no news.

WOW! Is there anything Lin can't do? Now photography; beaut' pictures.

Missed 'earth hour' last night. We were up at Nonna's for dinner then came home and as nothing (notices) came on the screen from Foxtel then the whole thing passed without my knowledge. I get jack of it but the satelite tv is the only 'thing' Tony has so I let him have it; real nice of me!

I can hear Hokey in the lounge destroying the place. He makes a heck of a racket and mess when he gets going. Madam is on the bed with Tony. She took a nose dive down the back steps yesterday so I had to cancel the photographs I was to have taken of her today. Little nose and top lip are all scraped up.

I spoke too soon, Angelina is now screaming her lungs out. I'd best away and tend to them all. Aunt' Mo' I'll check the email now for the one I sent with mums number in it. Will forward it on to you asap.

Love to all, Sara xxx

More dumplings.

I didn't mean to post the one below, but these things happen
Here is a recipe of Graham Kerr's Remember him? Had a TV show. Forget the name, but GREAT cook.

Graham Kerr's Dumplings.

1 cups plain flour.
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp.salt
1 tblsp. olive oil (Buy GOOD stuff)
1 tsp. chopped rosemary (Save some to wear on Anzac Day !!)
1/2 cup milk.

Mix. Cook as in the other reecipe, about 20 mins. at 375 d.

Hope these help.
Back to voting. Lissa, E mail me your E mail address. Luv. Mona

Dumplings for Peter and Lissa

Lisssa so good to hear from you !! Keep it up! My dumpling recipe is very easy. I usually double it, Bill likes them too.

Mona's Dumplimgs.
1 cup plain flour.
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Crisco. Fill cup with boiling water.
Mix. Put on top of stew, put lid on and cook at 400. I do my stew in the oven, if
on top of the stove just keep the stew boiling. It doesn't take long to cook.
Crisco is a vegetable shortning, you could use butter or marg. I guess. I take the lid off my stew and let the dumplings harden a bit...don't like soggy !!

a short note from lissa

hi everyone just a short note to let you know that we are all still alive however busy, with the usual school work and everyday life
I got into uni for B marine science and management at lismore uni but deferred, jess is still at the vets, mum still working at the school, dad still here there and everywhere, and kell still working her way through school.
had some awesome weather here rain every now and then and colder days.
Easter in bourke was very quiet most people headed over to the rodeo in bre which ended up getting pretty much ruined by the wether heavy rains n stormy weather scared most people out of camping.
Dads got a fairly new red kelpie pup whos turning into a pretty good dog he thinks the world of her and shes incredbly spoilt lays on the lounge with him etc which as most of you would know "macho strict tully" wouldnt normally allow but oh well they say you get softer with age.
we had a surprise visit from marcus who decided to scare the *&@! out of us by walking up to us in the back yard after growing quiet a bit scince we last saw him and announcing himself. we had no idea who it was until he was virtually in the house we just thought it was some random in our yard which the dogs didnt really agree with.
turns out he was here with greg who was getting a horse broken in by rossi gale so marcus spent two nights with us then headed back home with greg.
johns going really well we see him usually about once a week be it at our house, his or in the street and he looks pretty happy and healthy.
i wrote at the start of this entry that it was a short note think i may have gotten a bit carried away so before i go, the other night while watching a tv show that had someone eating dumplings on it dad started carrying on about how much he loves them and about how someone used to make excellent ones and how mum never makes them so im wondering if anyone on here has an old recipe for them so we can make them and shut him up!
if anyone has any could you please either post it on here or email it to me whichever suits you.
ill finish up now im buggered and need to head to bed so take care
lissa xo

Earth hour

Well did we all participate in earth Hour? I did and it looked like our whole suburb did. It was weird really to go up stairs and look out at very thing black except the street lights. It was have been interesting to see from the air, and I saw a lot of stars I had not seen for a while.

Well not much going on here in Canberra the girls worked last night so they are a sleep of course and will be until lunch time so I am going to head into the lake for a walk and then on to the NGA to see the Turner to Monet exhibition.

Hey Kell my garden is looking good. and I have planted a ginko tree at the front gate.

Hope everyone is well. Belinda

PS Bernice I accidentally deleted your email with Stewart's phone number can you sent it again please.

Canberra Calling

Hi All
Not much to say but the dogs and I went for a walk today so I took my camera and took a few happy snaps for the O/S people, well Kell and Mo really. Kell this is the walk you and I did so you might recognizes some of it. I didn't go all the way to the end as it was getting a bit cold and I was only wondering so the dogs had some out time.

