Monas' Christmas Cheer

This is Mona's Christmas cheer (Christmas parcels for the needy) Mona will post the information about the photo's when she returns home. Every thing you see on and under the tables was donated by people in our and the surrounding communities.

Everyone is well over here and having fun. Today was very warm and the snow started to melt and all the roads were slush.

Love Belinda and all the family.

Scone recipe

Does any one have Auntie Junes secret family recipe for scones. It has flour cream and water. we need the quantities so I can make them for Doug.
Thanks Belinda

Merry Christmas from Montana

Doug fixing the deer at 8am
Dough and the offense deer!

After 3 inches of snow
Before extra snow

Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday and its Christmas morning here. We have had about 3inches of snow over night and its just beautiful.
Katie has been up for hours and has a a wonderful breakfast all in the over and that follows the roast duck dinner we had before church last night (Christmas eve). So i guess I will be a few kgs heavier when I leave here.
Doug has been out working on our team of hockey playing deer this morning and has fixed a few lights for us as we needed more cords etc. Will add a few video and photos later.

Santa has been and looks like he was very busy. Kell, Katie, Drew and I went out yesterday and cut the tree, the kids decorated it while Kell and I went to Cosco. Cosco is this amazing supermarket that is more like a warehouse I took photos and will put a few up at a later date.

Well Champagne is calling so will add through the day.
Travel safe everyone.
Love and a merry white Christmas Belinda xx

Yo Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to yoo's all :o)

Hello all, it's nigh on 7pm christmas day and we're pretty much done for the day. Hokey had us up about 7'ish but Ange fell asleep again (she's feeling a bit crook). Pressie's started about 9'ish and soon it was all done so we went back to bed while the kids played Play station and Nintendo DS.

Went to the beach with Meg and kids this arv'. Hokey went straight in this time, loved it. Ange was a much different story, she screamed and carried on until after about an hour we came home and she's slept since. Crook.

Sorry I haven't ben on Aunty's, I try to logon as much as I can but it's difficult. I have to go now b/c it's taken me so long to type this little bit on the laptop. I will do btter when we go home.

Merry Christmas to you all,

Love Sara and Co

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL FROM ANNA BAY

Well after all the hype and hoola its finally here and just about over. I made it home yesterday afternoon after work, thought the F3 would be hell but it was free flowing and I made it in the usual time. Greg had taken Marcus and 2 of Marcus's mates to Kahrua so they could ride their motorbikes while he rode the horses. All had a great time and Marcus was busy washing the mud off his motorbike when I got home.

Sarie and co here, the little ones have colds and the green runny nose thing happening but are otherwise well and supporting new haircuts. Bloody cat came with them as well. Im not too partial to the felines and this one is pretty when its curled up asleep but drives you made when its awake and bounces onto every available surface. Has the most vivid blue eyes Ive ever seen on a cat. I was rather eager to get to bed and didnt want to have to wait up to do the santa bit so I hit the sack early. I left it to the boys to drag the gifts out of Gregs room once the little ones went to bed. Yes I was up with the birds and eager to unwrap but no it wasnt to be. The rest of the bodies didnt surface until about 8am. Garry arrived and we cooked up bacon and eggs for all. Once fed and watered the tree was raided and all were thrilled with Santa's surprises.

Tully girls I know you are at the Lowes this morning and I will talk to you after lunch but thank you so much for the Pandora Bracelet. I just love it and it will be treasured always. I love it.

Lyn I know you are probably snowed in and the house will smell of all those exotic christmas food smells. I wish I was there too to be part of it. But I am there in spirit and send my love to each and everyone of you. Have a lovely day and please lots of photos ok.

We are having prawns mud crabs oysters ham and chicken and salad. Coles christmas cake and white christmas and Big Sister pudding.

Last year I fussed and made the cake etc but this time I was just too busy with working away at Toronto and have also started at the Nelson Bay community hospital as well as seeing clients for the hunter nursing agency as they dont have a RN up this way to manage their clients. Im only going to do it for a short while until someone else can come on board. I have to teach clients to mix up and self inject a drug to treat their rheumatoid arthritis, monitor and heaps of documentation for the drug company that makes the Enbrel. Imagine my surprise when one of the clients turns out to be Aunty Cook's Danny's first cousins partner. And they live right next door to where Greg use to agist his horses. Anyway I seem to be chasing my tail at all times.

My big boy is here and its great to have him about. Hasn't changed, still my big boy. Cant brag about my childrens academic achievements because there have been none. Marcus failed most subjects, too busy with the social scene to worry about the books. Jacob did well and passed all of his subjects.

Miss Kelly well done on your achievements at school we are all very proud of you. The school dedicated their year book to Liz which was a lovely gesture.

