the main damage is. but i'm sure we'll manage.
The night the rain fell i was stranded down the south easten end of town which had the flooded streets, it was rather amusing. But it was gone in less than 24 hours.
Dad is way out moombar way and melissa is starting her childcare traineeship. Kell is doing Year 10 as well as Tammy.
Had my dog on deaths door last week, had a corn cob obstruction (caught in his intestines) but my wonderful boss cut him open and fished it out and he's doing well again now.
no more real news, more just a quick hello.
love you all
Jess

Sorry for my outburst...
Sorry about that post. I was airing grievances that I should keep to myself but just needed to have a serious whinge. Thought I would be able to logon before anyone saw it but you beat me to it, lol. Have deleted it now.
Yes, I know we have to do something. That is why Tony is emptying one shed to the other. We are going to tidy the old shed, put all the mats in it and a toilet and shower and move Marc out there as there's no way we're going to sell at the bottom of the market just to suit him. So long as Tony can hold up we hope to have it all done this week. Sooner the better. That way Hokey can have his own room too and we can make things more comfortable for the kids. Maybe even have guests around...
I don't know what's up with Ange', I'll ask the girls who run her playgroup (for 'special' needs kids) if they can suggest anything or someone for her to see.
Aunty Kell, you may 'hate' the winter but it is ever so pretty. A gorgeous shot you posted there, pristine, untouched. Lovely.
Tony's back from taking Hokey to school. I have to print some labels for his school hats etc so I will sign off now. Hope all are well,
Sara :oP

