Halloween in Canberra

Well the girls are at a Halloween party in at thenight club where they both work. Hannah has been there all day decorating etc being baby Martha ( Martha Stewart) as we call her. So I only have a photo of Lauren.

I'm back...

Well hello everyone. It's been a while but I jst don't seem to find the time at all. I liked this place when we moved in but now I can barely stand it. There is no time to do anything, as much as Tony has cleaned up out back and inside there is still no space to put anything. It's cramped, cluttered and decrepit but it's paid for so for that we are thankful.

We've had a notice from Fair Trading from the previous landlord. They are trying to get $3000 out of us for "cleaning, repairs etc" which was all supposed to hjav been done by them when we were tennents. Can't believe the scams these people try to pull. Another incident isa car Tony installed gas on but the owner needed the car before Tony was finished so took it and was supposed to come back bt didn't then had the lpg removed and is trying to get 2K back out of us. *&%$ing incredile these people!

So my time has been taken up with other 'matters'. Angelin is in here turning the fish tank into dumping ground . Poor old fih has keyrings, pens, screws, dog collars, cars and heaven only knows what else in there. It's like the Darling River but that old fish has lived through cereal, spaghetti bolognaise, toast, chocolate sandwhiches and much more so I figure a rubbsh tip won't hurt him...

Thanks Big Girl for the pics of Mark and family. They are lovely and a very handsome family too.

Bernice, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I had hoped to be there but alas it isn't to be. I will give you a call later.

Yes mum has gone back to Gregs, I mss her terribly and the glass of wine at night. Just isn't the same alone :o(

We went to Centenial Park last w/e and took the kids around the par on one of those double pedal carts. I couldn't pedal because my left foothas it's own mind where it goes and the right foot couldn't do it alone. We only got about 50 metres away from the hire place and Tony wa stuffed. I wanted to get out and walk back to get someone to come and get the xcart but ony pressed on. Fair dinkum I thought he was going to carc it. 3/4s the way round he asked me to hop out so Hokey and I walked the rest of the way while he pedalled Angelna back to the hire place. He drove the car aound but we were already back by the time e reached us. The cart only have small wheels so it makes pedalling very hard work. Poor bugger but now he wants to get a tandem bike and put a racing pedal on for me so I can strap my foot in. That I would like.

Brother-in-law is driving us insane but he's part of the house so we have to put up with him.

Ange' is running amok here so I have to nick off. Love and kisses to all. I DO think of you all but just don't get time to sign on and rant about everything...

Di ended up on the side and I couldnt set it straight.
Hello to everyone, it seems the blog has gone out of fashion.
Mum is back here again and has done the usual, gone through the house with a fine toothed comb. Not a dust bunny to be found. Thanks Mother.Sarie don't know if you read the blog still but all is ok here. How the heck are you. Will ring later on. Greg made it to the gold coast ok, surfed at Lennox Head but the swell wasnt much. He will head back home on Saturday.
Stay well all.
Where is everyone

Jacaranda Junket!

Hello Family,
It is Jacaranda Thursday and we have the day off. It is a fun day, the whole town has turned purple. Should have gone out and got photos, but , well, maybe next year! We went down town this morning and checked out the shows. Street gets closed off and all the shops do concerts in front of their shops. I used to take Aunty Wyn down town on Jacca morning and she loved it. After that, Ronny and I had to do maintenance on the unit. Painting - (yuk) and other things, but it is all finished now. Time to kick back and relax now. Have been meaning to write for ages and now I finally have the time.
The photo I hope to includ was the one that the Daily Examiner - local paper- took on the day of my hockey grand final. It was in the paper, so thought I would share it with you. Ok, can not work the photo. Will try a separate entry next!
Mum and dad are fine. Ronny and I were with them last weekend, mowing and vacuuming. All good now. Jane is HSC marking in Coffs Harbour this week and next, so I will go down (only an hour away) and catch up with her one night. Stewart comes down in two weekends time to go camping at a friends place with us, so am managing to catch up with all the immediate family. It is always a great time with them all.
School is as mad as ever. I have my big Drama night coming up so am busy rehearsing. Finally finished the play I was writing for my year 10 Drama, so that is a huge relief. Only three weeks to go! I have to admit, the class devised piece we are developing with my year 11 Drama class is awesome! Sorry if I sound pompous, don't mean too, just excited.
Oops, Ronny is calling, beer o'clock on the back deck! Better run.
Love to you all,
cheers,
Lisa

Bernice / Sunday

Hi all hows things, we have been busy...Ha that' motor bike' was a joke! it was a friend's and Sara it was last Sunday! not the 70's.
You know I never thought Ken looked like Steve, but in this picture I think he does.

