More Hockeyville.

Good morning.1-30pm for me,6-30am tomorrow for most of you. I hope you are still asleep. Just have a few minutes, but need to bring my voters up to date.
Voting for this round is over. IF we make this draft, get in the last 5, THEN WE START AGAIN!!! I think that starts on 29 March, but will let you know if and when !
If we do get in the last 5,but dont win, we still get 20,000.00 dollars. The final winner gets $100,000.00 plus a few extras that we could use ! One of our ladies at church...87 years old....voted 500 times by phone. Not bad, eh?
My little girl is on HER chair beside me. She is so tired, but if I so much as blink, she is alert and barking!
It is a beautiful day, temp about-8 so far. If there isn't a wind we may BBQ for supper. I am trying to use up my extra Christmas fabric, making gift bags. Will take them west when we go in summer. Have to clean out some of my extra stuff, I am getting tired of moving it about and if I am not going to use it, out it goes. So that is todays project.
Lyn, when there is more time, I will Email you...questions,etc.
Good to hear from Hannah, and I hope she is enjoying Fiji. Jane, nice to get a note from you again. Is Stew still alive? Also Bob and Patricia? No one mentions them, I assume they dont have access to a computer at this time? The last I heard, Jessie had moved back home. The living arrangements didn't work out for her. Sarie, I haven't called John for a few weeks. He goes back for his check up on 11 March I think, so I will phone after that and get the report. What is Bernice up to ? We haven't heard from her for awhile. Where are you, Bernice? Miss you !
Must go. Love to all, and I will keep you posted on Hockeyville. We will be another 4 weeks till the final 5 are selected, then I dont know how the winner is picked, but if by votes, I will tell you ! Love to all. Mona

Waiting w8ing...

I'm in the process of ripping some cd's to xfer to my gigabeat, I'm doing it via Media Player because the Gigabeat room, for reasons unknown to me is not working properly. Speedwise they're much of a muchness.

I was in the bathroom earlier and was listening to Hokey in his room. He has a toy guitar and was strumming it, TWANG, TWANG TWANGGG and singing "5 Little Ducks". By the time I realised what he was singing he was down to 3. " TWANG, TWANG TWANGGG Free little ducks went out one day,TWANG, TWANG TWANGGG over the hill and far away, TWANG, TWANG TWANGGG Mother duck said QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK, TWANG, TWANG TWANGGG ... " and on it went. I had to laugh and thought "maybe there's hope for him yet" (Nonno wanted him to sing and play piano) but I reckon he'll be more like , who was it who was always smashing their guitar on stage? Well I reckon that'll be my boy.

Angelina plays the clown and even though she can't yet talk she does a good job of getting Giancarlo into trouble. It is 9:25pm and she's in on his bed rolling all over him, tormenting the billyo' out of him.

What else have they been up to? Hmmm, oh yeah, as I was getting out of the bath, earlier than 5 little ducks, Tony was cooking some seafood risotto and I heard him go off in the kitchen (Hokey is always up his clacker when he cooks) "PORCO MADOCCA MISERIA". I went into the kitchen to see what the issue was this time. As I went in Tony was saying after he'd sent Hoke's out "It's not your fault, it's your mothers", Seeing what had happened I waited 'till Giancarlo had left the room before cracking up laughing. While Tony had had his back turned and was tending to the stove Giancarlo had pulled a chair up to get a hold of what he wanted on top of the microwave and there it was, hundreds of thousands of hundreds of thousands not quite strewn across the benchtop. Tony wiped up what he could then announced "that's it, I'm going to bed" but he's still trying to settle them in there. I'm taking the night semi-off to rip my cd's.

When I walked to school this arvo' I saw the kindy classes lined up outside on the field playing their sport games. I recognised Hokeys teachers voice calling out instructing the kids so I stopped to watch. Hokey saw me and waved, as did most of the other kids, I was a generic mum I guess. The kids had to run across the field and round another teacher, like a bouye then back to their places. I watched them taken off then after about 15 kids ran round the teacher and were racing back to their posts one little girl took a fall on the turn then looked behind herself to see the rest of the mob take a stack over the top of her. It was hillarious, stacked just like the cyclists in the tour de' france, bang.. bang.. BANG.. One after another. I should've had the camera but I can say that for everyday of my life.

