Monas' Christmas Cheer

This is Mona's Christmas cheer (Christmas parcels for the needy) Mona will post the information about the photo's when she returns home. Every thing you see on and under the tables was donated by people in our and the surrounding communities.

Everyone is well over here and having fun. Today was very warm and the snow started to melt and all the roads were slush.

Love Belinda and all the family.

Scone recipe

Does any one have Auntie Junes secret family recipe for scones. It has flour cream and water. we need the quantities so I can make them for Doug.
Thanks Belinda

Merry Christmas from Montana

Doug fixing the deer at 8am
Dough and the offense deer!

After 3 inches of snow
Before extra snow

Hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday and its Christmas morning here. We have had about 3inches of snow over night and its just beautiful.
Katie has been up for hours and has a a wonderful breakfast all in the over and that follows the roast duck dinner we had before church last night (Christmas eve). So i guess I will be a few kgs heavier when I leave here.
Doug has been out working on our team of hockey playing deer this morning and has fixed a few lights for us as we needed more cords etc. Will add a few video and photos later.

Santa has been and looks like he was very busy. Kell, Katie, Drew and I went out yesterday and cut the tree, the kids decorated it while Kell and I went to Cosco. Cosco is this amazing supermarket that is more like a warehouse I took photos and will put a few up at a later date.

Well Champagne is calling so will add through the day.
Travel safe everyone.
Love and a merry white Christmas Belinda xx

Yo Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to yoo's all :o)

Hello all, it's nigh on 7pm christmas day and we're pretty much done for the day. Hokey had us up about 7'ish but Ange fell asleep again (she's feeling a bit crook). Pressie's started about 9'ish and soon it was all done so we went back to bed while the kids played Play station and Nintendo DS.

Went to the beach with Meg and kids this arv'. Hokey went straight in this time, loved it. Ange was a much different story, she screamed and carried on until after about an hour we came home and she's slept since. Crook.

Sorry I haven't ben on Aunty's, I try to logon as much as I can but it's difficult. I have to go now b/c it's taken me so long to type this little bit on the laptop. I will do btter when we go home.

Merry Christmas to you all,

Love Sara and Co

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL FROM ANNA BAY

Well after all the hype and hoola its finally here and just about over. I made it home yesterday afternoon after work, thought the F3 would be hell but it was free flowing and I made it in the usual time. Greg had taken Marcus and 2 of Marcus's mates to Kahrua so they could ride their motorbikes while he rode the horses. All had a great time and Marcus was busy washing the mud off his motorbike when I got home.

Sarie and co here, the little ones have colds and the green runny nose thing happening but are otherwise well and supporting new haircuts. Bloody cat came with them as well. Im not too partial to the felines and this one is pretty when its curled up asleep but drives you made when its awake and bounces onto every available surface. Has the most vivid blue eyes Ive ever seen on a cat. I was rather eager to get to bed and didnt want to have to wait up to do the santa bit so I hit the sack early. I left it to the boys to drag the gifts out of Gregs room once the little ones went to bed. Yes I was up with the birds and eager to unwrap but no it wasnt to be. The rest of the bodies didnt surface until about 8am. Garry arrived and we cooked up bacon and eggs for all. Once fed and watered the tree was raided and all were thrilled with Santa's surprises.

Tully girls I know you are at the Lowes this morning and I will talk to you after lunch but thank you so much for the Pandora Bracelet. I just love it and it will be treasured always. I love it.

Lyn I know you are probably snowed in and the house will smell of all those exotic christmas food smells. I wish I was there too to be part of it. But I am there in spirit and send my love to each and everyone of you. Have a lovely day and please lots of photos ok.

We are having prawns mud crabs oysters ham and chicken and salad. Coles christmas cake and white christmas and Big Sister pudding.

Last year I fussed and made the cake etc but this time I was just too busy with working away at Toronto and have also started at the Nelson Bay community hospital as well as seeing clients for the hunter nursing agency as they dont have a RN up this way to manage their clients. Im only going to do it for a short while until someone else can come on board. I have to teach clients to mix up and self inject a drug to treat their rheumatoid arthritis, monitor and heaps of documentation for the drug company that makes the Enbrel. Imagine my surprise when one of the clients turns out to be Aunty Cook's Danny's first cousins partner. And they live right next door to where Greg use to agist his horses. Anyway I seem to be chasing my tail at all times.

My big boy is here and its great to have him about. Hasn't changed, still my big boy. Cant brag about my childrens academic achievements because there have been none. Marcus failed most subjects, too busy with the social scene to worry about the books. Jacob did well and passed all of his subjects.

Miss Kelly well done on your achievements at school we are all very proud of you. The school dedicated their year book to Liz which was a lovely gesture.

MerryChristmas from the Pilot Mound gang.

Good morning all. And a very Merry Christmas. Bill is sleeping...wish it was me! I am just getting ready to leave this afternoon after church. Got a batch of Kell's shortbread made last night, but ran out of energy, so made the dough for the next lot.......thought of you, Sarie......and have to cook it this am. Will get the car clean when Bill surfaces, pack, get the house tidy enough to leave and I AM READY!! I talked to Cec and Tom yesterday. Couldn't get Junie, but will try again today. When we get home I will get on here and have a yarn. I have some photos of my Christmas Cheer that I will put on too, so you can see why I haven't been about for awhile.
To those of you going to the wedding, please do the photo thing for us ! CD's are best, we can both play them, if DVD's, we share the player. We will be thinking of you. Bill and I will have to race to get home in time to phone John before hand....we leave on the 1st. .....not much traffic, get home on 2 nd, already the 3rd at home, so will have to phone right away.
Must go. Do have a great day. Love to you all. MERRY CHRISTMAS. Mona

Kell's Missing Post

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you too!!!

