As the title says, I'm not sure of todays date. Each day is just like the last and next. Most times I'm not sure even of the day!
Tony has been up and so much better since he worked out what's been progressively making him sick over the past couple of years. His medication. I probably mentioned that in my last post but as with dates and days...
Spoke with Ma a couple of days ago. She is getting weaker as days go by. I'm going to try to bring my 'granny scooter' up to her at Easter so she can get to and from town by herself. She's told me "No, I wouldn't use it" but perhaps if she has a go at it she may change her mind. I'm hoping anyway.
Tony has been doing the morning school run for me over the past week or so and it has been bliss, I'm loving not having to scream and rush so early in the day.
Saw on the morning show on tv this morn' how studies have shown that homework does not improve a child ability to learn and retain information until around yrs 11 and 12. I wish they would apply this in school because it's such a bloody effort to get Giancarlo to do his. Angelina is no problem, she even asks to do her homework some afternoons. Going to be a smart one that kid. I hope...
Have cut back on my 'runs' and am only running 3km twice a week now. I was getting too worn out, pushing myself to 6, 9 and 10 kms some days. I crank the music up on the stereo and that gets me in the 'zone' and I just keep running. I thoroughly enjoyed it but was starting to tire too much.
Giancarlo hasn't been on the eliptical machine since before christmas and the poor little bloke has stacked on the weight. I told him on Monday that unless he runs every day then he won't be getting his Playstation back. That got him running Monday morning but he didn't run yesterday so I'll get him on it again today. Mind you, when I collect them from school in the afternoons I kick him out of the car two blocks down the road and make him run home. It's an uphill slog but he does it okay. I drive alongside him.
It's 10:06am and I'm still on the bed in my jammies but will have to get up and dress so I can start the days chores. In a minute...
We were going to go to the easter show this year but have decided against it after I questioned Telstra about our last phone bill. It was so bloody huge because Giancarlo had been on Tony's phone downloading games from the internet and ran up $441 in data charges. I nearly hit the roof and explained to him that he hasn't a hope in hell of getting to the show after that little performance which was done after he'd already been blasted for doing the same in January.
That business with the sign-in to the blog has been happening to me for months, probably 12 but I'm not sure of the old password. Yes Lin, it might've been 'charlotte' or 'Baker' or the like. I will have to hunt through old emails to check.
Ok, that's it for me, I'm outa here to change sheets, shop etc. Bugger ironing Aunt Mo', haven't done that rubbish in too many years to remember. Ha, you know you're getting old when you start to remember in decades :o/

verifing the blog email

I will verify the blog account if someone can email me the very first password we had so I can access the email account. i have new used the original email account that was set up so we could have a blog. I don't know why Beryl Deda is on top right hand corner but will change as soon as I get into the email account. I think it was Nana Payton's name or something like that. does anyone remember what it was?

Happy Birthday Aunty Mona
Hi All,
Just a quick note to wish Aunty Mona a big Happy Birthday. It is only Tuesday, but I guess we can have a drink in your honour tonight!
Was thinking of Aunty Cook last night on her 80th. Hope all was well.
All fine here. Ronny and I are eagerly awaiting Easter as we go to the Blues Festival in Byron Bay. Greg is coming too and it is always a blast. It will be neat to see him.
I caught up with Marcus a few weekends ago - I was up in Brisbane at a Conference, staying with Stewart, and Marcus stayed a few nights too. It was nice to see him - he reminds me a lot of Greg.
Bugger, bell has gone and I have class. Must run.
Hope everyone is doing fine. Mum and dad are good, I will see them this Thursday.

Mona TRYING to get on!!
Morning all. What a time I am having with trying to get on the blog! I keep getting "verify your e mail and password" and it won't accept it! Right at the top right hand side is "Beryl Deda". I don't know what is going on, but today is the first time in ages that I THINK I am on ! So here goes!
I am having a day off today. We went to the city for the Blessing of Holy Oils last night, didn't get home till midnight, and the old body can't take it any more. So I am relaxing for today. Have a couple of loads of washing done and the ironing damped for tomorrows iron. I will walk up town when Bill gets home...he is having his ears checked at the Drs.
I have to update our church info. on the town web site, then...FREE!!!
I sent Wendy and Len a note the other day and mentioned the Anzac tin Nath gave me. The bikkies are long gone...good, too...but the tin sits on my counter so I can look at it. Love it.
I was going to go back and check on old blogs, but I am scared to leave this now that I think it is working, so will try to remember some of the older ones. I did so enjoy reading Carol's "history" blogs! Great work, kid. I keep the blog on Flash drive so I can look back once in a while while not actually at the computer. Have a few repeats...it is hard to avoid that, but no matter.
Yes, Bernice, I loved your Halloween pics! Good for you. We don't do anything, I hate it, but it is our anniversary and your B.Day, so we share a drop or two in our honour! Also, I was sorry to hear about Kelly. Bill and I know how it feels.It is 18 years on 13 Nov. since our baby died and we still mourn.Ken!! Retired!! Your far too young! But enjoy it, lad. It is a good time!