Bourke was in the "Sunday Telegraph' today about the rain and damage of Roads..etc
I hate winter
Dear Family, Did I ever mention that I do NOT like winter?? Oh. I thought I had. Never mind,I'll mention it now. If it snows one more time, I'm going to change places with Mo. Then we'll see how much she likes snow. So there.
The reason I am "getting my finger out", is to tell you all that my home town was on our national T.V. a couple of nights ago. Yes, BOURKE made headlines here. First they showed us the fires, then the flood in Qld., & last, (but not least) they showed the flood in Bourke. It was too late to ring Mo, as it was 11.00pm here, so midnight for her. I was quite excited, & had no one to share it with till the next day, when I went to get the mail. My friends, Moira (Adelaide) & Leo have been to Bourke, so I was able to share then. They had not seen it on T. V.
Life goes on here much the same, much the same etc.
"Thank you" to all the folk for the photos. Special thanks to Terese, for the cute photos of the childa, & the BEAUTIFUL wild flowers. I am amazed that they do so well in a domestic garden. More, as you can please Terese. I need a new printer cartrige, so will print them as soon as I
get it. Do you still have sisters???
"Thank you" to Bernice & Lin too, for being so faithful. Also to Lin for the photos, many of which I have recollections. Good to hear from Jane & Lisa too.
I know, you are all thinking "what right does SHE have etc., when we never hear from her".
#@%#&. Well, all in good time.
Bernice, you wondered what we do with our time. I can only ask you to do what we (I) do. Now,
take in a boarder. Must be old, a male, & have advanced Alzheimers. I can PROMISE you, you
will be very busy all day, but you will not get a thing done. You will spend a lot of time in the laundry, & a LOT of time mopping floors. That pretty much takes care of your entire day, but
you will have to do shopping from time to time. Get meals ready, and ON TIME, unless you enjoy being told off. You should vacuum from time to time, but you will have to pick your "time". You should prepare yourself, in advance, for a constant, CONSTANT repetition of the
same subject, usually within seconds of the previous repetition. That is a guarantee. By late afternoon, early evening, be prepared to be "brain dead." Read, "BRAIN DEAD". By that time, even reading the daily paper is an effort, as concentration has flown the coop. Now let me assure you. There will be the odd day when you think, "gee, it's still & quiet". What gives?? That only happens if sleep intervenes. Then you may get the odd job done. You do have to fit into this "organized" schedule, your volunteer jobs, as no one (here) under 70 yrs. will do any volunteering. Therefore, if you happened to have volunteer positions 20 years ago, be prepared to continue now, or else that particular job will go unattended. M. O. W. is a must, as SO many seniors & shut-ins depend on it. Mo will attest to what I have mentioned. Even getting to the computer is an effort. Trying during daytime is almost sinful. And as I said, by night time, DEAD BRAIN. That just about sums up "life with Alzheimers". Pray that none of you finds yourself in this position. As Mo can tell you, Peter HAS to be able to see me. If I'm not visable, her goes looking for me.
When Mo & Bill are here, Bill takes Peter driving. He DOES love a good drive somewhere, & Bill is so patient. It gives us a nice break, & lucky for Bill, he knows it is temporary. We have been out to eat 3 times this past week, & going again tonight. That is very unusual, as Peter usually says "yes, we can go", then when it is time to leave, he decides he "doesn't feel good" & refuses to go. I don't know what caused the change of heart this week, but I like it anyway.
It is great that Tom is with Cook & Dan. I talked to Cook yesterday, but Tom was still in bed. I didn't want to disturb her. Cook says they have had a good time.
How is Seb getting along in his first few weeks?? I imagine he is doing well. Do send my love Jane, & wish him well.
Cec, Lisa, Jorja all having birthdays this month. "Happy Birthday" all. Steve & Jos' anniversary too. I talked to Cec on her b'day, but she had forgotten that it WAS her birthday. They were still in Bourke. The month just about gone, & nothing to show for it.
Sara, I havn't heard from you. I do hope all is well. I look forward to you & Bernice logging on, as you two are the most dedicated. I always have great plans, but you all know " of mice & man" etc.@$#%%#.
Lin, you will have to fill me in on all your exotic experiences. Did you mention on the blog?? If so, I missed it. Come clean. I may even ring you when I finish here, but I think you were going to be in Sydney this week-end??
Tully girls, it would be great to hear from you. All that keeps me going is the news on the Blog, & e-mails, or when I ring someone. The time difference interferes with ringing.
Anyway, & have prattled on long enough. Tom will be home tomorrow, so will catch up with her then. Young'ens, GET BLOGGING###. Talk soon. Kelly
P. S.
I gave away my last lot of fabric, thread, binding etc. yesterday, having finally admitted that at age 75, & with no "Kelly " time, I will NEVER get to sewing again. My "hobby room" will soon have to be re-christened. A woman & her daughter spends their time making quilts for the homeless, & I have never seen her refuse fabric of any kind. "Useless" stuff is used for filling.
They are a great pair, & I do admire their dedication. Kell.
Canberra calling (again)
Well good morning.
It has been a busy week with work, the exhibition and visitors from Wagga. I also have a good friend home from South Africa she is also fro Wagga well Nagus really so to much wine this week so back on the wagon next week. That is what put the weight on me Bernice! Wine and I do enjoy a glass or three with company.
The great dragon boat regatta was cancelled until 15/03/2009 as the good old lake Burley Griffin has blue green algae and we were not allowed use the lake. We all ( 2000) met at the lake and were ready to go but not starts so big picnic breakfast in the cold and rain but we had a laugh about it and will front up again on the 15Th.
So next Saturday the girls and I are of to Sydney for our circus trapezing at home bush, coming Bernice?? It will be for 1.5 hours so should be good for a laugh anyway. Then I might just have to call Ashton circus and get a gig.
No other news. we seem to have lost our summer and I am missing it. But good for fire fighting.
Love to all Belinda

Summer Salutations!
Hello Family,
Just a quicky to say hello. All great here in Grafton. Summer Saturday steamy afternoon, after a week of rain. We were to go cammping again this weekend, but put it off as every thing is so wet about the place (not like Bourke though).
Went camping with Stewart and co a few weekends ago, and that was lots of fun. He only has a week to go before he goes skiing in Japan. Just got off the phone to him, and as you can imagine, he is very excited.
Sebastian starts uni on Monday, so big change in the Egan household. He goes up to Brisbane tomorrow and he will be living in uni residence.
Talked to Mum this morning, Cook, Tom and Danny went to visit mum and dad last Thursday. She said they had a great time, but I am disappointed as they did not take any photos. Mum said they had lots of laughs though.
Received a lovely "old fashioned letter" in the post the other day, from Aunty Ces. It was a beauty. She has lovely hand writing. She and Uncle Ray have certainly clocked up the miles over the summer. I think she is glad to be home now.
Hope the Bourke crew are staying afloat. (Bad choice of words there!)
Bernice, hope the smokes are still a thing of the past. You hang in there girl, we are all supporting you.
Sara, hope all is ok in your household. Thinking of you. I thought it was neat that you went to see the Ferry races on Australia day, loved the photos.
Aunt Mo and Aunt Kell, sending our love by the truck full.
Great to hear from the Kiama krew!
Belinda, circus in is town here. I looked for you!!! guess it was not this one you went to run away with!
Everything is awesome here. Ronny is as lovely as ever and Zappa is as cute as ever!
Hope all is well at your end,
love Lisa