Anyway, tomorrow's another day and I have the whole lot over again so I'd best finish ripping these cd's so I can get to bed.

Bernice I will write, thanyou for the lovely card and the gorgeous photo's. Has Kenny been talking to Johnno? I've been trying to call him, all hours, for about a week now but the phone just keeps ringing out. I will have to get the pen out and write, I have been so slack at it.

Thankyou also Aunty Kell, again, I will write when I can get on top of things.

Do take care everyone, love to all,

Sara xxxxx

Hi All

Well what a start to the week with the dentist, I think I now have one of the most expensive teeth in the family! , God crowns need you to mortgage your house to pay the dentists bill!!!!!!!! It better be perfect from now on I tell you.

Hannah And Lauren are at the airport sending Han of to Fiji. While I stay home clean work and look after Laurens dog. Just another day really.

Well MO how did the voting go? Do we keep voting? I see that we now have 32 days to vote is that right?

I have been out walking the dog as well so she is warn out and I wish we had been walking in the snow. A little cross country would lift my spirits about now, although I think the dog would be lost in the snow and Sierra would be digging her out. Oh well keep dreaming you never know what you might get.

Love to all Belinda

Hello

Hi all,

This is my last night at home. In less than 24hrs I will be sunning myself by the pool in Fiji!

Have had a very big weekend of work finishing at around 4 am Friday and Saturday nights and then very busy during the day trying to get all my study done before I leave so am very much looking forward to having a nap on the plane tomorrow. Lauren is taking me to the airport in Sydney so she can then spend the night with Dad's sister and her family so that will be nice for her to have a little catch up.

Not much news to report here in Canberra, weather has been lovely and sunny - excellent for sitting outside in the sun with a book but have also had some much needed rain too. Mum seems to be keeping herself very busy! She's at home less than I am!

Virgin Australia will soon start flying Sydney to LA and are taking expressions of interest from current staff so Lauren is putting her name down for that. SO that will be fun.

Had better finish my packing. WIll post some pics when I get home.

Love to all,
Hannah

Passing the time

Good evening everyone. I'm just passing some time, like I have plenty to spare ... It's 10:27pm and everyone is in bed, I logged on to print a form for Tony and voted a few more times Aunt Mo'. I think if Belinda's efforts don't win you the spot then you probably don't have much hope.

Oh, Jane I keep meaning to mention of your family. You must be so proud of them all. What an amazing group of people (all smart and talented, no 'dudds' :o) and Stewert off to Japan? Crikey, sounds like an adventure. I guess you girls must be flat out up there huh? Talking to Jenny Whyte when we were out home last year she says Briony is also very diligent and passionate about her work "everything for the kids" Meagen said. So many teachers, the Paytons and Next Gen', the Laverty's, the Whytes. Nanna would be proud of them all, all the kids and next gen's I reckon.

Tony is out here now, better go find the 'piece of paper' he's looking for. Is it all men or just mine, if it's not right in their direct line of sight, uncovered and unobstructed they don't see it? At least I know Hokey is telling the truth when he says "but I looked everywhere, it's not here", he gets it from his father...

Sara.

Voting

Well Canada, Kraft, 2008 and hockeyville I will be voting in my sleep. I have been stuck at the compter for 2 days and I have been voting while I am working so I think I have given you a few hundred Mo hope it all helps.
I have even voted 3 time while writing this. Its a little slow so I can work in between votes.

Belinda

Hey I have just worked it out !!!
Hit the back page arrow then froward arrow top left corner with 1 second timing between and it goes straight back to the voting page very quick I have just hit it about 50 hits in 5 mins or less I have hockeyville on ctrl v for speed

Hockeyville

Just taking a few minutes betwen votes to pass on info. I can't always vote, have to go off the site for 3 or 4 minutes each time. This just started...Bill says I wore them out counting my votes yesterday!! But dont give up, just wait a bit and it goes through. A friend had a call yesterday to see how to vote...he lives in a French community (Sommerset, Kell) and wants to vote for us...'cant let those Frenchmen win!' I loved it.
Veeeerry cold to day. -36 this am , wind chill-45. I cant go out, cant leave the computer that long. Have our Chamber of Commerce AGM tonight. Supper meeting, The Princess is going to be unhappy, she will have to stay home alone for 2 or 3 hours.
Back to the voting. Talk later. Mona