Dear Family,
You gotta love winter. Yesireee. Its JUST -29 here at the moment. (O. K. Mona Ann, get your butt over here & see how much you like it.) If I see one more snow flake, I'm heading south. WAY south. No news really, same old, same old.
You know how it is, mop the floor, change the bed. Thorough clean in the toilet. Oh. & mop the floor. Do mega wash, & in case I didn't mention, mop the floor. I'm sure you are getting the message.
We have had a very unusual December. Mo can have this sort of weather, (she deserves it), but in sunny Alberta, we are not used to it.Lin arrived, safe but late. "They" cancelled her first flight, so she had a sleep over in San Fran.,or Denver, I've forgotten which. I think Kate has kept her busy since her arrival. They head up to British Columbia tomorrow, for Drews' hockey. First in Cranbrook I think, then on Sunday, over to Creston. A LONG drive from Whitefish.
Doug is somewhere in Montana with Dan, for his hockey. I'm hoping these are the last games for this year. They usually have a "family team"contest over Christmas, so I'm assuming ditto for this year.
Today is 19th, so too late to get any more Christmas cards in the mail. If you have not received one, then "this is it". I still have to ring quite a few, but with the time difference, by the time I can ring over there, (2.00pm here) I'm usually involved with something else here. Bit of a nuisance, but not much I can do. It is only like this at Christmas. We have tons of snow, with more coming most days. Traveling is not recommended most days. I had hoped to get up to Calgary tomorrow with Deda & Ivancic presents. However, I think they will be "new year" gifts now, as I am running out of time, & the forecast is more of the same. We are planning on leaving for whitefish on 23rd., but will all depend on conditions at the time.
I sent Jett Myers the info to get on the blog, & have been waiting patiently to see his entry. Sofar, no word, so if you are logging on Jett, PLEASE post a blog with information on family & life in London. It would be great to hear from you.
I know I am very remiss, but I DO love to log on first thing in the am. Most days I'm disappointed, but when there is a new post, I'm "fed" for the rest of the day. It is always a stimulant, & also a source of news.I'm wondering how everyone is surviving the economic turmoil? I know it has been very hard on our retirement fund. Hope the rest of you are faring better. I have warned everyone, that come the new year, I will curtail every expense excepting the absolute necessities. I have not even glanced at our investment portfolio, & I don't intend to look at it till things pick up. I don't want to know how bad it is.We have a funeral tomorrow for one of our church members. She was ONLY 96. A very dear soul, & very active till the last few days before hospitalization. She will be missed, as she was STILL doing a weekly column for our local newspaper. I got our church baskets done yesterday.
Each Christmas we do "goodie" baskets for the sick & immobile of our church. It was a h--- of a cold day, & my helpers didn't show up. I only had 16,so it wasn't a big deal, & the vestry decided that Peter should get one too. He was a happy camper. A big party tomorrow night, but it is 25 miles out in mountainous country, & the forecast is for COLD, (surprise) so I rang today & said I just couldn't make it. Too old for the driving conditions, so will be warm & cosy at home instead. As usual, I'm just prattling, so will sign off. I wish you one & all, a Blessed Christmas, & good health & happiness in 2009. Love to all. Kell

December 14, 2008

Sorry Lin but I couldn't resist. I did say I came back a few times to really appreciate it and I did say how nice the decca's are. It's nice to be able to have nice things and to be able to enjoy them, I haven't a hope in this house... I have been thinking you must already be in Canada, weather forcasts say our xmas is going to be a particularly hot one, great! I've been thoroughly enjoying our changing weather but as usual every other Sydneysider is complaining about it, it's either too hot, too wet or too cold for them.

Angelina's out the back calling to Daddy up the driveway, he's finishing an installation. Hokey's just cut through to go out front and now Marc's dog has barked, sounds like she's out of his bedroom. He probably opened his door so she could comwe out and pee. I have stopped wiping up after the dog and Tony has just about had enough of cleaning up after it too.

Missed church today, didn't get to sleep until around 3am'ish, not by choice. We have been trying to get a lot of rubbish sorted out before christmas and time's running short.

No news, last week of school and we'll go to Greg's sometime after next weekend I suppose. Mum's undecided whether to go to Aunty Cooks now or after christmas.

Baby's crying, gotta go,

Sara xxx

Cant talk now have run out of time. In case I have missed anyone a healthy happy christmas too you all and to all a great new year. Photos of the boys in the hills. Marcus had a week off school to muster cattle at Moonan Flats. Took a mate with him who had not experienced "bush life" of any kind and had not been away from his mum. 16yrs old. HE grew up and loved evey minute of it. Will tell more and have a few more photos next time. Lyn u have fun and give our love to all os please. C you in the new year. I have a work christmas dinner to go to tonight work mornings over the weekend a day shift at Nelson Bay Polyclinic on Monday, have been recruited by Hunter Nursing Agency to do supervision education and monitoring of a couple of their clients who will commence on a new drug for rheumatoid artheritis. Its a pilot program and the drug company wants lots of documentation of course. Why oh why do I do this to myself. My big boy arrived home yesterday, thanks sarie for picking him up for me. Of course the boys have had a spat already.
Pouring rain here wish it would blow to buggery or to Bourke for a few days. Love to all
Meg

Chrsitmas greetings

Hi all,
Lisa here, just a quick hello before work.
Sara, that foot sure does look nasty, ouch!
Belinda, I can email all except Toni's address, but I do not have your email address to give them to you! Have a great and safe trip, am sure you will have a blast.
Only one week of school left before holidays, yeah! Today is the last day of classes, next week we have End Of Year Activities. We teach for half a day. Ronny and I are on in the mornings. I am teaching How to make and edit a short Film, and Ronny is teaching Beginner Guitar. Should be an easy week.
Mum and Dad are coming down to visit for a few days next week. Mum and I will go shopping for a Christmas present for her - it usually is clothes. Always fun when they come and stay.
Last weekend Ronny and I attended an African Drumming and dance workshop. It was great fun. I loved the djembe drumming, but was not fussed on the dance. Ronny surprised me by getting right into the dance. He was a bit sore on Monday though!
Really looking forward to Christmas. Will be an "extra fun" Christmas with Kenny and Bernice! I can hear the laughs now.
oops, time flys, better rush off to work,
Love Lisa

Ho Ho Ho Sara !!!