Kiama Kapers
We're enjoying the rain at the moment - wouldn't mind having a pyjama day today but we have plans. Our water tank is filling nicely and the vege garden and fruit trees are loving the water - they've been a bit neglected of late. Nan has her up and her down days. Unfortunately she is not doing too well in general. We are aiming to get down for a visit in a couple of weekends so can give more of an update then.
The pictures are for the Canadians - they are part of our native garden out the front.
The washing machine is now beeping at me and the chooks and duck need to be fed so I'd best get dressed.
Terese.

Hi from windy Canberra
Well I thought it was summer!! Its is so cold here it may as well snow. Today is 14 degrees.
Katie is going to get me my cross country ski's but thinks I should go Skate skis Mo what Ya recon??? Mad huh. that will take a lot of practice and then that means going back to Montana. Well that part wouldn't be hard.
No news the fires are calming down, There are fires at East Kilmore now but no houses or people are under threat. 60 fire fighters from the USA arrived yesterday to help.
We time to go back to work. Just home for lunch.
love Belinda
PS Jo just sent through the photo so I had to share her 'Isn't she cute?
Morning all. It should be about 7-30am for you, and if you aren't up, you should be.
It has been a terrible 2 weeks as we read and watched our country go up in flames......so many of the places in Vic. that I had been to. It was so pretty. The loss of life just tragic, and no one knows the loss of wild life. Our hearts ache for all. Lyn sent us the mail address for the Red Cross and we were able to send a donation to the relief fund. I have cancelled Christmas for this year and am sending money home instead. Then just to top our week of horror off, I read about the little boy taken by a croc. ......Cook and Tom said he went in the river to get his little dog......I know how he felt, but once again, the tragedy of it.
OK. I didn't intend to start off on the morbid foot, it just happens. So much going on.
Lissa !!! Thank you for the news and photos of the rain !!! Just wonderful. Got any more pic.s to share? I am going to save the ones you put on the blog to look at again and again later. WHEN the grass starts to grow, will you go out over the bridge, past Northie, and get some of the green for me? And please, take a minute and let us know how the river is . How high, flood risk, etc. Any little bit of news helps us. Bernice, good to hear from you. Don't worry about us when we don't get to write. I am usually at the blog early am (by early I mean any time after 4-30am )
and it is too early to think. Then the day just gets by on me and I am not and never have been an evening person (since I got old, that is !! As a youngen, now that was different !!)
Wendy's Lot !!! GREAT to hear from you !! And the pic's of the littlies were great. Carol, I have mailed you 2 or 3 times, and get the letter back. Please send your current e mail address...a good way to do that is to write to me !!!
I talked to Cook and Tom a day or so ago. They seem to be enjoying themselves. Lots of talking and remembering when. Wish I was there. Kell and I talk fairly often. Lately it has been more of a cry fest, both of us being without emotion ! Peter is deteriorating and Kell doesn't get to sit at the computer much. He is a lot of work. Bill and I were both surprised at how he had gone down
physically when we saw him last, and Kell says he has gone down mentally since we were there in Dec. Our Dan graduates in June, and I hope we can go over for it. (God parents, you know!!)
We will see how things are then. Bill wants to go over or come back the US route. I hate travelling in the US, but will have to give in and go, he does so much that I want to do.
Lyn, you mentioned doing your Masters some time ago. Dont wait too long. I know you are having fun (and dont blame you!!) but it does get harder as you age, you know!
There is a very light snow falling. Bill just went up to the PO to post some letters for me. We go out for supper tonight, so I have a bit of free time. Am going to go through my mail basket and try to get rid of some of it. I want to sort some photos this winter and then scan them into the computer, and winter is almost over (shut up, Kelly !!) and nothing done. I did get all my slides done during the year, scanned, and on Flash Drive and in the computer too. Did Aussie ones, then Canadian. Got rid of a lot, outdated and faded.
Best go. I am rambling on. The roads are very icy after 2 days of freezing rain last week, so we aren't going far from home. One day last week I had a meeting at the Church, and time to come home, Bill brought the truck over and drove me home. (We live across the street and 1 house down from Church !!) I don't look forward to summer, but will be glad to say good bye to the
ice ! Sarie, I should have mentioned, when I was going through my slides I found a couple of Ted's old truck, in the scrub at the back of Mooculta (he was scrub cutting for cattle, I think.)
They are reproductions of the originals, a bit faded and marked up, but I think would print out OK. Do you want a copy? Let me know and I will scan and print them for you. (Didn't toss the ones I kept !!) May try to put them on the blog when I find them.
Before I go, THE COMPLEX. We are still working at it, but we are getting there. There is a SLIM chance that we may get a game in it before the thaw. Myself, I say let it go, people, let us finish it and have it to start the new season. But who asked me? Or listens, for that matter !!
Lyn, thanks for the pic.'s you put on from your walks. Do so love them, especially the trees.
OK. I'm gone. Love to all, take care and do send the news. The Blog is our life line.
Love you. Mona