Last Friday night my girlfriend took me out to a show, it was called "Busting out" 2 women comedians on stage doing what you would not believe with their "Boobs" talk about funny it was great if ever it comes to your Town go see it its hilarious...too much rude stuff to tell you about but oh so funny! we loved it.
Last night Ken and I went to one of his mate's farewell, it was at a club but man we had a good time, Great meal..I had veal scallopini ken had barramundi beautiful, good company and I danced most of the night!! It was great.

Meg your letter was very informative made good reading, glad your happy in your job but hope you get a closer one soon. Phoebe off to Rome! go phoebe, she'll give em heaps. Hows jacob going Is he doing year 12 now? Don't forget to let us know whats up with the 31st.

Sara, sounds like your busy, but you seem happier thats good to hear, Hokey will be cool' Public speaking', I reckon.

Jane...You Patrick and kids full on aye...tell Seb for me to get some Gingko Biloba and Brahmi' into him a lot of students take it as it alerts the mind..and if he is allowed a piece of' rosemary' to sniff while in exams..opens the senses...I took it in to exams at tech..My teacher who was a card said Bernice what sought of "Voodoo' are you using? Ha! but let me have it..bye the way "I topped the class too.
Where are the Canadians????? hope their well?
Mandy I will get back to you soon, I haven't been to the Gym as it was closed School Hols, then i got and still have middle ear infection and have dizzy spells, so have had to have a spell until it goes. Will get back into it tho. And yes they did get their wishing well I made them Ken sent it on a Truck earlier in the week before the wedding thank goodness. Say hi to your Mum &Dad
I am going to finish off ..I'm so tired I can't handle "2 Nights out in a row! so hi to all and hope all are fine and I will write again soon..Bye now ...Love bernice xx

Balmoral, Huh? Oh sorry, Belmore...

Hello all. Sorry I haven't been about, I just don't seem to find the time in this house, even with mum here and she is such a godsend but at her on 'witts end' at being here and will probably go home this week unfortunately :o( I envy your time to read or even listen to audio books, bliss.

Lin, I have extended warranty at Harvey Norman so called them and they gave me another keyboard so now any typo's will be just that. We'll see anywy... No, stuff it, it must be a bug r something but my virus checker and 'all-wormer' aren't picking it up???

Bernice, I thought that photo was rom the 70's, fair dinkum the flares, thongs and stripey shirt. Dunno but a long plait but perhaps a headband... Didn't know Kenny had bought a bike. Greg doesn't speed anymore. He tells me he finds it hard to wipe the smile off his face when he's "cruising".

That was a beautiful thing for Uncle Steve to say of Johnno and it is beautiful o see Johnno so happy too. He deserves to be happy and hav some companionship. I really must call him, I haven't written for months.

Jane you amaze me how you keep it all together with so much study and exams going on. I think the only topic I excelled in atschool was religion because I was the only one not using the class as a study/homework room for other lessons and I always drilled the 'father' about what he was teaching. I always had an opinion of my own and he liked it. I'm freaking out now because I have to help Giancarlo prepare for a local St Geoge Public Speakig competition. Fair dnkum though, the kid's in Kindergarten and they are already into 'public speakingt'. I thought he'd want totalk abot cars but he took one of Daddy's model choppers to school for news on Thursday so he's decided to talk about motorbikes.

Lisa I cannot begin to imagine how blissfull peaceful your holiday must've been. It sounded like absolute heaven and I wish it were us out on that riverbank, so so peaceful...

Big girl I'm sorry I missed your call. I on't always hear this phone when t rings so if I don't hveit on me then I usually miss the call. I loved the photo of you and Lin. The girls put it on Facebook. I didn't get to se the ones Mark sent you, would you please forward them to me? Thanks Big Girl. Oh and with your birthday coming up I have a corker of a card ready for you. Actually, I have the next few years covered and I know you won't be able to top these cards :oP For everyone else, every year Meg and I send each othr birthday cards which have a 'dig' at each others ages. I've given her some beauties and received some beauties from her too. Keeps us amused, Like kids with a cardboard box... Jett's birthday tomorrow and Marks on Thursday. Also ot your txt from Trish, I told mum. They must've been somewhere where mum had worked up there. I hope she gets Michaels number for me.