The girls went to the Sydney show today and were to go to Celine Dion tonight , but she had to postpone the show because of illness. So they are going back next weekend for the concert. Guess it's me and my pat malone again.

Palso, Lauren bought Uggs at the show with fox fur trim!!!! she loves them.

Hope everyone had a great time in Mexico and Happy Birthday Uncle Peter.

Not much more to say have a great week end every one.
Belinda x

Hockeyville....WE ARE IN !!!

Taking time out when I should be sewing to tell you WE ARE IN THE TOP FIVE!!!! Now I need votes for the final ballot ! We do get $20,000.00 now, but we are greedy, we want the $100,000.00 !! I sent the info to all who vote, I hope, but if I missed someone, please let me know and I will send it. I have to work out the times we can vote...they are given in EST, so I have to bring it to my time, then convert to your time !! So will let you know.
We spent a quiet Easter. Rosie was sick, so we didn't go out other than to church. Had a bachelor friend in for supper, a few glasses of wine and I cleaned up,Frank went home and we were in bed by 11pm. Rosie is better this am. The little tiger, she is a fussy eater, HATES dog food, and is picky about what people food she will eat ! Big frankfurts are her fav., but with so much salt in them, I try to limit them. It is cloudy and cool today. We will be able to walk later in the day. This am I have to sew 6 denim bags...big as shopping bags...fill them with colouring books, crayons, little toys, story books and anything else that I can think of. Bill has Diocesan Council in Winnipeg tomorrow and I take the bags, filled, in to our Cathedral to go to hospitals for little kids from the North who came in with nothing.
I have purchased a few things over the past few months and need to get them out of the house. Bill is of course at the Complex working. I have to spend the afternoon on the phone looking for women to supply smokos for the month of April. I am hopeing each one will take a full day, two smokos, and I will fill in when someone cant make it. Best go, I am just rambling. Love to all, and please vote when you can. I will post times and dates. Love to all. Mona

Hockeyville

Good morning all, and a very Happy Easter to all. We are still in Holy Saturday, getting ready for tomorrow. Our service isn't till 11am at Clearwater, so we get a sleep in !! Bill is over at the church doing a few odd jobs for me, I am waiting for the Princess Rosie to come....and stay for 2 weeks. Her dad and his daughter Lyn are going on a short cruise, so we get to baby sit. It is snowing a light soft snow. We had about 2 inches during the night. Herself will be pleased, she likes to walk with me in the snow when it isn't too cold. Now tonight we should know if we made the top 5 in Hockeyville...more tomorrow if we do, we will need votes again! Bill is going to hockey in town tonight, the finals for our league, and we are tied at 2. We really need to win ! I had a nice note from Trish for my birthday, and will answer it today I hope. I talked with June a few days ago. Does anyone know what is happening there? She didn't give me much info., but it sounds very worrying and you know me, I am worried. Please keep us up to date. Where are the rest of the family? Nothing from the Tullys or Meg in ages. Lyn is keeping busy! I wrote E Mail to her re Habitat. Talk to Kell every other day or so. She and Peter are still at Whitefish and wont be home till the end of the month. I hope to meet up with them and the Markuses at Minot in April. Dan is playing hockey there and it is a short drive for us, so we will go down for a visit. Nothing new to tell, so I will away and get on with some sewing. Hope everyone has a great Easter. Love Mona

Howdy all, Bernice did I say something out of line? I apolagise, I do have my moments of offspring induced psychosis. Yeah, the new med's are a lot better, still in the crossover stage going from the other one to the new one but already feeling a lot less tired.

Tony worked today so I took the kids to Burwood to get Hokey a new pair of school shoes as he's worn holes in the toes of two other black pairs. Angelina slept in the car on the way home and refused to stay asleep when we got home. She screamed all evening and only dropped off an hour ago. Then Hokey started screaming soming silly at the television and woke her. Fair dinkum I feel like screaming myself at times.