February 20, 2008

Hockeyville

Good morning! THANK YOU for the votes....please keep them coming. I have been at the computer since 6-30am, have to stop now, Frank is here to clean the computer. It takes me about 2 min.s to cast a vote, by the time I change sites and get back, vote and start again. Took time out for breakfast. Bill has been on the phone doing his bit. We have a toll free number to call, he does about 20 calls, then stops for a bit and start again.
It is another cold day with a wind chill of -45. No rafters going up today. Bill has gone to the complex, may do rafters tomorrow.
This Saturday, at the Hockey Night in Canada the first of the second draft is announced, then each Sat. game after that, for 5 games. Then the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!
We are up against some tough competition. We will be given more challenges if we make the second draft, so more about that when it happens !!
Best go, one or two more votes then I have to quit till late afternoon when Frank will be done. Talk later, and THANKS!! Mona

Time does go on Aunt Mo'

Yes, time passes. The funeral went nicely. It was a tense week. Thankyou to all for condolences to Tony, they are appreciated.

Tony collected Giancarlo from school today and was furious when he came home. Hokeys knees were all scratched up and Tony said the teacher didn't say a word to him about what happened. He didn't ask because his frame of mind is not particularly tactful at the moment. I just thought "so he fell over, all kids do" but these days there are procedures to follow. so I called the school and spoke to the assistant principal (or is it 'le'?). She said an incident report was filled out and put in the first aid book. I told her of Tonys concerns and she told me "He's in the office every day Sara, with his bag and his hat. He wants to go home". She said they see him out the window and say "here comes Giancarlo". I stiffled a laugh because I could see the scenario in my head but it also choked me up. I molly coddle him a bit too much. I do agree with Tony though. His teacher hasn't taught Kindy before and he is not able to relate to the younger children. I will see the term through then meet with the staff to discuss how he's settling. Poor little bloke.

Angelina does her best to get her own way, as young'ns do. She does the funniest 'put-on' cry. I'll try to get her on film and send it in to funniest home videos. She's also second to go to sleep at night. She stays awake after Hokey has konked out.

Aunt Mo' I have voted once so far but will send the mail on to all my mates and ask them to vote also.

It's 10:30 and I had best get to bed. I wanted to Blog-on this afternoon but the pc desk was crawling with ants and they were all over me. Tony says they're everywhere up at the yard too. Those tiny little 'pissants' Meg calls them. I've sprayed everywhere but they keep coming back. They're all in bed now though.

Goodnight everyone xxx

Hockeyville

Well I have done my part I have voted about 20 times today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belinda

Pilot Mound & hockeyville

Good morning all. I need your help, and your vote!!! CBC is holding Hockeyville again, and we have entered....along with 11000 other communities. We had a get together last night to watch the first selections, and WE MADE THE FIRST DRAFT!!!!
We are in the TOP 10!!!!! Now we need votes to WIN. Winner gets $100,000:00, along with a national hockey team game in our Complex, and a few other things. (Do you remember in 06 when we were home we went through this? We didn't win that time.)
Anyway, will you all go to www.cbcsports.ca/hockeyville and vote for Pilot Mound?
You can vote as many times as you have time for, but have to go onto the site each time you vote. Cant just sit there and vote!! PLEASE, VOTE FOR US OFTEN!!!!
No news. I still have the Princess with us...left her at home while we went to church yesterday. She got even with us, went down and pooped on Bill's office floor.
So we took her to the gathering last night. I have a funeral this am and Bill is helping put up rafters at our new hotel building, so I dont know what I will come home to !!
Time goes on. I will go put coffee on, wake Bill to get ready...he should go at about 8am. I will vote again first, then come back and vote again.
Love to all. Mona

Hi

Hi Jane
It was so good to hear from you again. Tell Stewart to post something!!!!!!!

We are all well, and I have a friend staying here from Switzerland so things have been full on. The girls are busy like everyone, Hannah starts back at CIT (Tafe) tomorrow and love her course and is flying out to Fiji next week for a few days. Her boyfriend is in the US skiing and has been sick so missed the of trip to New York.
Lauren is having a ball at work and Kell I promise she does get herself up at 4- 4.30without me even knowing she has let the house.