Well I hear much banging and crashing coming from the loungeroom so I'd bet go and investigate. Love and kisses to all,

Sara xxxxx

Murwillumbah signing in

Hello every one,
I am suppose to be doing reports but I thought i would have a little interlude. Every one is studying here everyone has EXAMS!!!!!!!!! Sebastian started his first H.S.C on Friday, it was a good paper (paper 1 English) and he went in very confident. Lisa and I are very happy with his writing. Tomorrow is a big one at the moment he is going through "Oh i can't remember anything" stage. He will be right by tonight. Tomorrow is paper 2 of English, Thursday he has Biology and Friday Maths. This week is a big week. After that he only has 2 left, Studies of Religion and Physics. He is lucky because he was accelerated and did one H.S.C subject last year (chemistry). He finishes on Melbourne Cup day (that will be a very big one for him) celebration I mean.
Brydie starts her Yr. 10 Trial EXAMS tomorrow and her school certificate is in 2 weeks.( mind you she is presently studying by the pool)!!. Asha is back an forward as she has her Final EXAMS for the year. Patrick is also studying and he has his EXAM 2 weeks time. In one weeks time I take off to mark the English H.S.C EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thus, it is a bit of a EXAM household. Despite all of that it is very calm probably because they are all doing it together and we tend to be all focused on Seb.
Oh dear that is probably sooo boring to every one. However I am so lucky to have the children that I have and the work ethic that they have and while I keep going on about EXAMS every single one of them are putting 100% in and you couldn't ask for anything more.
Mum and dad are very busy at the moment saving the local Lismore community, Lisa and I were talking the other day and we have decided well they are so busy however while they can be it is a good thing. Lisa said "what would dad do if he wasn't doing that" So while I think they should slow down and relax it is probably not what they want.
Okay i had better get back to those reports because they are not going to get done by themselves. Love to all may not be on for a while as I will be away marking. Love Janexxxxxxxxxxxxx

Anna Bay Back

Hi there one and all

Arrived home at 11pm after doing a double shift at the end of the weeks roster. Very tired but happy with the new job at Toronto Private Hospital. Have caught up on the Blog finally. A great read over a cuppa I must say.
Well the Bourke trip was wonderful as usual, and I can add a heap more to what already has been said but will not go on about it too much. The storms were awesome, dont see them like that unless you are watching them out over the ocean. Lissa Marcus and I had a tonne of fun out quong dong hunting and unfortunately it was the end of the season but we managed to bag enough for me to get a fix. Mind you I had to wash the grubs out and their poo!! Waste not want not I say. Next year I will get out there and sit under the bloody tree and wait for them to ripen.
It was good to catch up with everyone again, and dont believe all you read. I wasnt swinging off a dishrag all the time, I had a good time too and everyone chipped in to help. Though I waspleased with myself for managing to cook 2 chooks and a turkey .Tully breezed through the kitchen and said Meg could you cook those hanging on the closeline for me for tea. This was at 5:30. I lead poor Pam Rossit to believe that I had just killed and plucked the things after I had just arrived from Anna Bay and was letting them set. The Killer was still tied up on the back lawn awaiting its fate. So Pam believed this. We all had a bit of a chuckle over that. But yes I did cook them and with a few helping hands the fouls were accompanied by chips on the barby and a lovely tossed salad and garlic bread. We all did well.
I saw Pheobe Gaffney and Fiona and her 2 children and Phillip Gaffney too. All well, Pheobe is off to Rome at the end of November. Probably to hold a service for the Pope knowing Phoeb.
Marcus and Greg have gone off surfing, well I think they have boards and dogs were gone when I got up. Macus has a couple of lobster traps in and has been getting a few. There is a beaut one in the freezer I saw last night. He has given the others to his diving mates!!!! They spear fish as well while they are out there diving for the lobsters. Well it is going to be a beaut day here and I have a load of washing to do so I have uniforms for next week.
Lin I Really dont know when I will have that weekend off. Like I said I will have to work around you if you let me know the plans. Bernice I will give you a ring at some time this weekend the roster is out until the 3rd of November and guess who is working the weekend of the 31. I will try to find someone to work it but dont like my chances because I fill some shifts that they cant find anyone to work. Toronto is full of Seventh Day Adventist and half of them work at the hospital and dont like to work on Saturdays or take it off reqularly as a standard request which the hospital has to honour if they can. So that is one reason why I work nearly every weekend.
Great for the pay packet but a killer for the social side of life. Anyway I will see what I can do.
Havn't heard from Sara for a week, but mum is still with her in Sydney. Hows it going Big Girl, tried to ring you on my break yesterday.
Bernice!!!! now the motorbike...... Kenny make sure she is in full leathers at all times to totally look the part and get a plaited hair extension to hang out the back of the helmet. I know you have always wanted a bike Kenny but I must say I am a bit surprised at the purchase. Please take care out on the roads, I feel sick everytime Greg gets on his Harley.
Toni are you back from Perth yet and how was it. I know that its been ages since we caught up but we have to organise something soon ok or it will be 2009 before we know it. Aunty June will get over to see you soon even if it is only for 5 min, that is when you arrive home. Mandy hello there how are you, missed Jenny when we were in Bourke as she had gone to Wagga to the girls, next time. Mandy why dont you print off the blog letters for Aunty Ces like Toni does, its a good idea, and she can start a book herself. Take care and I didnt get a chance to tell you how fantastic you looked at Aunty Junes 80th.
Could go on and on but have things to do and places to go and only 48 hours to do it all before I head back to Aunty Dots in Toronto and a full weeks work. The polyclinic director phoned me yesterday to tell me that they are now recruiting at Nelson Bay and they have processed my application so I might get a few shifts there hopefully.
Love to All Meg

