Yes, I'm still here and Tony took the keys back to the real estate last night, although his trailor is still in the front yard. I think he'll be collecting that in the next few days. I hope so as it has a very hard to come by Holden 308 motor in it. The tyres/wheels he left in the front one evening where gone the next day but that was ok because that was what he was counting on, less to cart up here.
Our neighbour has gone to visit her daughters for 6 weeks and has told me it's ok to park our cars in her yard and to take the kids round the back to play on the swings. It's been such a load off as Marc wants his car parked right inside the gates so one of us are bound to be home after him and park him in. He says every night that he has to be out of here by 7:30am but come 8am he's still wandering about in gown and slippers talking to 'Puppy'. Aunt Mona, I know you love your little dog but bloke takes the cake. Seriously this dog would be more useful on the end of a stick to mop her own p*** up off the floors.
Aunty Kell pjhoned me Monday or Tuesday I think and she copped an earful. I'll let her fill you in Aunt Mo b/c I get way too riled up talking about it. Missed seeing Lisa on Sunday because we had to go do the shopping and the day had already been a corker after Angelina raided Marcs room and nicked some trinkets. Tuesday I went to playgroup and the girls were asking me how things were going. I asked them if they'd heard of the movie "The House of Sand and Fog". One said she couldn't stop crying over it. I said "well I haven't seen it but the name was 'catchy' and I've named this place The "House of String and Tape". because if it's not tied up or stuck up then it's upside down, inside out or back to front. No bloody word of a lie it's like living in a puzzle whwere the pieces keep changing shape and place. Sounds confusing? Try living it!
When Tony collected me he said he'd found Marcs trinkets, a mini guitar and drum set. "Where" I asked. "I cleaned out the fire and they were in there. The drums were ok but the guitar was melted so I just said "she must've hid it somewhere"". I know that's i0ncorrect use of quotations but to heck with it...
So aunty, that's the effect of living with my bro'-in-law. I'm not going to let this situation we're in ruin my health though. Tony's set to work extending the shed so he can work from home and once he's done that (plans to have it done by this w/e) then he's going to build a granny flat next to it for Marc and reckons "then he won't have to come into the house at all". Hmmm we'll see. Sounds too good to be true but it's what Marc wants too so I'm anxiously waiting ...
Yes Lin, DEFINATELY love a copy of a blog book. Be well worth the cost and as the American dollar is cheap (last I looked) it would be a good deal. Sorry I missed you on Monday. Mind you, I was flat out myself running errands all over town and I'd think you'd be busy with your friend. A very sad situation indeed for her family.
Jess, you know we're coming, right? That's Tony, Myself and the kids. Don't know about Meg, I haven't heard from her in a week or so so I'm not sure what she's up to but she had said she wanted to go out too. I've already booked us in at the Kidman Camp and can barely wait for that one too :o) Tony will gas the car up in a week or so, so it will be a cheap trip out there and back as far as fuel goes.
Rod and Jackie, your little man is such a little treat. He's gorgeous. Well done and Wendy that's a lovely pic of Aunty June too. She looks really well. Rod, what is your (I assume you have one) mobile number? Also do you have Michaels? Or does anyone else out thee have Rod and Michaels mobile numbers? Please email to me. Thanking you in advance ...
Ok, that's it for me tonight. Mum's much better now Aunties, was still a bit shakey and fuzzy in the head yesterday but feeling much better. She's tough as old goats knees (that's what my girlfriend says about her).
Ciao and love to everyone,