Well Miss Sara I love my tree. Yes it is weird I know, but I have wanted one for years and it is a reproduction of an antique with feathers wound along each limb. It is designed to show of your decorations and seems I have a huge collection of them what can I say.
Can someone email me some postal addresses please?
Mandy Linehan
Ces and Ray
Lisa, Jane and Stewart

Only a few day to go and I am off! Of course I am not ready so much to do, so I must get busy. I promise to post lots from the other side of the world!
Merry Christmas

Two nights in a row!

Lin I hate to be rude but I hope you didn't pay for ectra luggage to bring your tree home. I could've gone out back and grabbed one just like it on the Dubbo Road, I think you were cut short... Sorry Lin, I couldn't resist. I saw your post after I'd lodged mine last night and had to come back and look at the pic a few times to really appreciate it. The decca's are gorgeous though, wouldn't last long in this house. I see Hokey has already just about stripped the tree and the spiral ornaments have been turned into 'Rockets' on the lounge room floor, good thing they're cheapies...

Mum's gone home :o(. Angelina screamed when I dropped her off at the bus stop on Eddy Ave outside Central Station. There's no parking so I leave home with just enough time to get there and jump out for a hug before having to jump back in again and drive off ('jump' being the opperative word here). Did that make sense? I don't know but Ango screamed "BENNY, BENNYYYY". Poor little possum, she's loved having Benny here. Benny's enjoyed being here with them also but I'm sure she's glad to go home too, she is now preparing to unpack and repack to go up to see Aunty Cook. Hope I can still get about like her at her age...

Wish I had Hannah's cooking prowess, I like my cooking but NO-ONE else will eat it. Kids I understand but trying to cook for a bloke who doesn't like vege's is not easy. I made Lebanese stuffed zuchinni's. I enjoyed them.

It is late and the kids are still awake so I have to rush off. Been doing 'work' on Tony's pc all day and my head is done in with it.

Love to all,
Sara xxxxx

Merry Christmas Oh All Yee Faithful

Hokey the other day

Ango' the same day

The busted foot!

Ditto ditto, yadah yadah yadah. I am a very festive person, not! Have children now so have to make the effort. I do remember how exciting it used to be though. I think it was late November and I'd be harassing mum to let me put the tree up. I used to be meticulous with it too and the other three used to get me to wrap their gifts for each other because I did it so damned brilliantly (I guessed) so they all had lovely looking pressie's under the tree and I could tell which were mine because they were the plain looking ones. Didn't matter, the tree looked beautiful and the old lights that had to be strategically placed so as not to melt the tree when they were on, shining on the tinsel which glistened in the 'breeze' of the old BreezeAir in the window. Hmph, that old tree had quite a few 'fused' bristles on it but the nativity set, curtesy of Aunt Mo' I think, in the old redundant fireplace playing Silent Night made the whole thing so magical. Sitting back with a blottle of Splashe and a Mintie, what more could a kid (of the time...) want?

Lin I loved the Email posting. I too have to unblock my mailbox every time I log in which isn't very often these days but I do enjoy some of the chain ones, like that one that bring a smile to me but the tear jerkers I just delete because I don't like to think of any child in any of those circumstances even though the emails are all bull**** anyway. If I forward them I try to delete the 'forward to' crap at the end and only send them to ppl I think will enjoy them and yes, I did have my finger on the mouse. That one made me smile, will have to copy/paste it on to my 'Mates' list :o)

Yes, thank you Jane. No the 'accident' didn't keep me off my foot at all which is probably why it still hurts quite a bit but the Hiradoid, no not hemorhoid cream that Meg told me to apply has really got rid of the bruising but not the pain. Now I have nothing to show Meg when she comes to collect Jacob on Thursday except the big bulge out the side of my ankle!
Aunt Mo', I can actually hear you saying "Good morning all" as if you were right next to me. Wish I were Lin coming over there. Tony was only saying the other day how he'd like to see another 'white christmas'.

I'm in the process of printing off some newspaper clippings, classes of BHS 1948 4 &5B and 5 & 6A for Mum to send to Mark. HP Photosmart is not being so smart right now, couldn't be me... No, it isn't me, didn't think so. Printing directly from the folder is working fine.

I can hear Suki (my Siamese) meowing out the side, she's coming in to season and has been hanging out with 'Roger the Lodger' as he's known, 2 doors up. I'd best get her inside before she gets up the duff!
Mum was just saying how she hasn't bought any christmas presents and doesn't want any, "some noodles maybe, ... or a zuchini, couple of mushrooms..." She has the vege's in her noodles. Still manages to crack me up.
Better get to bed, night all, S xxx

December 04, 2008

Merry Christmas everyone,
Just to get everyone in the festive mood. This is my feather tree I purchased in Montana last year. I have always wanted one and now have it. The decorations are antique from the 1940's and 50's. The shaped one's are light globes that I also collect.

Sit back and have a ead! It must be all true as it came to me in an email!!!

Dear my friends
As we move closer to the end of another year I wanted to thank you for all the e-mails you have forwarded to me over the past year.

I must send a big thank you to whoever sent me the one about rat shit in the glue on envelopes, because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.
Also, I now have to wipe the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it all to a sick girl who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.
But that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates and Microsoft are sending me for participating in their special email programs.
Or from the senior bank clerk in Nigeria who wants me to split seven million dollars with me for pretending to be a long lost relative of a customer who died intestate.