bernice the Bikie'

Hi all just tried to post a picture don't know if it went or not now ??? Anyway how is everyone? all good I hope.
Me, I was and still am so p....d off! The wedding which I had planned to go to for 8 mths and had booked for 5 mths ...well we arrived at syd airport and was ready to"board" to the flight to the gold coast at 1.15 (the wedding was at 4.30 and a hour away from gold coast airport, they then said our flight was 'delayed 6 hours '!!!!! we would have not arrived at the wedding until 8 hrs later! so Ken cracked up! we did try other airlines but it was a longweekend and school hols ...so no one cared as all were booked out! Long story and there were other delays and changes to our flights and no help what so ever we were flying with "JETSTAR" and I will never book with them again! I wrote a letter of complaint and needless to say i missed one of my best friend's wedding and I was to be her video photograher..Unretrieveable!!
I was so very upset and still am, so was she! we got a refund and came home so very upset. So that was our weekend. ken said we could have gone to Bourke! Jane was to pick us up from the airport too so we missed seeing her too!!! Stuff Jetstar! Anway i wrote a letter to them telling them what i thought i was like a mad woman that hadn't taken her medication! I'm waiting a reply!

Stewart was a good sounding board to let it all out ..as he always is for me, It was also nice to hear what a lovely party Jess had and what a lovely time they were having up there, nice to hear someone enjoyed their weekend. I'm glad'.....See the lovely Governer General was up in Bourke and staying with Stewart and Marge Steve at the Old Manston Lodge, She's a classy lady I like her their saying she took the rain....I reckon it was Steve and marge!...Marge said "Meg was a Blessing up there such a good help with the party and reminded her of 'Tom' as she wouldn't sit down, the Tully girls are lucky to have her.
Bob and Trish are up in Cairns QLD with Micheal and enjoying it.

I was talking to Sara the other day was nice. tried meg but couldn't get onto her.
Your pictures are nice lisa and you sound like you had a very relaxing time ...good on you both.
We went out to a 21st also engagement sat night and have a farewell next sat night then hallloween then russ's 60th in Wagga then a nother 21st 29th nov...so very busy social life next few weeks..I will try and keep up...WellI'm off now hope my cool photo gets on..Ha1 bye for now keep well love bernice xx
Lisa... you know Stewart told me that story about what your dad said about John and Vickie and i said to ken what a lovely thing to say and yes so true! I was touched too. Actually John rang last night and he was so happy just chatting he is just so relaxed and happy great to see and hear.

Zappa the guard dog!

Greetings All,

Lisa here, just catching up on the past two weeks. Stewart told me all about his visit to Bourke and the party with Mum and Dad. He said it was a great time, had a real 'Bourke fix', which was what he needed. He had a great time at the party, said it was fun. The whole trip sounded like it was a great adventure. I am sorry we missed it, as I know many of you are. A beautiful story came out of it ( one of many, I am sure). Stewart was talking to Mum and Dad about Johnno and Vickie, and Dad said "I wish mum was here to see it, if only for a few minutes, just to see John so happy". I thought it was beautiful. What better than an 82 year old wishing his mother could see his 61year old brother happy!