Love you. Mona

She's there!
Well Benny flew up to Cooky's today. Yep, she finally went and is pleased to be going for the visit. I hope she is able to relax (we all know how hard that is for her).
All the photo's of wildlife in the Southern heat is heartbreaking but such a enormous and tragic loss of human life down Victoria. I have been praying for those injured and left behind, the Lord hears all our prayers.
Thank you Bernice, I think my two are pretty cute too, they drive me mental but they are lovely. Tony hasn't been too good at all this past week, just sleeping and throwing up. I have to book him to the Endocronologist at RPA as the one at Canterbury cannot help him any further even though his eating habits have improved dramatically.
Jane you must really be lost with all the young'ns leaving the nest and teaching, law and medicine? How proud you must be. I could do with your & Belinda's drops of Red but have to finish the chardy' first.
Yes, we're missing the Canadians for sure, hope all is ok over there?
It's raining here now. We went from 40c on the weekend to 24 on Monday and 22 today with rain. Sheer heaven... Tony installed an air-con' on Friday and I was supposed to pick-up another yesterday but wasn't able to get out so missed the 18month interest free and 20% off deals, bugger! At least he got the little one up in the lounge and shades for all the sunny windows put up.
Have been meaning to write to Johnno and Vicki but just haven't found the time. Slept in 'till 0830 this morn' (knackered with life) and only woke when Giancarlo asked me to open the packet of meat (procuitto) in the fridge so he could have some. Poor little bugger was so hungry. He had that in his hands while I quickly pulled his clothes on him and reefed his socks up. I got him to school at 0930 so wasn't too bad. Didn't get my morning cuppa 'til playgroup at 10am. Been going flat chat since then Don't know what I've been doing as I have nothing to show for my time. At least with the rain I have an excuse to be lazy and throw my washing in the dryer...
No news folks so will move along. Cheers and love to all,
Sara xxxxx

Poor little buggers!!!

Lauren keeps sending me emails with Koala's and the bush fires and heat. Canberra has been the same as every where else in Australia HOT. I love the heat but after being back in the lucky country for 3 weeks and every day has been sooooo hot, i am beginning to rethink my love of summer.
I have been very busy with an exhibition opening this Wednesday night and have not been blogging as much as I should but promise after this coming weekend I will be better at it.
Now for Miss Katie and Doug, where are you 2 now your retired Doug GET ON THE BLOG. I miss my evening drop of red and our chats, whats happening in the land of Apple? I am saving fro Spain (Katie go to Tim and get the winning tickets so i can come to Spain and the Winter Olympics)
Hope everyone is well and safe. my thoughts are with Vicky and her son I pray he is safe, it is such a tragic situation. Our radio station has an appeal for towels blankets cloths toiletries etc so mad rush this morning and cleaned out the linen closet, pantry for tin food and all the new toiletries i could find in the house with out having time to get to the supermarket. The one thing I did buy was a stack of makeup my boss chipped in and gave me a heap as I know what it is like in the morning and the need to cover those lines and spots, I hope it helps a few ladies.
Well must get a bit of sleep before hitting the gym. Bernice I have put on 10kg in the past 2 years so now it is back to the gym and get rid of it. Next months new thing is circus school in Sydney to do the trapeze, you should come with me!!
Love to All Belinda