No word from her! I will have to send her a note. In case you read this, Marj, Bill and I are both enjoying having an adequate supply of hankies!! I thought I lost one of the blue ones in Montana, found it and when I did the blessing for supper, gave thanks for finding it! Family thought I had gone off my head! I told Kell it was one of our big bro's and she understood! So again, Thank You!!
Oh, another thing, what a time the Hunts,Egans and Paytons had at the island!! Way to go, Lisa and Ron! And great pic.s too.
I e mailed Wendy about the quilt pic.s she put on for me. I was hoping to get one of the doily ones made this winter, but work got in the way, so next winter. I have to finish a runner I have on the loom and rethread it to do place mats with stuff Lyn brought over for me.
Bill and I must be getting old, we sit evenings, usually with a glass....OK. OK...a bottle...of wine and "remember when" about our trip. We had not ever had it so good. Greg's car, Marcus to drive, family all along. Lovely Aussie cups from Cec and Ray. Trip to Bourke with John and Vicky. First time I was ever home to Bourke that I wasn't "HOME". I was so sad. Of course Stew met us in Brisbane and we had such a good night with him and the drive to Lismore. My big bro. looked so good. It was really hard to leave everyone
Did Lisa ever tell you about our "perfect picnic"? Ron drove us up the Mann river to their special place, Lisa packed food (and beer!!) Perfect spot, then kookaburras and would you beleive, a goanna!!! What a day!!

Bernice, I love our pillows. Think of you often as we snuggle down at night. They are really comfy. Think of our trip to the beach, too. What a great place you live in! So good to visit with you and to see Nath again.
Loved our evening with Wendys Lot. Little Dexter knew me right away, and was so happy to see me! Carol said they prepared him, told him I was coming! I would love to see Terese and Rick's garden in the summer.
I haven't heard from Lyn for some time, so assume Hannah and babe are doing well. Lyn booked us in to her motel in Sydney...very nice. Bus to the Air Port in the am. Beer in the fridge.....$7-50 a SMALL bottle!! We drank it, anyway!! Had a great night.
So, once again, thanks to everybody for a really great time home!
Bill and I went to Pincher in January to say Good Bye to Peter, then back a week or so later to take part in the funeral. It was hard to leave him, but I do think he was ready to go, and he was very uncomfortable, so we said "God speed". Kell is only so-so. She had a really hard time , but the kids are looking after her. She is lonely in the big condo by herself, so they are thinking after a while, move to a smaller place. Mean time, Kate and Char are taking turns in having her stay. I think Steve and Joanne go down and stay there in their turn.

I haven't talked to Tom in a few weeks, so may give her a call this afternoon. Cec keeps me up to date on her! I have to phone Cook, too, she is 80 today. A week or so after we came home, I got a large parcel from Cook. The two ceramic frogs of her's that I loved!! They are in the kitchen where I can keep an eye on them. We had such a good visit with her and Dan. Beautiful country and the orchids!!!
Oh, and I didn't tell you, Kell and I are having the little plaque for dad, on mum's grave, made into a larger, military one. Cec is doing all the foot work for us, and I hope John will apply it...likely glue. If he can't I will phone the people who did mum's headstone and get them to fix it on.
I am getting older, and I want it done while I am still here. I was really upset to see mum's headstone and dad's little brass plaque all covered in, I guess calcium from the water. There is a tap close to mum, and I think they must sprinkle all over her grave. It looked terrible. I could hardly read the inscription on dad's. Thanks to Tut for all her phoneing and running about to organize it for us. It was Vicky who suggested the military one...why didn't we think of that???

Hello again family
Still no news as we don't go anywhere or do anything of interest. OH, Oh oH oh, NSW is under flood waters (in case you didn't know). It's really quite amazing the amount of water around. It wasn't too many years back when the most of the state was declared drought stricken but now it's the reverse. I will post a pic on here of the Bre' road at home. I don't know the kids but it brings back memories :)

That's the house over the levee from Nans. Freaking awesome isn't it? It bucketed down rain here last night, to the point where I was going to keep the kids home from school. I didn't end up keeping them home though, just as well because typically the rain eased during the day.