Anyone Living?????
Is there anyone out there still alive? Anyone??? Where did everybody go??
Talked to Kell last night and she is feeling much better...says the hospital stint brought her health to its senses, and she feels fine now.
No news here really, I just wondered if I was the only one ever looking at this? I still have the Princess here but think she goes home tomorrow. I will get a bit of work done then. Have a friend coming to stay for the week end, so need to clean up a bit.
Sarie, have things settled any for you? Keep us posted.
I talked to John last week, he was on his way to Dubbo to have his check up colonoscopy, said he would be home today, so I will give him a call and see how things went.
The Pretty One is curled up on her chair here beside me, on Bill's clean clothes, catching 40 ...the clothes are just out of the dryer and are nice and warm! I took her to Morden yesterday to have a hair cut and manicure, I dont like the way her dad gets it done in Brandon. She looks cute and is clean for when he comes for her.
Bill is still busy at the Complex. There is so much yet to be done before we can open, and we need it for hockey season. I will do Smokos on Monday and sit and talk with them...the workers...for a bit. All volunteers and doing a great job. We are full swing into harvest...not bad crops...so that has cut down on the number of workers quite a bit.
Best go, I really dont have anything to tell you. I need to phone around and see if there are tomatos available in any of the towns close by. My usual supplier isnt getting canning ones in this year...great shock to us! So I will try the Hutterites and see if they are selling, otherwise no canned tomatos for winter! Love to all, and please, someone, get on this and give us the news.
We were both VERY proud of our country's efforts at the Olympics, by the way !!
Love to all. Moe.

More of Mona's Musings.
Good morning again. Too early for you to be up, so I hope you have a great day!!
I am just home for a short time, then back to Morden to get Eunice. (My dialysis lady)
Talked to Kell again this morning, and decided to put a note on the blog ...with her reluctant permission......about her. She is having a few health problems (the Payton genes kicking in, she says!!) and we thought we should let fam. know, since we complain when we aren't kept up on health issues at home ! Anyway, she has spent a few nights in hospital, 2 then after a few days another one, ( last night) with very high blood pressure and extremely rapid pulse. She feels weak and has no energy, sounds tired on the phone, but says she is OK. She is on Coumadin (blood thinner) and has had the dose increased, will likely have to have frequent checks on the blood (she didn't say that, I am just going back to when I knew this stuff!) Bill and I are going over in Sept. but will go sooner if need be, meantime, Steve is keeping a close eye on her. We dont know where to from here, but Kell and I wondered if there may be a pace maker involved along the road. (Dr. didn't say, we are speculating!!) Anyway, I will keep you up to date as anything happens. She likely wont be on the blog or E mail for a while, just doing what has to be done takes her energy, but I can (and will) phone any messages, etc. I think she will likely read the blog. And Lyn, again I say ' Thank you' for this ! How great it is to pass messages on knowing you are getting most of the family. I will phone Cec to night when I get home and let her know, and I know she will pass it on to anyone else not on the blog. I had best go, but will keep you posted. Love to all. Mona

Changing the log in
I have been looking into the book option and I have to have a gmail login. That means the email we now use will be changed to gmail.com instead of hotmail.com. I will not change this until we decide if we want the book. I have been playing with the soft ware and can't get it to work and the techo said its because of hotmail. So I will email and announce on the blog if and when it changes.

Do you want this delete Aunt Mona of leave it up?
Good morning all. Just 10am here, so about 1am for most of you...sleep well.
First I must say thanks to Wendy for the great photo of Junie Babe ! What a great snap, and she looks so good. So thanks !! Also thanks to Jackie for the photos of Oskar ! He's a keeper, Jackie and Rod ! ( I told my friends who viewed it, that he has the Payton good looks!! ) You didn't say when his bday is, Jackie, and I forgot to make a note of it when he was born. Can likely get it from Kell.
Now Lyn. Count me in !! I want a book of the blog postings, and especially if it includes the photos! I think it is such a great idea. Keep us updated on the progress of same. I was going to print it out, bit at a time, but a book would be great.
Now for my big news. The Princess Rosie arrived about 20 min.s ago, to stay for about 10 days ! I wont get a thing done in the house, she likes to sit and get scratched ! She has made claim to the deck chair that I have here in the room by the computer...usually my reading chair. If Bill comes in and sits in it, she stands back and barks till he stands up, then the fastest little jump you ever saw and she has claimed it back ! We love her so much. Her dad always brings me wine as a ' Thank You ' for keeping her....since I will not take money.....if he only knew how we look forward to having her. One of the wines (mostly always Australian ) is in a plastic flask with a screw top. Trust the Aussies to get it right! Now we can sit outside and drink from the bottle almost ! But the great thing is, it will keep it vacuumed up, so no spoilage !
Sarie, I think of you so much. Is the move finished yet? And are you settled in ? I hope it is all worth while and works out for the best. Keep us up to date with it.
Now for Tom. I am assuming she is OK since we haven't heard more about her? Please let us know...doesn't have to be a long letter, just how she is. I usually read the Blog early am, try to get a jump on the day with any news.
Have watched some of the Games. Watched Aussies take Gold and Bronze in the Triathlon last night