Greetings from Murwillumbah
Hello every one
I haven't been on for nearly 2 months I sat down tonight with a really nice glass of red and I am now onto my second (very big ones) as it took me so long to read. pure indulgence!!!
It was so lovely to read and hear from members of the family.
School is back and life is hectic. We had the most wonderful Christmas. It was very special and the highlight of the Christmas was having Ken and Bernice there. We just love them don't we!!!!!!!!!!!! wouldn't our lives be not as fulfilling without them. One of the things that I love about the pair of them is that when we were kids we just thought we were so cool having an Aunt and Uncle like them . My children think it is pretty cool having GREAT Auntie and Uncle like them,. I rang Bernice the other night and her mobile rang and she answered it as it was persistent it was only my daughter ringing from the middle of Queensland to talk to her as well Just keep being beautiful Ken and Bernie.
Well life is full on at the moment as I am sure everyone is feeling the beginning of the year stress. We are getting ready to send Sebastian off to Uni. When one of them leave I always feel lost. I am so excited for them however I grieve and it is the grieving for the passing of time. Sebastian is off to study at the University of Queensland he is studying Medicine. He has to do a degree in Biomedical science first and then he does his GP medicine. Medicine is a post grad course here. So his degree will take 8 years. I just pray he can stick with it. It is such a long time. We are very proud of him he has worked very hard to get this far. However, he has turned 18 in the last couple of months and his life since finishing his final exams has been one big party which has been good for him to unwind, Patrick and I just hope that he can get back into the swing of things. He will live on campus and any of you who have lived on campus Know what that means !!!!! party party party.
Anthea is back out in the middle of Q.L.D at Biloela very happy and has signed a 3 year contract to teach out there after that she will get her points up and she will be able to come back to the coast. She is a real country girl at heart that one.
Asha is about to begin her 4th year of studying Law providing she doesn't party too hard and fail she will be finished at the end of 2010. Uni hasn't started so she has been coming backwards and forwards home over the past months and that has been wonderful. She is very excited that she will have one of her siblings back with her in Brisbane.
Grace and Brydie are wonderful the only 2 left at school Brydie started Year 11 this year and Grace started yr 8. Both are a little sad at the prospect of their brother leaving but they will get use to it as we all do.
I hope I haven't bored every one with the ramblings of my chickens. I haven't spoken to Stewart this week Asha gave him a computer (she received a new groovy one for Christmas) so we should hear more from him. Mum and dad are well as are Lisa and Ronny.
Love to all Jane xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well hello there to ye all in cyberspace. Its been awhile but I finally made it. G'day Stewart, glad the girls finally got you to belt out a few sentences. Its nice to hear from you. Mark and family welcome to the blog, how is it for you over there now, a tad on the icy side I take it. Well we will just swelter a bit over here but thats ok its been great beach weather. Hokey get back down here little man the waves are a bit flat but just how you like it. Guess what mate a bloke fell off his kite and swam to Birubi headland rocks and got stranded there. There were a few sharks swimming around so he had to be rescued by the life savers on their jetski. Way to go, thats one that beat the big buggers. A fisherman told me that the big whites are heading down south now, hope they keep going.
Speaking of swimming with the big fishes, guess who took a dive in the Clarance river. Yes and there are sharks in there too, he caught one!!! Well I must say I was very surprised to learn that Tully went swimming. Mind you it wasnt by choice, well not really. The boat somehow got away at the boat ramp and Peter dived in to get in. He saved his smokes first and threw them onto the bank but had his mobile phone in his pocket. He then had to search for another one the same so that it would fit into the car hands free. Managed to do so then got the old one working after pulling it apart and drying it out. Now he has a spare for the next time he goes swimming. I really dont think he would have done it if the bloody billy wasnt in the boat but it was. He would have swam to NZ to get that back and bugger the sharks.
Jacob and I had a fantastic holiday with the Tully crew (unfortunately - Jess because she was at work) the Lowes the Kileys Penny and Peter West and all the rest of the gang. We will be lining up to go again next year that is for certain. It sure makes it when there is such a crowd. The yarns and the stories of the days events unfolded of an evening when we were all back at camp. Lots of laughs that is for sure. Truely a relaxing and most enjoyable time thanks guys. Miss you all.