MerryChristmas from the Pilot Mound gang.

Good morning all. And a very Merry Christmas. Bill is sleeping...wish it was me! I am just getting ready to leave this afternoon after church. Got a batch of Kell's shortbread made last night, but ran out of energy, so made the dough for the next lot.......thought of you, Sarie......and have to cook it this am. Will get the car clean when Bill surfaces, pack, get the house tidy enough to leave and I AM READY!! I talked to Cec and Tom yesterday. Couldn't get Junie, but will try again today. When we get home I will get on here and have a yarn. I have some photos of my Christmas Cheer that I will put on too, so you can see why I haven't been about for awhile.
To those of you going to the wedding, please do the photo thing for us ! CD's are best, we can both play them, if DVD's, we share the player. We will be thinking of you. Bill and I will have to race to get home in time to phone John before hand....we leave on the 1st. .....not much traffic, get home on 2 nd, already the 3rd at home, so will have to phone right away.
Must go. Do have a great day. Love to you all. MERRY CHRISTMAS. Mona

Kell's Missing Post

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you too!!!

Dear Family,
You gotta love winter. Yesireee. Its JUST -29 here at the moment. (O. K. Mona Ann, get your butt over here & see how much you like it.) If I see one more snow flake, I'm heading south. WAY south. No news really, same old, same old.
You know how it is, mop the floor, change the bed. Thorough clean in the toilet. Oh. & mop the floor. Do mega wash, & in case I didn't mention, mop the floor. I'm sure you are getting the message.
We have had a very unusual December. Mo can have this sort of weather, (she deserves it), but in sunny Alberta, we are not used to it.Lin arrived, safe but late. "They" cancelled her first flight, so she had a sleep over in San Fran.,or Denver, I've forgotten which. I think Kate has kept her busy since her arrival. They head up to British Columbia tomorrow, for Drews' hockey. First in Cranbrook I think, then on Sunday, over to Creston. A LONG drive from Whitefish.
Doug is somewhere in Montana with Dan, for his hockey. I'm hoping these are the last games for this year. They usually have a "family team"contest over Christmas, so I'm assuming ditto for this year.
Today is 19th, so too late to get any more Christmas cards in the mail. If you have not received one, then "this is it". I still have to ring quite a few, but with the time difference, by the time I can ring over there, (2.00pm here) I'm usually involved with something else here. Bit of a nuisance, but not much I can do. It is only like this at Christmas. We have tons of snow, with more coming most days. Traveling is not recommended most days. I had hoped to get up to Calgary tomorrow with Deda & Ivancic presents. However, I think they will be "new year" gifts now, as I am running out of time, & the forecast is more of the same. We are planning on leaving for whitefish on 23rd., but will all depend on conditions at the time.
I sent Jett Myers the info to get on the blog, & have been waiting patiently to see his entry. Sofar, no word, so if you are logging on Jett, PLEASE post a blog with information on family & life in London. It would be great to hear from you.
I know I am very remiss, but I DO love to log on first thing in the am. Most days I'm disappointed, but when there is a new post, I'm "fed" for the rest of the day. It is always a stimulant, & also a source of news.I'm wondering how everyone is surviving the economic turmoil? I know it has been very hard on our retirement fund. Hope the rest of you are faring better. I have warned everyone, that come the new year, I will curtail every expense excepting the absolute necessities. I have not even glanced at our investment portfolio, & I don't intend to look at it till things pick up. I don't want to know how bad it is.We have a funeral tomorrow for one of our church members. She was ONLY 96. A very dear soul, & very active till the last few days before hospitalization. She will be missed, as she was STILL doing a weekly column for our local newspaper. I got our church baskets done yesterday.
Each Christmas we do "goodie" baskets for the sick & immobile of our church. It was a h--- of a cold day, & my helpers didn't show up. I only had 16,so it wasn't a big deal, & the vestry decided that Peter should get one too. He was a happy camper. A big party tomorrow night, but it is 25 miles out in mountainous country, & the forecast is for COLD, (surprise) so I rang today & said I just couldn't make it. Too old for the driving conditions, so will be warm & cosy at home instead. As usual, I'm just prattling, so will sign off. I wish you one & all, a Blessed Christmas, & good health & happiness in 2009. Love to all. Kell

December 14, 2008

Sorry Lin but I couldn't resist. I did say I came back a few times to really appreciate it and I did say how nice the decca's are. It's nice to be able to have nice things and to be able to enjoy them, I haven't a hope in this house... I have been thinking you must already be in Canada, weather forcasts say our xmas is going to be a particularly hot one, great! I've been thoroughly enjoying our changing weather but as usual every other Sydneysider is complaining about it, it's either too hot, too wet or too cold for them.