And I need no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.
I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward emails to seven friends and make a wish within five minutes.

I no longer drink Coca-Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer can buy petrol without taking a friend along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer go to shopping centres because someone will drug me with a food sample and rob me.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number and then I'll get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan .

I can't even pick up the five bucks I found dropped in the car park because it was probably put there by a crazed axe murderer waiting under my car to grab my leg.

If you don't send this email to at least 144,000 people in the next 10 minutes, a large pelican with an acute case of diarrhoea will sit on your head and fleas from 12 camels will infest your back .

I know this because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbour's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's plumber - and it was on Good Morning Australia.

By the way...... did you know that a South American scientist has, after a lengthy study, discovered that people with low IQs who don't have enough sex, always read their emails while holding the mouse.

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late...

This made me laught as I get 100's of emails every day at work with this Stuff it takes me a good 10mins to just delete it all.

This week has been a busy week with end of year stuff and today I have hit the wall. so best cancel tonight gig and go to the gym and then home for a nice dinner of veggies.
Hannah has moved out to a very nice town house with her partner Sam, Lauren and I went for dinner last night, Hannah is a great cook so we had a lovely dinner and sat out on the balcony fro drinks first.

Big weekend of planning shopping and packing before I head off in a week.

Love to all Belinda

Grafton calling..

Hello All,
Wow, I have been away, and there sure was some catch up reading to do, awesome.
Firstly, hang in there Bernice, it does get better. Eventually the cravings will go. Good on you for giving up, we are all on your side.
Sara, hope the foot/leg is healing. Knowing how you can not stay down for long, it must be very frustrating.
Aunt Mo, great to hear from you. The place sounds nice with snow, but I will stick to the sunshine here!
Am very proud of Sebastian and his year 12 awards, but hey, there was no mention of Brydie! She took out the major year 10 award at her school, so good on Brydie too! Am sure my neice and nephew take after me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy birthday Aunty Tom. Just let me know where the party is and I'll be there for her 8oth next year. Have managed the first three 80ths, and intend to be at all the others.
Very excited about going to Johnno's wedding. I can not think of a happier occasion that I would like to attend. Will be so neat to see Johnno so happy.
Have been away and only just getting my head back into gear. Two weeks ago I had my big Drama Night and it went off! Was so proud of the students, they really did well. Then I went to a Regional Drama Camp for four days with 14 students and about 4 hours sleep! It was HUGE. All very busy - then it was time to switch gear. Arrived home on saturday afternoon, changed clothes, bag and car, and headed out to Wolli - the beach. Ronny had packed everything and taken it down the the unit we rented, so all I had to do was get there. We had taken a weeks long service leave, so the whole week was ours. It was magic. We just slept, read, walks on the beach , cooked brilliant meals, drank great wine etc. Zappa had a ball too, learned to ride the waves, very funny! I know it sounds bad - but now we only have three weeks until holidays again!
Am going to try and get into the Christmas thing this week. Will try to get the tree up today too. Thinking of you all,
sending our love by the truck full,
Lisa and Ronny

It's winter in Manitoba!!

Good morning all. A very short note, Bill will be in shortly for lunch and then we go to decorate the church for Advent and Christmas. Bit of a problem this year, new minister and he doesn't want decorations up till Christmas eve!!! Who has time, I ask you? He will get a surprise when he comes in and finds it all dec'd out and looking pretty! We always do it for Advent, and I plan to continue!! A beautiful white world this am. Lovely frost. If it gets heavier I will go out with the camera and get some pic's for you. Talked to Junie babe last night, very bad line so didn't talk long, but she is in a lot of pain, sees her doctor on Monday, so I will call again on Wed. to see what is happening. I tried to get Tom for her birthday, but had a terrible time, line not in use, static, busy signals. Tried for 2 days then gave up. Kell got through OK she said. Talked to Kell yesterday, life not getting easier for her. I wish we could go over again, but can't afford to, and also are too busy at this time of year. We will get there for Christmas. Looking forward to Lyn coming (And NOT just because I ordered Cadburys and Licorice !!! ) Made our pud. last week...looks and smells good ! It is my 'cheat', along with a drop of wine !
Our hockey game which we had hoped to play in our rink (first one !!) has to be played at Crystal City tonight. Too bad, but our time will come ! Our Complex is really looking good, and we will get it finished eventually. Need money (about $150,000.00 if you have any to spare !) I will have to do Smokos this coming week, I dont have the time or the energy during Dec. with doing Christmas Cheer. I am expecting to have more hampers this year, with the economy being as bad as it is. Best get off my butt and get busy. Have to cook 22lb. sausages and make 2 doz. muffins for Breakfast with Santa on Sunday. Cook the sausages early and just reheat to take to the hall. Had a card from John and Vicky yesterday. Nice to hear from them, and made me realize I have to do cards yet, too !!! Love to all. Keep your stick on the ice ! Mona
I am not rereading and cant do spell check on this, (I see vicinity can be spelt with an 'a ' in my last note! ) When I try spell check on the blog, I lose my note ! Any errors, Tough !! M.

Tch tch tch

We're here Boun', just haven't had a chance to log on. Things are the same old same old. I have been flat out nursing Tony, he has spent the last 3 weeks in bed so I've been running around ("running" being the operative word) tending to him (diabetes, back and everything else 'geezers' get) and trying to care for the terrors as well. /mum suggested she come down for a couple of weeks and I just about cried with relief. She arrived on Saturday and has been my saviour next to Jesus, God bless mums. It's her birthday today, 79yrs young!