Mona's Musings.
Good morning all, for the second time.! I just wrote a long page, went to spell check it, and IT HAS GONE!!! Somewhere out in ciber space is a perfectly good letter, with nowhere to go. Just wandering around in space looking for an owner ! DAM it. OK. No more spelling checks. What I write, you get . Two ' Thank You ' notes first. Wendy, what a great picture of Junie ! Thank you so much. I will print it out. And Jackie, what a little keeper Oskar is! I hope he has a great birthday. thanks for the photos, and I will print them out also.
Lyn. COUNT ME IN !! I want a book of the blog. I was going to print it out, bit at a time, but with a book......OH, yes. Way to go. Keep us updated on the progress ! Will it include the photos?
My big news is that the Princess Rosie arrived about 20 min.s ago, to stay for about 10 days. Now I wont get a thing done, she just likes to sit and have her belly scratched, so that is what we will do. She has claimed the chair in the room by my computer as her own, and curls up on it while I am sitting here. If Bill happens to come and sit on it, she stands back and barks till he stands up, then a quick little jump and it is hers again ! Her dad brings me wine...mostly Australian.....as a ' Thank You '. This time, one of them is in a plastic flask. Trust the Aussies to get it right ! Pour a glass of wine, it remains air tight ! Love it !
I have been able to watch some of the Games, but not a lot. Watched Australia take Gold and Bronze in the Triathlon last night.....that is really hard on the nerves! The Gold winner kept looking back as she neared the finish line and I was so frightened she would trip and lose it ! I dont often shed a tear, as most of you know, but let me tell you, I couldn't talk for half an hour after that !
Bill and I went up North for a few days last week. Just drove around over country we hadn't seen before, no phone ringing, no hurry, no committments...it was great. I didn't want to come home, but Bill was ready, so we arrived back late on Sat. Back to the grind.
I have been trying to get Kell on the phone, but no answer. Steve, Jo and fam. are going away camping, and the Sr.'s may have joined them for a day or two. All going well, the Jr's plan to come to PM for a day or two, but not till after the 20th Steve said. Will be good to have them here. The littlies will love Rosie.
Sarie, have you finished the move yet? Think of you so often and wonder how things are going.
I do hope it all works out for you there. And how is Tom? I assume she has improved, since we haven't heard more? Do please keep us posted.
We are going next door...to Burns...for supper tonight. Jarett is 19 today...so we are having Chinese take out ! Sounds good to me ! His mum and dad are trying to get him interested in getting a good job, but he isn't ready to leave home. At 19, he functions as a 13 year old. Very hard on his folks, but I keep hopeing he will grow up more as he gets out in the world...if he gets out in the world ! Best go. Bill will soon be home to eat, and I should get something done !
I had a phone call from one of our retired farmers this am to see if I had a vase to hold ' A few
gladioli? ' Yes, I had, and now I have a beautiful bunch of glads to look at. Have a busy week coming up. Our team is back to escorting a local lady to Morden (45 miles ) for dialysis. The family do it when they can, but we are into harvest now so fam. are busy. My first day is Wed. this week. Dont know when afte that. I do prattle on, dont I? Love to all. And Lissa, I am still waiting. (Does this delay mean ANOTHER spanking ?????) Mona

Oskar is Turning One!
Hi All,
It's certainly been the year of the BIG birthday - Aunty June, Jess and Oskar will be 1 on 31 August 2008. We are busy organising the party and having a ball. Pass the parcel, lolly boxes, tiaras for the girls/party hats for the boys - can't wait!!
Have a fantastic 21st, Jess and dancing on tables will be expected.