Angelina's out the back calling to Daddy up the driveway, he's finishing an installation. Hokey's just cut through to go out front and now Marc's dog has barked, sounds like she's out of his bedroom. He probably opened his door so she could comwe out and pee. I have stopped wiping up after the dog and Tony has just about had enough of cleaning up after it too.

Missed church today, didn't get to sleep until around 3am'ish, not by choice. We have been trying to get a lot of rubbish sorted out before christmas and time's running short.

No news, last week of school and we'll go to Greg's sometime after next weekend I suppose. Mum's undecided whether to go to Aunty Cooks now or after christmas.

Baby's crying, gotta go,

Sara xxx

Cant talk now have run out of time. In case I have missed anyone a healthy happy christmas too you all and to all a great new year. Photos of the boys in the hills. Marcus had a week off school to muster cattle at Moonan Flats. Took a mate with him who had not experienced "bush life" of any kind and had not been away from his mum. 16yrs old. HE grew up and loved evey minute of it. Will tell more and have a few more photos next time. Lyn u have fun and give our love to all os please. C you in the new year. I have a work christmas dinner to go to tonight work mornings over the weekend a day shift at Nelson Bay Polyclinic on Monday, have been recruited by Hunter Nursing Agency to do supervision education and monitoring of a couple of their clients who will commence on a new drug for rheumatoid artheritis. Its a pilot program and the drug company wants lots of documentation of course. Why oh why do I do this to myself. My big boy arrived home yesterday, thanks sarie for picking him up for me. Of course the boys have had a spat already.
Pouring rain here wish it would blow to buggery or to Bourke for a few days. Love to all
Meg

Chrsitmas greetings

Hi all,
Lisa here, just a quick hello before work.
Sara, that foot sure does look nasty, ouch!
Belinda, I can email all except Toni's address, but I do not have your email address to give them to you! Have a great and safe trip, am sure you will have a blast.
Only one week of school left before holidays, yeah! Today is the last day of classes, next week we have End Of Year Activities. We teach for half a day. Ronny and I are on in the mornings. I am teaching How to make and edit a short Film, and Ronny is teaching Beginner Guitar. Should be an easy week.
Mum and Dad are coming down to visit for a few days next week. Mum and I will go shopping for a Christmas present for her - it usually is clothes. Always fun when they come and stay.
Last weekend Ronny and I attended an African Drumming and dance workshop. It was great fun. I loved the djembe drumming, but was not fussed on the dance. Ronny surprised me by getting right into the dance. He was a bit sore on Monday though!
Really looking forward to Christmas. Will be an "extra fun" Christmas with Kenny and Bernice! I can hear the laughs now.
oops, time flys, better rush off to work,
Love Lisa

Ho Ho Ho Sara !!!

Well Miss Sara I love my tree. Yes it is weird I know, but I have wanted one for years and it is a reproduction of an antique with feathers wound along each limb. It is designed to show of your decorations and seems I have a huge collection of them what can I say.
Can someone email me some postal addresses please?
Mandy Linehan
Ces and Ray
Lisa, Jane and Stewart
Toni Lee

Only a few day to go and I am off! Of course I am not ready so much to do, so I must get busy. I promise to post lots from the other side of the world!
Merry Christmas

Two nights in a row!

Lin I hate to be rude but I hope you didn't pay for ectra luggage to bring your tree home. I could've gone out back and grabbed one just like it on the Dubbo Road, I think you were cut short... Sorry Lin, I couldn't resist. I saw your post after I'd lodged mine last night and had to come back and look at the pic a few times to really appreciate it. The decca's are gorgeous though, wouldn't last long in this house. I see Hokey has already just about stripped the tree and the spiral ornaments have been turned into 'Rockets' on the lounge room floor, good thing they're cheapies...

Mum's gone home :o(. Angelina screamed when I dropped her off at the bus stop on Eddy Ave outside Central Station. There's no parking so I leave home with just enough time to get there and jump out for a hug before having to jump back in again and drive off ('jump' being the opperative word here). Did that make sense? I don't know but Ango screamed "BENNY, BENNYYYY". Poor little possum, she's loved having Benny here. Benny's enjoyed being here with them also but I'm sure she's glad to go home too, she is now preparing to unpack and repack to go up to see Aunty Cook. Hope I can still get about like her at her age...

Wish I had Hannah's cooking prowess, I like my cooking but NO-ONE else will eat it. Kids I understand but trying to cook for a bloke who doesn't like vege's is not easy. I made Lebanese stuffed zuchinni's. I enjoyed them.

It is late and the kids are still awake so I have to rush off. Been doing 'work' on Tony's pc all day and my head is done in with it.