I have not heard from Stewart since the reunion, can someone give me his phone number or email. Maybe I should go to Japan with him and get some kimono. I have collected them since I went here in 2002; the best place is the big markets they have at the temples.

Greetings from Murwillumbah

Good morning Canada, a special one to Auntie Mona, No it is not holidays I should be working but I just thought I would post a little blog to let everyone know how the family is. Dad had his second cataract done 2 weeks ago, doing fantastic (felt he was right to drive 2 days after it!!!!!!!!! Mum and dad are still saving the world. Stewart is getting ready to ski Japan. he goes in March very excited. He had to cancel his Bali trip as the girl who he was going with (yes I did say girl) her father got very sick. He wasn't perturbed because it meant more money for Japan. Lisa and Ron are great. My troops are wonderful Grace started High school and loves it. Sebastian began his final year and hates it. (no not really) He just wants it over. Uni hasn't gone back here not until the end of February Asha is the only one we have at uni this year and no-one at boarding school at the moment. Anthea is doing it tough out west, she keeps saying how hot it is and there is no rain out there the rest of Queensland is under water she says there is not a drop. She is having a wonderful time socially however, but I don't think she realised at first how tough first year out is and don't I know it,it is tough. She will be fine I know that she is and will be a fantastic teacher as she has a passion for it and she is extremely diligent.
School is as busy as ever it is as though we haven't been away from the place. Sara I was very sorry to read about Tony's father and my condolences go to you and your family. Love to all I had better get back to the books.
Jane xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Same again

Well once again there is no news. I had my girlfriends husband come to mow our lawn this morning (knocks Tony up too much, he's getting on...) and he did a great job. Now I have to get out there and setup the soccer goal that I bought for Hokeys birthday or christmas a year or so ago.

We went out to Roselands after Kris finished the lawn and I picked up a dress for the funeral, 7 bucks 50 on sale at Target. Well, I did want to get something I could wear over and over rather than something formal only to be pulled out for funerals, which I hope not to attend too many of either!

We managed to get a pair of sandals on Ango before we went out and she screamed merry hell over the issue but I said "tough, she has to get used to it" and so sandals she wore. Once we were out she forgot all about them and ran all over the place so I'll try shoes again tomorrow. My girlfriend will be looking after her while we go to the service. I was going to bring Hokey but will send him to school instead. He never really liked Nonno, can't blame him though, Nonno was always sick and never really spoke to him. Little people don't always understand...

I have scanned, enlarged and printed the passage I will be reading, even laminated it so Nonna can keep it afterward. She keeps everything... Tony has just taken our kids up to Nonna & Zio ('Uncle' in Italian) place. His kids are supposed to be meeting him there to see Nonna. Well, two of his kids, the eldest had a baby on Friday so she won't be there. It's all very messy in that family so I told Tony I would stay home so as not to create any more tension than there already is.

Meg stayed overnight at Kenny and Bernices. They had a houseful down there with other guests staying also. I don't know how they do it. Hokey came home wearing Dylans clothes and said he had a "great time" so I'm pleased about that. He was supposed to play soccer this morning but when we went to the park the team manager wasn't there, nor anyone else so we'll wait 'til the season starts in March.

That's it, I'm outa here before my head explodes (too much rubbish going on). Ciao all. Sara.

Markus Blog

The Markus blog is oi oi oi !

When you go into Moocultapaytons blog and you want a new post, it gives you a choice of OI OI OI or Payton Family. DON'T choose OI OI OI always go to Payton Family.
I will have to ask Alex to move it to stop the confusion.

Well Canberra is hot and Hannah is laying in the sun reading and I am about to have a nana nap as I am a bit of colour.