Well done too for the giving up smoking, wish Big Girl would do it too. I used to smoke on and off but haven't much desired it since Ango' was born so I guess I've stopped. They make me too light headed. Marc' goes into the toilet to smoke, stinks the bl**dy place up. I'm going to have it out with him again soon. He smokes his pot in his bedroom so he can smoke his fags in there too!

Also thank you to 'Lissa for logging in to say G'day. It's always good to hear from the Bourkites and what's going on out there. I have a cat now too, a little Siamese Blue Point and mum doesn't even mind her. Like all the pets I've had she has real personality. Mum pushed her away the other day whiloe sitting on the bed so the cat, Suki casually walked over and bit her on the arm. I laughed so hard, she's a funny little thing.

Anyway, I did a silly thing the other day. Climbed up on the side of the bathtub to look on top of the mirrored cabinet for some cologne I'd bought Tony last year and he hadn't used, expensive s**t so I figured I'd use it. It wasn't up there so I held the hand rail opposite the tub to climb down, left leg first b/c it doesn't bend so well. I had it almost to the floor but was feeling unsteady so considered hopping the last 1/2 foot or so. Right leg was still on the tub. So down I hopped (yeah, of course I can do this...)
S-N-A-P... then many expletives. In the instant it happened my ankle and lower calf swelled to the size of a butternut pumpkin. After a while I allowed Tony to come in (I was leaning against the door) and help me out and on to the bed. Put it up on a few pillows and spent the next few hours resting it on bags of frozen vege's. Everyone was convinced I'd broken it but I didn't believe so. I decided it was the cartlidge popping, like when you crack a knuckle because my ankle hasn't had much movement for 7 & 1/2yrs now. I spent the night with it elevated then had Tony drop me at the hospital before he took Giancarlo to school. I knew I'd be there for hours so no point him hanging around. When I was finally taken to be x-rayed the radiologist couldn't place my foot in the required position to get the view they needed so it was decided they'd put my lower leg and foot in a splint (air splint or the like) and I can at least weight bare with a crutch, albeit very painfully. So now that I'm not supposed to be moving around I might be able to log on a bit more. Mind you I should have my foot up higher than my body but I'd find it a little difficult doing that here at the pc so it's throbbing a bit. Ouh no, it's ok if I rest the keybourd on my lap and put my foot on the table.

So that's been my s**t for the last while. Mum's a legend though and very patient although grits her teeth over our dear house-companion, don't we all...

Jane, hard to believe your young'ns have grown up so fast. Patrick and yourself must be SO very proud and ought you should be. If I could be half the mother you are I'd be on top of the world.

Bernice, I'd love to come down and spend a few days but it never b****y eventuates. I'm going to have to pack a few bags and keep them in the car for when I have a whim and can just collect Hokey from school and keep driving. Hokey often mentions you out of the blue, he'd love to come and visit too.

Tony has taken Angelina to day care, she goes for 3hrs on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I will ring them to see if he did actually drop her off because I know she would've put on a turn and he's such a sucker he'd probably give in to her. He was off to the doctors afterwards so may have taken her with him. I'll phone and check.

No news as such so will sign off and hope all are well. Oh, mum told me that Peter Tully was coming to Sydney to see that Andre' Rieui (however it's spelt) bloke. Blew me away, onya Pete'.

Ciao all,
Love Red XOXOXOX

From cold wet Canberra

Hi everyone.
I agree Bernice, Congratulations Seb well done! it is hard to be on top all the time and not get distracted so great Job and congrats to mum and dad for producing a smart good looking Payton Oops Egan!!!!

Bernice i remember when Bill gave up smoking Hum not a happy chappy but was worth putting up with his S#%^** he was a nicer person for it, it did take a while though. So keep going and think of all the Chocolate you can eat to make up for it.

It was nice to see Mark Myers and his family. Mark do you ever read this ? It would be nice to hear from you, i have almost forgotten what you look like.

I hope every one has a great time at Johno's wedding and take lots of pictures and put them on the blog straight away so we can look at them in Montana, and Canada. Some one will have to take there Laptop with them.

I should not complain but its raining and cold. I don't mind the rain it's the cold I hate. we have had the heating on for 3 days and isn't it about 1 month til Christmas?

My wall paper on my computer is Peters backyard after the rain Storm on the day of Jess's 21st party. Love the big puddles! just like the puddles that used to be in the track where Honeyman's House is, remember Jane? I remember running up to it and back waiting for Sara to come home from hospital when she was born.

I have just spoken to Kate and am now getting excited about going over for Christmas. It was snowing while we were talking.

OK it's almost 12.30 and I am off to the gym for a quick run, I need to get rid of a few kg's before I go, ( well I can wish can't I )

Love to all Belinda

Beautiful Southern Manitoba

Good morning all. You should be up, and if you aren't, you will be soon ! It is 2pm here, so should be in the vacinity of 7am for most of you. I was just thinking of you, Sarie. I am 'on ' smokos for this week at the Complex, and out of ideas, so have a batch of short bread in cooking...looking good, too. Did your's ever turn out? We are going to Winnipeg on Friday, so I am trying to get a bit of baking done ahead of time, I can give it to one of the men at the Complex and he will put it out at coffee time. Buy the way, we HOPE to play hockey in the rink on 9th December. We wont be finished it, but the ice should be in, and the seats are there.....I may buy a season ticket this year, they need the money, and my neighbour (Kelly Burns, Meg.)
is the coach, so anything for him ! A very light snow falling. I look out and think of mum. I always wrote to her when the snow was coming down. Think of her often.
So who is going to the wedding? How I would love to be there, but no use to think about it, I cant go and that is that. Hope the rest of you are going. As Jane said, another Payton 'Do' should be fun. No news here. I talked to Kell last night, and all are well over there. Peter doing OK.
Bill is at the Complex. It is a full time job (without the pay!!) but he does enjoy it. I took smoko yesterday and there were 18 men there, all working. We keep them in 'goodies ' for smokos, and that keeps them happy. They have a lot of fun together.
I have the fruit for our Christmas pudding soaking in brandy, give it a stir every once in a while. Smells good. I will make the puddings when we come home from the city. Just tried a little shortbread, and there is this to say about my shortbread...it is GOOD!! Best go and get on with doing things, it is never ending ! Love ya !! Mona