Marcus missed out on the fun and was slogging away in the heat at Condo working on the watermelons. He stayed in a house with a few young blokes in their 20's and had to fend for himself cooking washing and getting himself to and from work. Down time was spent at the local pool or out at the farm riding his motorbike.
School has started thank goodness but Marcus has had 2 days off already. He has a terrible ear infection, and the swimming carnival was on Tuesday so that was one day off. Mum told me when I got back from toronto that marcus has been chewing on panadol and neurofen like lollies and that the ear drops werent working. He took himself to the doctors on monday and was told he couldnt be seen till thursday. I was boiling when I found out and marched into the drs this am and stated his case. What 15 year old takes himself to the drs of his own volition and then they turn him away. Well they sure found a spot to slot him in I can tell you. I had a look in his ear in the surgery and the ear drum looked like a colliflower was growing on it and the sides of the ear canal was the same. He now has a wick in it having antibiotic drops and oral antibiotics as well as panadeine forte and another appointment for Monday morning. Poor bugger.
Greg has a family of 7 arriving tonight so all bedding arrangements have to be reorganised and a barby for tea. they are at maitland now so its all hands on deck. Marcus has gone off to a party for the night which is a shame because he could have entertained all the kids. I will get ready to take them down to the beach in a minute until the big people get organsied. Garry will bring the meat its just the salads to throw together.
Mum heads off to Aunty Cooks on Tuesday, I just booked her flight. Greg and I are both working so Danny's cousin Les who lives next to where Greg keeps the horses will take her to the airport and help her to check in. All systems go there. They should have a good time together a lot of catching up to do if they can both remember that is, if not im sure they will have fun trying to remember.
Gregs off on a motorbike ride weekend with his mates from work next weekend. They will be heading down the south coast then across to the snowies. Better get the barby arked up Bernice, you might have 20 bikers for a visit. (just joking).
Jacob emailed from a mates to say that he is happy with his chosen school subjects and is looking forward to the year which is great. Unfortunately they were broken into and ALL the electronic stuff was stolen, computers ipods gameboys playstation mobile phones tv's dvd's Bretts tools etc
I hope Brett was insured and can replace some of their losses.
Must go now and start preparing, I have to get up at 5 and leave for work so I want to get started early so I can get to bed reasonably early too.
Happy New year to eveyone may your good health persist, the wallets remain closed and the economy picks up. Catch you all again sometime!!!!!!!!!
Ferry races on Australia Day
Ange and Giancarlo at Luna Park, Australia Day
Angelina, Tony and Giancarlo watching the ferry racesGathering up all her treasures
Yello all, sorry I've been so absent lately, too much to do and not enough time to do anything. Most of the time I'm in a zone somewhere.
No news whatsoever other than Lyn has already said and Bernice's post makes the point. It's bloody hot. Tony's in the lounge installing a air-conditioner before the coming days predicted 40c temps. Seems that soon the Northern hemisphere will be frozen and the Southern melted.
Hardly spoken to Mum at all this week but she's organising to go to Aunty Cooks. Hoping Meg or Greg will book her flight for her as the phone prompts are too much for her to take in and when she did get a live one on the phone she couldn't understand a word he said, probably in Bombay!
Great to see the Kiama's on here, lovely pics girls. I'll put a couple of mine up while I'm on here. I'm still trying to setup my camera to get good shots, only had it for 3yrs...
Like I said, no news so I will sign off and go collect my lad from school. Oh yeah, we started swimming lessons this week. Giancarlo got in the pool no worries as there is a bench in the water along the pool wall. He must've stepped off that and freaked out as he was like a holy man walking on water. He flew out and took off up the end of the pool screaming his head off with the instructor hot on his heals trying to catch him. It was hillarious and I cracked up laughing. The instructor finally got him back in the water and she calmed him down. The rest of the lesson went well. That was the hilight of our week.
Ciao, love Sara xxx

Procrastination

It is easy to tell i have an exhibition opening next week. I procrastinate by going walking or anything but what I need to be doing. So these photos were taken on m walk and are really for Mo and Kel. ( not sure what happened with sizes but they took forever to load so odd sizes it is)
Aunty Kell all the comments about "what about the snakes"? I have the answer, That's why we have the roos, to kill the snakes, (killer Roos every where!!!!)
Not much happening here in Canberra other than its hot and no one wants to do anything. Please excuse any mistakes as I can't find my glasses so blind as a bat and typing.
The girls and I are of to Newcastle this weekend for an engagement party so if we have time will give Meggy a call and maybe met for a coffee.
Love to all Belinda