Talk to all soon

{and by the way Kell I will send you my buget! I have plans}

Here it is MO

Good morning all except Kelly, and good afternoon child ! My little cleaning girl just came, so I have time while she vacs, so here I am.
I am having a bad diabetic day, and as soon as the bed room is cleaned, I am going to lie down for half an hour. Have friends coming for supper, so cant spend too much time. I just did my veg., and got a chicken ready for the oven.....Bill had a meeting over lunch time so wasn't home.....man, you forget how much time lunch takes!! I got a mile of stuff done!!
Sarie, so sorry to hear about Tony's dad. I will get a card off to him when I go up town, but am baby sitting my Princess Rosie and the chemist doesn't love her like I do, so I cant take her shopping with me, hence no cards for a day or two. So long as he knows we are thinking of him, we all know how it hurts to lose your dad.
Our complex is almost at a stand still till the electrician gets the wireing done. Very frustrating for everyone. Bill.....the most patient of all people....is getting stressed about it. The plan was to open this fall, but as soon as the weather gets good, the farmers are on the land, and they are a big part of our volunteers.
The weather man promised me a blizzard today, but the sun is shining and there is hardly a breeze. The temp -26 with a -45 wind chill factor. Cant think what it would be like if it was windy !
If anyone is talking to Cec, I haven't been able to get her on the phone. So happy birthday child ! I hope it was a good one.
The Aust. weather on The Daily Telegraph site.....and what a sleezy site it is...said the Gov't had lifted the drought des. of out back. John said they had had some rain but he didn't say enough to declare the drought over. I just hope it is true.
Good to hear from you, Hannah. Now you know how to, maybe we will hear from you more often???? Does anyone know if Jessie and Melissa are still alive? Also Stew?
We do so look forward to hearing from the youngens.
Lyn, it is time you updated your site, too !! Bill is going to go get my little table loom from Crystal City one of these days, then I may have to have some help.
A note from Kell this am. She has posted my little slide reader thingy to me...bought it at Christmas time....Katie ordered it for me, I am not so talented as to be able to order over the net...so as soon as it gets here Frank and I are going to go through my slides, put the ones I want to keep on DVDs and discard the rest. Free up some space. Then Kell is going to start on hers. I have a couple of hundred, she has thousands !! DONT TELL FRANK !! He doesn't know yet !!
I am just rambling on, so best go. Lisa and Bernice, always good to get your news, do keep it up. I dont suppose we will hear from Jane again till holidays? We need to keep up to date with the childer! I am not going to try to spell check this...the last one I tried that with, I lost. Long page it was, too. So just read over the
errors. If I go back and read it over I will delete most of it.
Love to you all. And if I dont get back soon enough, have a very happy Easter !!
Mona, Moe, Han, Wom. Take your pick !!

No news

Hi all. There's no news here, I'm just logged on to pass the time while I eat a hot cross bun then have to try to get these wretched speakers working. Tony and I went to Roselands today to organise some photo's for his fathers service on Monday. We decided on a 10" x 16" canvas with a collage of 9 different pictures on it. The shop did me up a standard photo print with the 9 pictures on it. Looks nice enough so I will pick that up tomorrow after church.

Meg and Mum came down yesterday and were supposed to be going back today but Meg took Giancarlo for a drive to Kenny & Bernices this morning and she's just txt me now to ask if I minded if they stay there the night. I don't mind but Hokey is supposed to be playing soccer in the morning so I told her to call and ask Tony if it's ok.

That's it. I said there was no news. Take care,

Sara .

Lyn...my missing letter

Hi....I got mad that my letter was gone. Talked to Kell this am, and she said to check the Markus blog, her missing one turned up there. Sure thing, there it is, and I can only blame me, because I most likely opened the Markus blog, wrote then posted. The oi oi oi is just below the Paytons one, and WHO CHECKS!!! So read me on the Markus blog. Love to all. Me again.

My missing letter...Pilot Mound.

Lyn, HELP> Yesterday I wrote a note....longish...posted it, read it after I posted it, and it is no where to be found. Can you locate it and post it, or has it gone????
I will try again later, too. Mona

Roselands

Wow, Hannah certainly seems to have taken her mums fancy of studying and being busy, fair play to her (Irish for 'well done' or 'good on ya mate'). The trip to Fiji sounds lovely too, I wouldn't mind doing something like that one day. Can't see it happening but I wouldn't mind it.

Weather has been amazing too, lots of cool rainy days broken up by some hot, humid days. A great summer all told I reckon.

It's been a busy day here. Tony's father passed away last night and the dynamics of his family leave a lot to be desired. We will be busy for the next few days.