Murwillumbah signing in

Hi every one,
I am back from marking land. I too have had grievances signing in however unlike Sara's mine was user error.
I spent quite a lot of time last night composing a message however lost the lot as I was trying to get photos of Sebastian's formal. I have had some very big days. I got back from marking on Wednesday and hit the ground running. Seb had his formal Friday night I think it was the proudest his father has ever been as he won some major awards the biggest one being the main prize of the evening "general excellence for all round effort" .
Sat night we had another party so it was a HUGE weekend.
Every one has finished their exams THANK GOD now we have to wait until the results. Seb finished on Melbourne cup day and I believe he spent the next 2 days in a alcoholic haze. I was still away marking he asked his father if her could have a few mates around for a BBQ on the day he finished. Patrick didn't mind however it went for 2 days !!!! (His father is a bit of a softy when it comes to his son)
Asha has finished all of her Uni exams however she starts Summer school this week. Grace and Brydie have finished so every thing is quite relaxed. We are starting to get ready for christmas.
We are making arrangements for the BIG wedding which will be so much fun seeing everyone (it will probably only be a quiet affair in true Payton style what do you reckon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I will go now( I am at school at the moment ) tonight i will have another go at pictures. more for Lisa as she wants to see them I hope they won't be too boring for every one else.
Love Jane xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Murwilumbah signing in

Hi everyone,

I am back from marking land. I am absolutely exhausted. 2 weeks of solid brain work and very long days we had some 8. 8.80pm days and they exhaust you. I arrived back on Wednesday and have hit the ground running. Sebastian finished his exams on Melbourne Cup day ans apparently spent 2 days celebrating in an alcoholic Haze. I was away however, his father allowed him to have his friends around it ended up going for 2 days.

Lucky I wasn't here. We had his formal on Friday night and I am going to try and put some photos on the blog (If I can) It was such a wonderful night and we were so proud of him as he won some major awards the main one being general excellence I don't think I have ever seen his father so proud.

Saturday night we had another party to go to as Seb was dropping us off he said "this should be me you two party more than I do" Consequently I am exhausted from partying!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is well Asha has finished Uni for the year she is starting Summer School this week it means she will get a subject over with during the summer. Brydie and Grace have finished their exams Brydie actually finishes up school next week. I am letting her have tomorrow off and sher and Seb are going over to mum and dad' for the day. Brydie is going to Mebourne for a week when she finishes. Seb is doing Schoolies at Morton Island nd Anthea is going to Fiji as soon as her school finishes. Q.L.D finish earlier than us.

Now I am going to have a go of trying to put sme photos on. The girl with Seb was his partner and very close friend Jess. The other photo is his best friend Matt. hope this works love Jane.xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Howdy

Hello all, I've been trying to logon but have had grievance after grievance with my connections that most days I get fed-up and just throw in the towel. Think I've sorted it out, I hope... The 'typo's' have gone, I was using Telstra's Bigpond Internet Security and it was stuffing everthing up so I uninstalled it and bought a 3yrs subscription of Trend Micro Pro, much better.

Aunt Mo', if we didn't talk about our everyday 'stuff' it would be a dry old blog indeed. Any 'news' is just cream on top!

Yep, we're off to Johnno's nuptuals, must book a room now before it gets too late. Looking forward to it too. Johnno will be 63yrs old, there's hope for Greg yet... lol

I have the stereo on in the room here with me, listening to a radio station with classical music, it's heavenly. Think it's ABC. Funny how all the 'old fogie' stuff seems not so fogie as you start to become a fogie, lol.

Don't know what we're doing for xmas Big Girl, probably stay here I reckon. Don't fancy it but...

The weather has been cool and warm/hot here too but I like it that way. It was supposed to be 20 today but don't think it quite made it there. I was sitting out front about an hour ago but had to come in as it was a bit too chilly. Have my chenile (yes, 'fogie' attire) dressing gown on now and it's nice and toasty :o) Will run a warm tub soon.

Tony's been crook all weekend so we haven't done a thing. I'd love a sleep but I know that's not going to happen, wish mum were here...

Nope, not ABC but WSSR, it's FM not AM!

I have some pics on my camera but keep forgetting to bring it to the computer room to upload them.

I will sign off b/c I'm too cold to sit here and must spend some time with the kids. Take care and love to all,

Sara xxxxx

greetings from God's country

Hi all! I haven't been in touch for awhile, I've been sick and no one wants to hear me moan, but that's the reason I have been quiet.first hurt my neck fertilizing lawn, then got mid ear infection which caused dizzy spells...like I need to be any more dizzy!! got put on antibiotic's...and for the first time in my life..had a allergic re-action to them and came out in 'lumps, bumps and rashes..looked like the elephant man..scary,ended up at the hospital got needles and tablets OK then got the flu which turned into bronchitis..still have it! Its been 3 weeks feeling a little better now but wheezing still so I haven't been to the gym or been able to exercise..and the sad part is ken bought me a "treadmill' for my birthday hopefully very soon will be able to use it, thank god Ken didn't catch any of it.
Even tho I was crook still had halloween' the kids come anyway..and turned out a great night for them will send pics if I can.
Mona was great to hear from you i for one love hearing about "the snow" its all so facinating to me..and I know the "Tully kids love to hear about "Pumpkin Pies" just joking they made us laugh at June's Party said our Blog was corrupt>>>too much pumpkin pie.Ha! You and Bill are busy helping other people. I don't know how you find the time or energy but good on you.