Tonys mum phoned today while we were out, going off at the answering machine again. She said to Tony "When are you coming around? I haven't seen you in two months". It's been 5 weeks since Nonno died and 3 weeks since I've been there, he was there several times before that. Tony goes off his head whenever he speaks with them, not a nice family. They run him into the ground, speaking bad of him to anyone who will listen but then he's the first person they contact when they want something done because his brother is too thick to do anything himself. He's "too tired" or doesn't feel well enough to drive his mother down the hill and up the other side to visit with us but we, foot in the grave or not must make a concerted effort to go their every week. Shite, Tony's pumping himself with insulin, blood pressure meds and anelgesics for his back, goes to work doing heavy labour for a pittance of what he's worth, to support his family. Marco takes tablets for his diabetes, does 5, sometimes 6 days a week, has no outlays because he lives at home with mum who does all his washing, shopping and cooking, has 23K in the bank and wouldn't help his mother out with his fathers funeral. Tony swears there was a mix-up when he was born, midnight on new years. They're a weird mob!

Aaahhh, that's off my chest, again. I get all worked up everytime they call or we visit with them. Tony has to take them to the cemetary tomorrow. He can do that while I'm at church and he can take the kids too, why not? It's a lovely place to run around, nice green lawns etc... Will give me a chance to have some peace at church.

No news, better go. Love to all,

Sara xxx

Sara 17.03.08

Hello all, sorry Bernice I haven't been on because I have been so damned lethargic since being on that epilepsy medication (since christmas) that I barely have the energy to walk let alone sit out here in the heat on the computer. I saw the Doc' on Friday and he asked if I'd had any 'side effects' from the pills. I told him "No, not unless 'extreme tiredness' is a side effect". He said it was so he has put me on something else, "A wonderful little drug it is" he says, "lovely, it wakes you up and makes you 'bright'". Bring it on I say.

The bruising from my fall is slowly subsiding but the flesh feels quite 'lumpy', it occured to me yesterday that it is "celulite"! Hmphh, no wonder Tony calls my legs "Big procuitto's".

Ok, I'll have to read Toni's post again to get the date set in my head but yes, we would love to go to Aunty Junes 80th. I look forward to it.

It is hot isn't it Belinda? Crikey, we had a gorgeous summer with lots of rain and below 25c temps but now the heat is kicking in, bugger!

Kids are still wild as ever. Mum's still here, i'll be putting her on a train tomorrow to go back to Gregs. It's been great having her to visit, Angelina has certainly loved the visit.

Stuff it, I've been out here since 11am, it's now 3pm and I'm roasting. Have only checked one email box. Please, if anyone emails me send it to the sara francescucci address, I'm trying to phase the others out. Thanks and ciao to all,

Love Sara xxx

Morning at Pilot Mound.

Good morning all. It is just 10am Friday here, and with this stupid daylight saving time, I have no idea what time it is in Australia! Will phone John on Monday to see how his check up went, and find out from him what our differences are now. Did everyone know that John is 'sitting Kinchella' ? I think I forgot to tell you, Kell.
There is a lovely slow, snow falling. Just started, and I am home by myself...Bill at the Complex...so I am going for a walk. There is a hockey game tonight and Bill will walk down to it. We are back to -10 this am. Have been above zero for a few days...plays havock with my snow! I have to go next door....my 86 yr. old neighbour's
dog, Ben, died 4 weeks ago. Jim has had a really terrible time with the loss and I am about the only person who fully understands. I was away to Morden yesterday and bought the new pup some toys and treats. I will take them over on my way walking.
Talked to Kell a day or so ago. They are heading to Kates for a couple of weeks, house, dog, cat and horse sitting. Home at the end of the month.
Anyway, no news. I just thought I would let you know that we are well, etc. Will think of you Lyn as I walk. Big, big, flakes...it must have warmed a degree or two !!
Love to all. Mona

Its hot now it's Autumn

Today I had lunch with friends at the national botanical gardens. It was hot 34c and sticky. Lots of these bearded dragon were around stealing food. It's a very popular place for with nice walks and cafe for lunch and coffee.

Not much to report on the girls are both out and then of to work ( 10.30 pm) and I am going to bed to read my new book on online business.

Hannah had a great time in Fiji I will get her to blog something on the weekend. The photo's are wonderful, so pretty and clear water they did a lot of snorkeling and you know digital camera's don't like swimming in salt water!!! needless to say they have to buy a new camera.

I am at home with the dogs running around madly and having fun. I will take Rocky on our walk out the road ( you know the one Kell ) he loves it as he can run wild and not many people are around. It's very dry and I hate that some times there are snakes, I am terrified of snakes.

Not much more to say. I will try and take some photos on our walk and post them for you Kell and Mo.
Missing you all would like to catch up soon with everyone, I am hoping to get to Junies 80Th but will have to wait until closer to the time. Who else is going? Maybe I need to do the Kell and Mona trip and that way I would see everyone.

How's Johno?