Giancarlo's first couple of days at school were ok but it seems with each passing day he is finding the seperation from Mummy harder and harder. I was at the school yesterday to take Ange to playgroup and arrived just as Hokeys class were being taken back to class after a toilet break and he spotted me and called out "Mummy, there's my Mummy". I went and hugged and kissed him and then he started to cry. I've been fine up until now but that broke my heart, I just wanted to hold him and not let go but of course I had to be strong and say something strong for him. I watched the class walk back to their room and one of the other little fellows walked beside Hokey and put his arm around his shoulder to comfort him. That was lovely.

Anyway, no news. I will email mums phone number to the all. Take care,

Hello from Hannah

Well Hello There!

I have finally added my cents to the blog! After many months of pestering from Mum!

All is well here in Canberra, quite warm but have also been getting a little rain which is excellent for dams, however, terrible for your hair!

Am back to study this week, have classes Wednesday for a couple of hours and then back to Monday to Thursday next week.

Have just got a new job! In addition to my Friday and Saturday night jobs (plus full time study - I am going to be very busy this year) I will be taking over managing all of the functions for our 3 venues (for those who don't know I'm the nasty girl on the door with the clipboard at a couple of clubs) and also working with an advertising agency (owned by same owners as the clubs) on their events as well. This means I will be working with the B/F so we'll see how that goes.

In other news Lauren has just got a job working for Virgin Blue @ Canberra airport as ground crew, so check in's, boarding etc. She is really enjoying it - doesn't even mind the early starts, she has to get up at 4 am some days! So I am looking forward to her probation period finishing (2 months to go) so we can enjoy ridiculously cheap flights!

For those of you who know (or know of) my boyfriend Sam he is in Wyoming @ Jackson Hole to do some Heli skiing with his brother for three weeks and then we are meeting in Fiji on the 28th of this month so am really looking forward to that! We are staying at a lovely resort on a small island 20 minutes from the mainland.

It's getting late so I had better go.

Take care, Hannah

Mum's moved.

We drove to Crookwell yesterday to take mum down and sort 'stuff'. I think we left here 0845. After fuelling up and attatching the trailor we probably hit the road about 9'ish. Arrived down there 1115 I think. Tony loaded the trailor up with 'stuff' of our own (mum already had her gear all packed up). Greg arrived about 1430 I think it was, Marcus was with him. Mum went with them to load up her gear. They also had to go to the farm. We finished at about 3 and were out of the by 3:15. We arrived home at about 6:15 and Tony unloaded straight away. Greg phoned about 9pm and they were just leaving Crookwell. He phoned this morning to say they arrived back at his place at 3 this morning. So mum has moved. Greg doesn't have a land line but mum will probably get it put on. I'm just glad she's in a better climate and with family.

Lisa, good to here Uncle Steve's op' went well. I understand how he must be feeling about not working. Mum drives me nuts if she is in a situation where she can't work. She gets so frustrated herself. We had a wine chatting over Aunty Wynn while mum was here. It must be sad, especially for you because you were so close to her and seeing her as often as you did...

No news other than mums move. Have to go, baby is calling for me.

Grafton Greetings

Hello all,
Just a quick note as I have lots of school work to do, but am stalling. Need a little break as I only just got home! Work started back last week and as Jane said - you hit the floor running! Was only back at school for 4 days and then I had to take 11 and 12 drama students to Sydney for excursion, just over night and a mad rush.Still trying to catch up.
Now that I am back at work, am really feeling the sadness and missing Aunty Wyn. I drive past the nursing home every morning and often I would just wave. Not having her here really hurts. I am at school and think, oh, must tell Aunty Wyn that one, then I remember. Time will heal the hurt, but not the loss.
Dad had a second successful cateract operation today and all went very well. Just spoke to him and he is in high spirits. He is pleased as he managed to mow the back lawn yesterday! Now he can not work for a week - and that really frustrates dad.
We have all had such incredible rain this last few weeks. Minor flooding around here almost daily. It pours, then stops for 1/2 day, water goes down, then the rain starts again. At least we have not had a hot summer for once. humidity is still high though, and that can really drain you.
Stewart was meant to come down this weekend and we were going camping, but that has to be postponed until the weather fines up.
Am just waffling now, I better get back to work,
love you all,
cheers,
Lisa

*****y Technology!

This post was typed about the 6th but I got tied up in system problems and lost it.