Stewart said Dad had a real spring in his step the whole time he was there - Dad would not admit it but he really loved catching up with old friends- actually, I think he did admit it!! Mum loved it too - but then again, she does not need any encouragement to talk to anyone, let alone old friends!!!!!!!!!! Am sure Stewart is sipping on Splash as I type this.

Ronny and I had a nice relaxing holiday(2 weeks school hols). We were planning to go to the party, but all plans changed and Ronny was very ill until Wednesday before the party. We went camping on private property by the Clarence River for 6 days and it was wonderful. Just what we needed to recharge the batteries. Will include a few photos of our little piece of paradise. We slept, ate, drank, fished (yes, I caught my first bass! - threw it back though) and were merry. We saw nobody else for the whole time and it was bliss. When we came home, we stayed the night, restocked the van and went camping by the Mann river for 3 nights. Bliss again.

School starts again tomorrow and in a funny sort of way, am looking forward to it! I have great classes and new topics to teach, so it is exciting.

Zappa is still his gorgeous little dog self. He thought he was a great watch dog when camping. Sat and watched the cattle for ages on end. Will try a photo of him on guard!

Hope all well with everyone out there. thinking of you all,

love Lisa

Hi All

No news just thought I would say Hi. Where is every one?
I have just put together my new BBQ, its a webberQ and very flash. We are going to christen it tonight. Shame I didn't bring home some of Robbo's snags but will finf something suitable.

I have lots to do ( house work YUK) and am about to go out to Borders to find another audio book, I listen to 3 cups of tea to and from Bourke it really kills the time. So with that one finished of to get another. Borders is deadly for me as i love art and design books and they have a huge section and nice magazines as well. so maybe I best leave the old amex at home and just take a few $$$ cash, but hey why not get something to waste a bit more time on.

Sara if you want to fix your typo's the ABC with a tick below it next to the load image icon will bring up all the errors and then click on them not right click just click and then it gives you options. When you have finished click the done spell checking ( in green)

See you all later
Belinda x x

Sara 12/10/08

No worries at all 'Lissa (no 'h' on the Sara either:o/), glad they can be of use.

Tony's quite crook today so I'm waiting for the day to cool a bit so we can take the kids and dogs to the park for a run. Poor bloody dogs have been cooped up in this pissy little backyard for coming on 3 months now and kids only have the stinky dog pooie back yard to run about in so a trip to the park is vital forstrength and anity on all parts.

Typo's are still in ful force b/c I haven't yet replaced my keyboard.

Life here is still as rough as the Wanaaring road, mum can barely wait to go home. Tony and I would like to join her but alas, another day...

Hope allare well. I'm still sore at having missed out on Jess's party and all the gathering. Looks like it was an awesome night.

Take care, Love as always,
Sara xxxxx

Greetings from Murwillumbah

Hi every one,
Just got off the phone from Stewart he was about to take the kids out to the ten mile for a swim, I am so envious he said it was a fantastic night a lot of people. The unthinkable happened yesterday and he couldn't believe it, it actually rained. I don't know whether it rained for the party but they were on the paddle steamer and it started to hail.
I think mum and dad are really enjoying it particularly catching up with their old friends.
Stewart told me it was 4.00 am this morning when he and Belinda went to bed (and that was not daylight saving time) very slow this morning.
I will ring you Bernice the football grand final is on at the moment so I won't disturb you. I hope that you eventually got home all right. I couldn't stop thinking of you. Stewart said you should have thrown a hissy fit at them I said I think you were too angry even for that. I will let Bernice tell you about her airline experience. She is probably still cross I know I would be. I woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather, I thought Stewart will be feeling this way, Belinda will be too and so will Meg (apparently she was going to have a drink!!!!!) Asha will be like this the only people who won't be like this Will be Kenny and Bernice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope every one out there is well and happy enjoy the long weekend
Love Jane xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy Birthday Party.

Hi Jess....it is 8am here, so 11pm for you and the party is in full swing! Wish I was there! I know it isn't your B.Day today, but I wanted to say I hope you have a really great party. You wont see this tonight I know, so I am also hopeing you and all the GUESTS take lots of photos and share them with us ! And that applies to the rest of you crowd, too. Put some photos on the blog, then send the rest on a DVD. And just send one, (each, that is. One each !!) Kell and I have purchased a DVD player to play the PAL system, and I have it now...brought it back last trip, but will take it and ANY NEW DVD's
to Kell when we go at Christmas. Need to have breakfast so will go. I am trying to get all the autumn things caught up and when I do I will get back on here with any news, etc.
Love you all, have fun. Mona