The photos are of Oskar's first time at Playgroup (he goes nuts in the boat!) and in his very official Policeman skivvy. This boy is growing up way too fast.
Best wishes to everyone,

A book on the blog
Hi everyone
Well same as everyone life is very busy. I keep studying, why is that? I must be stupid! I am study an advanced business diploma at CIT ( tafe) and this unit is advanced excel so boooooring but necessary. Of to Sydney tomorrow for a funeral and back on Friday for work, we have a 21st at Kenhurst on Saturday night so 3 trip in on week bugger.
Meg what is happening about work and our trip to Brisbane? Give me a call and let me know your work plans.
I have been doing a little research on a book of the blog. I have found a site that we can create a book and they publish it as we submit it. warts and all. What you do is add content (blog post) to there software and then its publish and freighted to a central point. Is any one interested? Of course the more published the cheaper it gets. I can do a proper costing if any one is interested.
I think stick to a year at a time as it will get to big to handle or it may have to be 6 monthly., depending on size
Click on this URL and it will take you to the site. BLURB I am thinking of doing one of my art work.
A quick costing this is in US dollars.
The most expensive book is 401- 440 pages hardcover with image dust cover 33x28 cm $ 74.95 each plus postage postage $28.00 I think this is right
In 2007 we have 289 posts so we should be able to get this into a much smaller book we can add images as well if we want. I would be happy to put it together over a few months if anyone is interested

Hi all,
This photo of mum was taken last Tuesday 12th August.
The flowers are the ones from the Canadians, from mums party, there was a note on them stating if they were not watered they would turn into a dried arrangement. They look very nice.
The table is the one you gave her Kell.
Have to go
Wendy.

I've HAD it. We aren't even completely into this place and we're talking of getting out. Tony has done the whole move by himself and nearly killed himself in the process. I refuse to let him do it again. I'll hire someone. The house is a wreck, helled together by string and sticky tape, literally. I can't use the dryer b/c it blows the fuses. Only need it when it's raining but the weather's been good this week so not so bad.
Mum is also very ill. She called last night to speak with Tony but he wasn't able to talk and she sounded awful. I sent a text to Meg and she was at a job in Toronto but said she is taking mum to the doctor as soon as she gets home b/c she thinks Mum has pneumonia. I've always joked about mums refusal to be sick but she scares the hell out of me when she does get crook.
Too much work to do, can't talk. Ciao all,

From Cold Canberra
Hi All
Well is cold and yuk, why don't we insulate and double glaze I wonder????
Not much happening here I am studying and working full time. I am working on an art installation and that takes some much time and we are not getting anywhere, very frustrating. Yes the cold makes me grumpy.
In saying i hate the cold I am planning a white Christmas again. I have also applied for a travel grant to go to a conference in the USA in January for a week so that would be great if I got the money, would make things easier so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Well of to work now I will try and put up something interesting on the weekend.
XX Belinda
PS Lissa want is the URL for your blog?

Grafton checking in..
Hi All,
This is for the dog lovers only! We are still in shock! We took Zappa to the grooming salon and he now looks like a schnauzer! He is no longer our little bundle of fur! Ok, that is what we wanted, but we were not prepared for it! Sounds silly I know, but ouch!
All well here. The cold weather is a dragging on. We usually have a few weeks of it, but I say enough is enough! Am heading down to Sydney next week, so at least I am prepared for the cold!
Mum and Dad are doing well. Mum's new kitchen is about to start and she is very happy. On the phone the other day, she said she also had a new hearing aid and new glasses. She was very proud of herself, and in the background Dad yelled out that he had a something new too - a tooth brush! He still has it!
Hope all well out there!
love Lisa