Back to Crookwell

Hi y'all, I haven't been on here at all lately as the daily routine changes and I just don't get the time.

Toni I don't know about Meg but Greg and Marcus have gone to Bourke and mum is still down here at my place so we won't be able to come for dinner. I would love to have been able to come and visit everyone but will have to wait 'till next time :o(

We are going to Crookwell tomorrow for the last time I hope. We are going to empty the container and do a few trips to the tip then load the trailor up with Tony's tool wardrobe and boxes of books etc and come home. I have to go out to Megs and take some pictures for her and mum's made an appointment with the hairdressers for 11am so we'll have to be up early. I'm going to ask my girlfriend if she'll mind the kids for the day for me as it's too big a day to bring them both along.

I think Greg took one of his horses to Bourke to be broken and may be bringing one of Whyties (Peter) back with him. Not real sure.

I fell over last night out here on the verandah. It was dark and I came out to get my mp3 off the charger and forgot about the two ornamental tables I'd left here. Of course it was very dark and I tripped on the tables and came crashing down. I yelled and seemed to go down in slow motion as I felt each bit of carpet burn and cut as it happened. Hokey was the only one who heard me go down and I heard him come out in the dark to see what had happened. He started to come toward me but I was sobbing (fed up with the disability and my limitations) so he turned on his heal and ran to get daddy. Tony came out and turned the light on then said "What happened? Did you fall?" That capped off an afternoon of disagreement so I replied "NO, I'm just lying down. Of course I f*&%#! fell!" He helped pull me up and put a bandage on the cut on the top part of my leg. I took Hokey to his bed, said prayers and then went to bed myself. Very sore today.

School is going ok for Giancarlo. He enjoys it when he's there but hates the getting organised to go there. We had him enrolled to play soccer but the club needed one more child for the team and hasn't been able to find one so we may have to take him elsewhere to play. Dissapointing.

Lin' I haven't seen any of the ornament lights for a long time and I fancy ours were tossed out when we could no longer get the bulbs for them. I'm sure the christmas shops would have them though. If I get time I will check at Crookwell tomorrow.

Angelina is enjoying having Nanny here. Mum chases her around the house and Ango loves it.

I have a dinner to go to tonight. One of the playgroup mums is going to the Middle East for 12 months or so, her husband is an architect and he is there on contract and last year was in Asia so Rose has decided rather than spending another 12 months apart she will go to be with him. Nice work if you can get it. Anyway, we're all going to an Italian joint at Campsie for dinner. Should be nice.

Anyway, no news so I will go and try to tidy up a bit. Hope all are well and happy. Take care,

Sara ...

Quick Hello and Mums 80th

Hi, its Toni lee just thought I'd jump on and say a quick hello. Alls well here were just sorting ourselves out with winter sports. Jarrod has decided to play soccer, Jake is playing rugby league (both of them are first timers in competition with these sports, they normally play AFL)so I could be an interesting season. Lauren has joined the cadets at RAAF Williamtown so that keeps her busy. She is also playing touch footy for Nelson bay her team is playing in the grand final this Wednesday, she also has made the hris team for school touch and has progressed to the aices trials , so much for the sleep ins on cold winter mornings.

On to Mums 80th she doesn't want a party so what we are going to do is have dinner at the bistro of our local club. It will be on Saturday night the 7th of June if anyone wants to come let me or Wendy know so I can reserve tables if necessary, don't know cost at this stage. You will need to organise your own accommodation.

Thanks Bernice for the help.

Anyway have a pile of ironing to do. Hope everyone is well.

Toni lee

Those what have bad internet signal!

I promise to write a longer post over the next few days. I have been at an essay writing course all day and my brain is mush. Why I hear you ask, well cause i am stupid. My friend Lucie was doing it as she is about to start her masters and thought she would con me. I didn't learn to much new stuff but I did learn how to write a better paragraph. So Lisa and Jane I would like a good book/text book on grammar and sentence structure, can you recommend one?

Paula and others who can not get on the blog for long, write your post out in word and then copy and paste on the blog in a new post. Its very quick and you just up load straight away.

Hannah is still in Fiji and will be back on Monday, Lauren is upstairs sleeping as she worked late at the airport and then at the night club so poor baby is tired.

Does any one know if any of Nan's Christmas decorations survived/ Of all the Aunts does any one have any screw in light that were shaped like Santa, trees etc?
I will load a picture of what I mean. Mum had them but they were thrown out when they didn't work and them were not available any more.