I have just spent the better part of two days trying to sort out options on my pc. I'd lost my sound at some point over the past week or so and whilest trying to fix that I managed to delete a couple of drivers for my modem so had to uninstall and reinstall that. Then I had problems trying to get connected again, Telstra couldn't help me and had given me the contact number of a third party who should be able to help at a fee of $59. If nothing they suggested or offered could fix it then it was "no charge". I had to book in for a call back, soonest tomorrow. I booked it but after collecting Giancarlo from school I decided to do one more system restore and lo, I fixed the problem. Still haven't fixed my sound but the mic' is working and I've installed a web-cam now just have to wait until someone is online and available at the same time as I am and I can talk.

Polar bears

G'day all.
I am FULLY caught up with e-mails! One bebefit of cold weather----can't get my 'giddy-ups" on,so HAD to do something, & not waste ALL my time. Sara, in case Mo doesn't log on, the polar bears are ornaments, just out for Christmas probably!! They
would have been put back in their boxes, & stored in Bills' work shed likely.
Glad things are happening in Toms' life. I'll ring while she is there Sara. I can't imagine how Lin did that laser (or ???) light weaving!! Fascinating. Too much talent for one person!! Angelina is just as lovely as always Sara. Nice to have a wee girl around
to keep you busy!! No news, so I'll be off, to work on dinner. ( Was VERY cold this week for meals-on-wheels. I have 2 weeks off now, by then it should be a lot milder.) Another avalanche death. 23 year old father of 2. That is 13 for Alberta this year. Several in Montana, 26 altogether for the winter so far. They WILL ignore the warnings, & there are always warnings posted when there is any sort of threat. Very sad for the families. love to all. Kell

Just a quickie, again!

It's 1:12pm Monday. Mum has another load in the machine. She arrived yesterday; Told me Saturday that she'd call when leaving Crookwell so when the phone rang 7:30 Sunday morning I assumed I'd have time to go to church then out to meet her at Campbeltown but she was already at Pheasents Nest so I got the kids dressed quickly and got Tony out of bed to go and meet her at Campbeltown. She was stressed because it had been raining quite heavy while she was driving and the traffic was very heavy too but she made it ok and naturally my place is in order now...

Slept in this morning 'till 8:30 and had to leap out of bed (can you see that? Naahh, me either) to get Hokey dressed and fed before school. Thankfully he wanted a butter and sauce sandwich for breaky so I didn't have to fight him to eat Weeties in a rush. Tony took him to school and I'll pick him up in a hour and a half. Have to go to the deli to get some ravioli and tortellini for him before I collect him from school. Madam is asleep.

The Whyte girls added me as a contact to their 'facebook' profiles although I do feel a bit, umm, aged after having read some of their pages. We all grow old but I don't have to like it! I'm hoping to lose at least 5kg in the next 4 weeks [think I already said something about that in a previous entrey??] so am trying to do some form of cardio for at least 5 minutes a day. That's not much I know but my foot goes more bungy when I workout so by five minutes it is rolling over and flying out from underneath me and it agrovates the hell out of me so 5 min's is enough.

Ok, it's 1:30 so I'm outa here to finish the shopping. Love to all,

Sara xxxxx

OHhhhhh I have a HEADache!

I'm sitting here trying to reason with Tony NOT to make a nesting box for the quarrions. I don't think they'd breed anyway, too much noise and fuss going on around this place.

It's 4:45pm and if it weren't such a mild day it would be too hot for me to sit here and type at this time but my head is still 'tight'. I think I must be breathing to shallow as I find I often do when at the computer. Aunty Kell, I cannot imagine such cold as you have over there. Heartbreaking about the babies dieing in the cold; terrible. Aunt' Mona, I didn't know you had polar bears where you are, aren't they usually further North? Lin, the pictures you posted, is that your looming? It's beautiful.

Yes, like Bernice said earlier, Meg loves her job because she gets to see people at their own level but the pay is crap. I hope she can find something better.

Mum's coming up here tomorrow until Friday when we'll take her home and Greg's going down there then too to load her up and move her to his place. I'm so happy she's going to Gregs and hope she settles in nicely. She actually likes it up there which is totally unlike mum as Greg's so close to the beach. She likes how it can pour down rain but she can go outside afterwards and the ground won't be slushy as it's all sand.