hi all..
lissa here, was just checking mjy facebook or my private blog as meg would call it and thought i had better check this at the same time to avoid lectures from everyone.. and well the reading on here is rather interesting because i havnt been on for quite a while..
all is good this way.. dad has been out mustering at salt lake for the past three weeks and hass just gotten home, he was supposed to be home early today but he lost a dog along the way due to a trailer full of killers so he spent hours and hours searching for the dog "ned" his old girl... he was just about to either call it quits or call someone with a plane to see if they could find her when he decided to stop to boil the billy when he saw some eyes looking at him in the headlights and then they were reunited and back on the road again..just cooked hi dinner , sausages, pork ribs, eggs gravy and potato with lots of salt.. not healthy i know but he loves it and its the only thing he wants after being out for three weeks straight..
house is quite clean at the moment thanks to kells cleaning spree shes going great guns with the house work latley and its a big help to jess and i..
kell has lots of assignments at the moment so between al three of us wel have to get those done as well.
jess is house sitting again i think she likes the "me" time it gives her. work at the mobile is great i love it , its so much fun and its so cute seeing the kids from the properties eyes light up when they see our truck full of toys coming.
louth races on this weekend the big 5o yrs of louth.. and god you should see the people there aleady there is going to be thousands and thousands of people and it is sure to be a good weekend minus the sleazy drunks and horse injuries.
aunty mona i got your email and am going to reply very soon i just wanted to leave it till i had a few minutes sare so i could sit down and give it a good shot at filling you in on the goss etc with no distractions..
i did a first aid course on the weekend and it was pretty good, very laid back.
im now doing an auslan course on wed arvos (sign language) i already know quite a bit beacause a good friend of mine is deaf but i figure if im interested i might as well get a certificate out of it, it really fun a well , our teacher is in dubbo so its all vidio confrencingstyle. today we had to draw a marshan anduse sign language to try and give a clear image of what our marshans looksed like to the rest of the class.
the circus is coming to town on the thirteenth and fourteenth of aug, which all the young ones are looking forward to as it doesnt come very often, jess and i are giving it a missas we dont agree with the whole animals being used for peoples entertainment rubbish- a tad hypocritical with us working dogs but anyway opinions opinions ay but kell is tagging along with cathy lowe and her family.
well must get going got an early start tomorrow. take care everyone.. xx

Lisa's Letter
Greetings Family,
Just a quick hello. I keep thinking 'I will get on the blog soon', then get busy and not do it, so here I am! All well here. Am trying to get our plans changed for the next school holidays so we can get out to Bourke for Jess's birthday. Still working on it.
Am off HSC marking in two weeks. Drama practical exam. Will be away for nearly three weeks. Very hard to leave Ronny - and now Zappa too! Busy trying to get all organised before I go.
Mum and Dad are well. Mum had been very worried about Dad - thought he had Alzheimer's. Had the specialist appointment for nearly 6 months. Dr said "what is the problem?" Mum said, 'well, he still makes breakfast, takes the washing off the line, does all the washing up etc' Dr said to Dad " So what is the problem?" Dad said " I don't have a problem, Marj does"! !!! Was very funny. Anyway, the upshot was that Dad was just wearing out and getting old. Mum was very relieved at that. He had been forgetting things of late. Mum said to Dad that she should go on a diet, but his reply was "Why? you're not over weight"! Mum decided that forgetting things had its advantages!!
All well in the Egan household and with Stewart.
better be off to work,
love Lisa

Hello where is everyone, have you all gone on holidays or gone back to the private emails!! Well I have some nice news. Toni Lee phoned me on Sunday and said she had visitors would I like to come for a barby and catch up. No need to ask twice, put the fettacuni on hold and headed to Lemon Tree. Paula Rowen and children were on their way to Melbourne and pulled up for a spell. It was lovely to catch up and meet Paulas family. She reminded me of how when I visited the Paytons in Bondi I took her and a friend to Macas but she thinks it wasnt so much that I was hungry too but more so because I wanted to have a smoke!!! Why does that not surprise me. Anyway lovely to see you all and travel safe to and from Melbourne. Matt you leave Jamie Oliver for dead when it comes to a barby you excelled yourself as always. Aunty June was well, and ate 2 sausages, way to go Aunty June.
Marcus went for a surf with a mate after school yesterday and came home freezing cold, he said he couldnt feel his feet or hands. The dolphins were out playing, a baby jumping the waves. Must be a sight to behold.
Sarie has moved!!!!! have a breather old girl, and enjoy the new found fireplace. Anyone heading to Sydney drop in a log or two of wood for her please. There was an old oil heater in the original fireplace but the house being double brick was freezing. So Tony did a few home modifications with the crowbar and wallah!! the old fire place was reignited and the family was warm.
Jacob hasnt got his computer back, no TV or playstation. The boy is fuming and instead of knuckling down and doing his hour of homework he is rebelling. Behave lad and get the 'puter' back so you can answer my emails. And so you can say hello on the blog.
Well all the lamb neck stew is ready and mum has had a bowl full. I will drop some over to Aunty June too.
Get on the Bloody Blog
Love Meg