Kell thanks for the wishes...you have been quite on the blog too??? hows things all well i hope.

Meg great letter again, you do seem so happy in your work and with life now that's great. Hi to the "lobster Hunter" and Greg and your Mum I was talking to your Mum the other day she rang me for my birthday which was nice.

Sara, things can only get better. Hang in there think of the lovely things you have like tony and the kids etc etc. and i don't have to spend a couple of days with you to understand your predicament You have told me enough and I don't need to be in a "tornado before I know how windy it is but it can only go up hopefully. Are you planning to go to John's wedding? hope so.

Lisa , meg, so happy you are going to John's wedding sounds like a lot of the family are going that's great i also hope he gets lots of family and love and support..We hope to get there but we will be on the Gold coast until the day before but we are working on it..

Belinda..lovely photo of your daughter, she's gorgeous...whats happening with .."the Blog Book' ? if I don't hear from you blog wise i will email or ring you about it..hope all are well you would be getting excited now ready for trip aye.

lisa, I think i have a Zappa- sitter lined up will let you know as soon as i do

Me again.

See, I get started and dont know when to stop! Watched the service from Ottawa this am at 10. (11 for them ) Was doing OK till the First Natiions fellow came out with his eagle feather. I lost my cool. Very emotional. Then I espy 2 (TWO) brown slouch hats, with the sides turned up !! They should not be allowed to do this to an old person !! So I went to our service with red and swollen eyes! All was going well till the United Church minister told a story of a young wife saying her last Goodbye to her husband (she didn't know it was the last !) and being comforted by a stranger on the train platform !! Managed to get through my prayers OK, but with shakey voice and trembling hands. NEXT YEAR SOMEONE ELSE CAN TAKE OVER!!
Bill has gone up to help an old Vet. move his living quarters, I have a pot of Billy Tea made....we deserve it today....we will eat, then take our poppies to the cemeteries. I wore one of my Aussie ones this am, and will leave it for dad. I will tell him its from home ! While we are at our cemetery I have to measure out a grave for a burial on Thursday. I will get it set up today and hope it doesn't snow too much before the grave diggers come. OK, I will go now. Just needed to tell you about the Diggers at Ottawa, get it off my chest ! Love ya. Mona.

Anna Bay Mob

Hi there all.

Aunt Mona we all love to hear what you have been up to and I must say wow what a busy schedule you have. I thought I was busy just with everyday stuff to do but you put me to shame. I had a chuckle about the pumpkin. I had a couple of lots ready in the freezer for the pies but they were eaten by Greg when we had to make room for the lobsters that Marcus was catching. He sold the lot that he got then had his traps stolen. So no more lobsters until we think about paying the $ for new ones. And it is a shame because there are plenty around at the moment.

Greg has just finished mowing the lawns and doing a bit of weeding. The yard looks lovely and I love the smell of the freshly cut grass. Marcus was going to mow the neighbours lawns for them but they have the sprinklers on. Now he has gone off to the sand dunes with his mates to busy themselves with a shack they are building down there. 4 of them not long left with great big long bits of timber to build another room. They might need a bit of guidance Uncle Bill. Would love to have you come and stay anytime. Mind you the shack has withstood a few fierce gale winds so they must be doing something ok. The last cubby they built the council pulled it down. If they are not careful the NPW will get onto them about this one.

Its very overcast here at the moment an feels muggy, we could get a bit of a shower. The weather is a bit odd. One minute its beach weather the next it back to jumpers and blankets. I will get a bikini on one day Ha Ha. Yeah right Meg.

Have no plans for Christmas still, and will probably end up working. I wont if Sari and co come up. Jacob never got back to me with what he wants to do so I have made no arrangements for him.

I'm still at Toronto Private Hospital and loving it. I work full time again on a casual basis. The Nelson Bay Polyclinic wanted me to have an interview with them tomorrow. I said thank you very much but that I was working a morning shift. They then rang back and asked if I would do a phone interview instead. What could I say, Im a wanted woman. So yes I will do the interview tomorrow. I dont know what they have to offer yet but it will have to be good for me to give up shifts at Toronto. I caught up with a couple of the nurses that Iworked with at Tomaree and they told me that there is yet another RN on the books and that another had left since I went. Just goes to show, if you dont look after your staff you wont have any.
Bernice where are the Halloween photos. Am anxiously awaiting to hear how it went down there??
Sarie love your notes keep up the great work, dont worry about the spelling mistakes we will work it out one way or another.
Will be heading to Dubbo for Johnos wedding wouldnt miss giving him our love and support. Way to go Johno and Vick. Like Aunt Mona I hope everyone comes it will be great.
Must go and pack the bag for Toronto, a 5am start in the morning and I have to put a bit of flavour into this lamb neck stew, its a bit bland. A handful of salt might help.
Jess girl you get here asap I am waiting ok, and have taken days off so you travel safe and we will hit the breakwall or the beach and chase a jew fish so you can take it home to Dad. Wont he just love that!!!
Till the next home run
Love Meg

Pilot Mound Ramblings.