I could hear a beautiful melodic chanting in the background here and had to pause to listen where it was coming from but then the "Star Trek" theme kicked in and I knew it was our place. Tony enjoys that sort of show.

Well I'd best go, children to wash ... Hokey's already asleep, he'll wake then be up all night now!

Love to all,
Sara xxxxx

Pilot Mound

Good morning all. Like Kell I am just checking to see that I can get on still, and I see I can! Dont have a lot of time, I have to get out to Bill's shop and pack our big polar bears in thier boxes so he can put them away tonight. Just put a chicken in the oven for supper. Bill is funny. He expects to have food ready when he gets home. Doesn't always get it, but expects it !!
I see we are getting a little snow flurry. Was promised a blizzard on Monday....all we got was really cold and windy. Wind chill -50. That's cold!
Went for my routine blood work this am, so am going to treat myself to a few little musks! Oh and THANK YOU LISA !!! I only let myself have one or two, but I often just smell them. Keeps me going.
Bill is still working down at our sports complex. Keeps him busy. They hope to have ice in before winter is over so the push is on. I'm doing as little as I can get away with. Have to supply food for the complex every now and again. Most days they have about a dozen workers in. All volunteers. They have a great time together.
Bought a rose in our Memorial Rose Garden for Wyn. Ordered a pink one, I dont see her as a red rose person. I will try to get it put beside Mum or one of the family...Have roses for them all, along with my Aussie Two and little Lacey. Gives me somewhere to go and talk to them !!
Best go. Now to work out how to post this !! This page is a bit different to the last one. If it goes, it goes. If not, you wont know anyway!! Love to all. Moe.
OK. I see a Publish Post. Lyn did say to do something else first. Cant remember. Let me know Lyn.!!

P. Creek checking in.

G'day all,
No news, I just wanted to try the new log ons, & had trouble for about 12 tries. Lin was handy for quick check ups, but it still refused to accept, till just now. Weather more acceptable here, Lin said 24 in Canberra. I will take it, thank you! Peter NOT
having a good day, which means I'm not having a good day!! He HATES me to be at the computer, just like he HATES me to play bridge!! Now, on the rare occasion I play bridge, I always lie, with some silly reason for going out, & for being late coming home. Somehow that is O. K. Two babies frozen to death in Saskatchewan yesterday. Father, thought to be drunk, took them out half naked. EXTREMELY cold temps. He left them, was half frozen himself. By the time he mentioned the babies, it was too late---they had been out for 10 hours or so. Very sad. A 20 year old was frozen to death about 20 miles from here. Car stopped, and he did what one must NEVER do. He left the car to walk. Was only 800 meters from a house, but couldn't make it. Every year we have several deaths.
I hope school is going O.K for the teachers!! Poor Ronnie, I can empathize with him. When I started back at the Gym I did the usual stuff, though I hadn't been since a week or so before I left for home. My body was NOT pleased, & I had to be real friendly with it, to get it to go again the next day, & subsequent days!!
Glad to hear Hokey had a good day at school Sara. One has to feel a bit anxious when they first go, but apparently that was not necessary!! No news, gotta go, this is driving him wild!! I should have waited till he was in bed, which is 7.00pm, or shortly after. I
am nearly caught up with my e-mails, so the cold weather has had at least one benefit for me. If the weather was decent, I could NOT spend this much at the computer.
Love to all. Kell

Quick check in

What a week! I have been working and going in to uni to use the computerized loom as much as possible as I have access this week. So of course I want to make the best of it. It haves been very hot in Canberra like the rest of Aus I am sure, but we don't have aircon and the workshop runs over 3 floors and I am working on the top 2. The top has glass and sky lights, dumb really as at 10am it is always about 35 degrees and stuffy.
On a brighter note 2 other artist and I received an artists grant to do this project so I am weaving monofilament (fishing line) and flurecent light.
So I want to get in as much time there as possible. So will write over the week end. Lauren started her new job this week with Virgin Airlines so if anyone is flighting through Canberra check out the check in chicks!!!!!! She is then hoping to move to Sydney and become an air hosty as we call them.

Love to All Belinda