Hello all from a wet windy coast line, a might chilly I must say. I snuggle up in bed in the shed and listen to the rain pounding on the roof. Its lovely, even more so when I have a good book to read.
Aunt Mona that windmill shot was taken on the road near Warren when we went to Bourke in July. I think Jacob took that shot.
Peter is away Mustering and has been these past two weeks, Lissa is enjoying her new job, Kell is doing well at school and is knuckling down and getting into the homework. Jess is busy getting her 21st organised. Should be a great weekend. Come one and all she is really looking forward to having a great night.
Marcus is well, he has a part time job on weekends at Bakers Delight in Nelson Bay. He gave up on the trolley pushing(too hard) one of Gregs old flames saw him over at the Salamander shops and was stoked that he greeted her. She said he wasnt to waste is personality pushing trolleys and needed a good pr job. Dont know why she deducted that when all I can get out of him is "I dont know or I forgot"!!!! He will do ok in what ever he does.
Have not heard from number one son. I guess he hasnt got the computer back yet.
Had some bad news again today. A second cousin of mine on Dads side was killed in a head on near Singleton on Wednesday morning. Kate Mitchell 41 single mother of 3 eldest 14 years old. Kate is Nancy Seary's daughter. (My Aunty Bettys daughter). The funeral is this Tuesday. I will go over and see Nance some time over the weekend. Spoke with her this morning, poor darling was so distraught. Her son Michael and his wife Tracey are staying at Kates place and looking after the children. Nancy was a great support to us all when Sarie was in rehab in Canberra. Nance herself has been battling with cancer and I hope this isnt detremental to her health. So send your prayers out to Kates family.
I went and picked Mum up from Aunty Junes on Tuesday at her request, she had a grey streak down the middle of her head and couldnt stand it anymore. Just had to get to the hair dressers. It does look nice now I must say.
Aunty June looked so well and said she felt so much better. She had another treatment today, I hope it went as well as it did last Friday Aunty June. Will ring tomorrow just to make sure all is ok.
I have applied for a casual position at the local hospital here. More so to get a pay number for Hunter area health so it will be a lot easier for me to get a job. Yes they are screaming out for nurses but specialist nurses and a lot of inhouse positions, makes it hard for an outsider to get in and the application process takes about 2 months so I am told. Keep fingers crossed for me.
One of my clients just turned 94, cognitively intact and tells a wonderful yarn. She is blind and knits squares for the uniting church. She has 3 squares on the go at one time. If she drops stitches she leaves that one and goes onto another until a visiter who knits can pick up the stitches for her. She handed me over a couple of balls of wool and asked me to help too. I had to dash out this afternoon and get a pair on knitting needles and have started on my first salmon square. I now feel I am doing my bit for the needy.
Hope you had a nice birthday Lin, with lots of expensive pressies. Waiting to hear from you.
Stewart good luck with the diet. I must do something myself, Im sick of having my tummy sitting on my lap.
Such is life here, hope everyone is well and healthy.
Love Meg

I had to dash out this afternoon and get a pair on knitting needles and have started on my first salmon square. I now feel I am doing my bit for the needy.
Hope you had a nice birthday Lin, with lots of expensive pressies. Waiting to hear from you.
Stewart good luck with the diet. I must do something myself, Im sick of having my tummy sitting on my lap.
Such is life here, hope everyone is well and healthy.
Love Meg