OK, I am guilty! I haven't been on for a long time, but I keep thinking no one needs or wants to know what I am doing!
Life is not boreing, I am busy most of the time, but it is just 'doing stuff ' and I am sure you dont want to hear about it. I was just thinking about Meg. I have cooked (pressure cooker) 2 pumpkins, have two more to go, then put them through the smasher for pies during winter. I have two BIG bags left over from last year, but who doesn't like soup??
We had our first big snow storm for the season over the week end. Bill and I were supposed to be in the city for our church Synod, but couldn't get out of town ! Bill was a bit stressed about it, Mona REALLY enjoyed the time...didn't have anything on the calendar, so FREE TIME!!
Was I lazy !!! We went to a play in Holland (1/2 hr. drive) yesterday afternoon, and the roads are still sticky. My poor car is covered with salt, sand and mud ! I go to Portage on Thursday to have my winter tyres put on the car, and there is a touchless car wash there, so will put the baby through it. Tomorrow is the 11th. Bill will march with the Legion, I am one of the organizers so get to sit. Only have to say prayers this year, so that is a treat. I ' did ' a little service up at the Seniors Home this am, Bill was over to the school at Crystal this afternoon for the same thing.
After the service tomorrow, we take our poppies to the cemetery to out family members graves. I leave one for dad on Bill's dad's grave, we go to La Riviere then (the boys used to ski there) and leave one on a favourite cousins grave, home and get ready for supper, my computer gyru Frank is coming for supper, so lemon merangue pie is a must. Cant stand it myself, raw egg.
It will be 14 years since our Aussie died on 13th at 10-45 am. Bill is able to go on with his day, but I still miss her so much, so spend a very quiet day remembering. Only those of you who are dog lovers will understand. My heart still aches for her, though I know she is happy with Bertha and Grandma up there, filling in time till I come !! It doesn't help that the Princess Rosie has gone south for 5 months ! Now I know her dad needs the time down there with friends, Bill and I cant wait for March to come ! Just put the last pumpkin on...man, do I have a lot of pumpkin !!
Kelly, keep me some freezer space, you have to take some ! I have Cook's recipe for soup, and will take it over too!
We went out for supper last night after the play, nice roast chicken (every Sunday night, so we are usually there) I had a glass of wine...large glass...tasted like more so had another. I was smashed !! Reminded me of the time.......no, you dont need to hear about that, let us not go there !! Best go. I want to clean the kitchen up before Bill gets home. Looking forward to Lyn's visit, we will likely toast the rest of you. Take care, love to everyone. And please, people, get on the blog. It seems to be our only life line with home and we miss it when no one writes.
I received an invitation to John's wedding. Would so love to be there, but cant. I hope the rest of you can make it Lots of love. Mona

Belmore Blue's

Yes it's wrking but we're probably all too busy or boring to put anything up. I still have the worm on my system which causes typo's and I coldn't be bothered to do spell checks.

It's 6:20am, I've been up since about 4:30. Should've just had my cuppa and gone back to bed but too late now, my little master of disaster is up so I'd best forcesome wheeties down his throat before he cracks open an "up n go" (supposedly equivelent to 2 wheeties and milk).

Home situation is in tatters, Tony's pulling out what little hair he has left. Every day the situation chnges, we're selling, we're not selling. I ust go with the flow now but it's very hard on him. Bernice, you must come and stay a couple of days so you'll know what I mean...

Madam just came out here and announced her comforters, "I got botty, blankie, dummy". She comes out with some beauties for a littlie. They're both here now so I'd best sign off. Have "Home Reading" at school thismorning. Hope all are well and happy,

Love Sara xxxxx

Halloween in Canberra

Well the girls are at a Halloween party in at thenight club where they both work. Hannah has been there all day decorating etc being baby Martha ( Martha Stewart) as we call her. So I only have a photo of Lauren.

I'm back...

Well hello everyone. It's been a while but I jst don't seem to find the time at all. I liked this place when we moved in but now I can barely stand it. There is no time to do anything, as much as Tony has cleaned up out back and inside there is still no space to put anything. It's cramped, cluttered and decrepit but it's paid for so for that we are thankful.

We've had a notice from Fair Trading from the previous landlord. They are trying to get $3000 out of us for "cleaning, repairs etc" which was all supposed to hjav been done by them when we were tennents. Can't believe the scams these people try to pull. Another incident isa car Tony installed gas on but the owner needed the car before Tony was finished so took it and was supposed to come back bt didn't then had the lpg removed and is trying to get 2K back out of us. *&%$ing incredile these people!

So my time has been taken up with other 'matters'. Angelin is in here turning the fish tank into dumping ground . Poor old fih has keyrings, pens, screws, dog collars, cars and heaven only knows what else in there. It's like the Darling River but that old fish has lived through cereal, spaghetti bolognaise, toast, chocolate sandwhiches and much more so I figure a rubbsh tip won't hurt him...

Thanks Big Girl for the pics of Mark and family. They are lovely and a very handsome family too.

Bernice, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I had hoped to be there but alas it isn't to be. I will give you a call later.

Yes mum has gone back to Gregs, I mss her terribly and the glass of wine at night. Just isn't the same alone :o(

We went to Centenial Park last w/e and took the kids around the par on one of those double pedal carts. I couldn't pedal because my left foothas it's own mind where it goes and the right foot couldn't do it alone. We only got about 50 metres away from the hire place and Tony wa stuffed. I wanted to get out and walk back to get someone to come and get the xcart but ony pressed on. Fair dinkum I thought he was going to carc it. 3/4s the way round he asked me to hop out so Hokey and I walked the rest of the way while he pedalled Angelna back to the hire place. He drove the car aound but we were already back by the time e reached us. The cart only have small wheels so it makes pedalling very hard work. Poor bugger but now he wants to get a tandem bike and put a racing pedal on for me so I can strap my foot in. That I would like.

Brother-in-law is driving us insane but he's part of the house so we have to put up with him.

Ange' is running amok here so I have to nick off. Love and kisses to all. I DO think of you all but just don't get time to sign on and rant about everything...

Hello to everyone, it seems the blog has gone out of fashion.
Mum is back here again and has done the usual, gone through the house with a fine toothed comb. Not a dust bunny to be found. Thanks Mother.Sarie don't know if you read the blog still but all is ok here. How the heck are you. Will ring later on. Greg made it to the gold coast ok, surfed at Lennox Head but the swell wasnt much. He will head back home on Saturday.
Stay well all.