Love to all,
Sara xxxxx

Merry Christmas Oh All Yee Faithful

Hokey the other day

Ango' the same day

The busted foot!

Ditto ditto, yadah yadah yadah. I am a very festive person, not! Have children now so have to make the effort. I do remember how exciting it used to be though. I think it was late November and I'd be harassing mum to let me put the tree up. I used to be meticulous with it too and the other three used to get me to wrap their gifts for each other because I did it so damned brilliantly (I guessed) so they all had lovely looking pressie's under the tree and I could tell which were mine because they were the plain looking ones. Didn't matter, the tree looked beautiful and the old lights that had to be strategically placed so as not to melt the tree when they were on, shining on the tinsel which glistened in the 'breeze' of the old BreezeAir in the window. Hmph, that old tree had quite a few 'fused' bristles on it but the nativity set, curtesy of Aunt Mo' I think, in the old redundant fireplace playing Silent Night made the whole thing so magical. Sitting back with a blottle of Splashe and a Mintie, what more could a kid (of the time...) want?

Lin I loved the Email posting. I too have to unblock my mailbox every time I log in which isn't very often these days but I do enjoy some of the chain ones, like that one that bring a smile to me but the tear jerkers I just delete because I don't like to think of any child in any of those circumstances even though the emails are all bull**** anyway. If I forward them I try to delete the 'forward to' crap at the end and only send them to ppl I think will enjoy them and yes, I did have my finger on the mouse. That one made me smile, will have to copy/paste it on to my 'Mates' list :o)

Yes, thank you Jane. No the 'accident' didn't keep me off my foot at all which is probably why it still hurts quite a bit but the Hiradoid, no not hemorhoid cream that Meg told me to apply has really got rid of the bruising but not the pain. Now I have nothing to show Meg when she comes to collect Jacob on Thursday except the big bulge out the side of my ankle!
Aunt Mo', I can actually hear you saying "Good morning all" as if you were right next to me. Wish I were Lin coming over there. Tony was only saying the other day how he'd like to see another 'white christmas'.

I'm in the process of printing off some newspaper clippings, classes of BHS 1948 4 &5B and 5 & 6A for Mum to send to Mark. HP Photosmart is not being so smart right now, couldn't be me... No, it isn't me, didn't think so. Printing directly from the folder is working fine.

I can hear Suki (my Siamese) meowing out the side, she's coming in to season and has been hanging out with 'Roger the Lodger' as he's known, 2 doors up. I'd best get her inside before she gets up the duff!
Mum was just saying how she hasn't bought any christmas presents and doesn't want any, "some noodles maybe, ... or a zuchini, couple of mushrooms..." She has the vege's in her noodles. Still manages to crack me up.
Better get to bed, night all, S xxx

December 04, 2008

Merry Christmas everyone,
Just to get everyone in the festive mood. This is my feather tree I purchased in Montana last year. I have always wanted one and now have it. The decorations are antique from the 1940's and 50's. The shaped one's are light globes that I also collect.

Sit back and have a ead! It must be all true as it came to me in an email!!!

Dear my friends
As we move closer to the end of another year I wanted to thank you for all the e-mails you have forwarded to me over the past year.

I must send a big thank you to whoever sent me the one about rat shit in the glue on envelopes, because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.
Also, I now have to wipe the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it all to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.
But that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates and Microsoft are sending me for participating in their special email programs.
Or from the senior bank clerk in Nigeria who wants me to split seven million dollars with me for pretending to be a long lost relative of a customer who died intestate.

And I need no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.
I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward emails to seven friends and make a wish within five minutes.

I no longer drink Coca-Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer can buy petrol without taking a friend along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer go to shopping centres because someone will drug me with a food sample and rob me.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number and then I'll get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan .

I can't even pick up the five bucks I found dropped in the car park because it was probably put there by a crazed axe murderer waiting under my car to grab my leg.

If you don't send this email to at least 144,000 people in the next 10 minutes, a large pelican with an acute case of diarrhoea will sit on your head and fleas from 12 camels will infest your back .

I know this because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbour's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's plumber - and it was on Good Morning Australia.

By the way...... did you know that a South American scientist has, after a lengthy study, discovered that people with low IQs who don't have enough sex, always read their emails while holding the mouse.

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late...

This made me laught as I get 100's of emails every day at work with this Stuff it takes me a good 10mins to just delete it all.

This week has been a busy week with end of year stuff and today I have hit the wall. so best cancel tonight gig and go to the gym and then home for a nice dinner of veggies.
Hannah has moved out to a very nice town house with her partner Sam, Lauren and I went for dinner last night, Hannah is a great cook so we had a lovely dinner and sat out on the balcony fro drinks first.

Big weekend of planning shopping and packing before I head off in a week.

Love to all Belinda
