Sara - Tuesday 20/11/12

Hello all and thank you Bernice for posting those photos, they really are lovely and Uncle Steve aged so well didn't he? It certainly is a sad day and I'm also thinking of you Aunt Mona and Aunty Kell, I know you'd like to be at home at this time.

I have been thinking a lot lately about Mums youth and how things were for her and the Brothers and sisters growing up. Mums memory is not so great anymore and she used to ask Aunty June about things anyway.Aunty Junes memory was clear as day. Some things I wanted to get straight I thought I'd ask Uncle Steve in January, perhaps he'd remember. Stewert said he'd been in a lot of pain with the break from his fall, poor old Dear. I'm glad his suffering has ended at least.

Think I said it in my last post but I'll say it again anyway; I'll be glad when school hol's are here. I'm so fed up with the morning run. Feeling very tired.

The builder is putting the ceiling up in the hall (from where we had to pull the cupboards out to extend the bathroom) and into the bathroom.

Much work to be done.

Still have to knock out the two bathroom windows and wall between them to put in a large window. Also the toilet one to put in a matching window to the bathroom.

I was rummaging through one of the gravel filled drawers
when 'Buddy' here strolled out.

I showed the kids then pushed the drawer gently back into place, intending to catch and relocate him after I took the kids to school but Hokey kicked the drawer and I dare say that was why Buddy wasn't there when I got home. That was yesterday, I haven't looked for him yet today but will do so later. Mind you, if he/she is there then no doubt all the 'lations will be about also :o/

Best be going, too freaking cold to be sitting here. Feels like winter still. No, I was WARMER in winter!

Love to all xxxxx

Thinking of Steve..  And our Dear sweet Marge and the family..Love from Bernice & Ken xx

Mona reporting in

Morning all. Just to let you know we are thinking of you all. The sun is shining brightly on my dark, dark world today. I will talk to Cec again on Wed. to see what arrangements are made. Know I will be there in spirit.
Love and God Bless.  Mona

Help.

Morning all. Yep, another hour wasted trying to get into this thing. It makes me so mad. Last time I went to write, it just came up, same as it used always to do. Today, all the e mail and passwords and new blogs and verifications.....I was about to say to hell with it, and finally got on. All of this, and all I want is for someone to E Mail me John's Wentworth address. I know I have it somewhere, Cec gave it to me. But I can't find it. So if anyone reads this, will you send it to me please?
No news.  We have mega snow...about 18 inches. I had to go up to the cemetery and measure out for a full burial on Saturday. My young helper looks after me and had the man come and blow the road clean and clear off where the grave is to be. All I had to do was measure out the space and mark it off. Thank God for young people!!
Loved the photos, Sarie. The kids have sure grown.
Best sign of. Nothing to say! Love to all.  Mona

Giancarlo going to the school Halloween Disco

Angelina as a 'good' witch to same disco

Hello everyone, no news to speak of I guess. Same old same old. As you can see from the above pics, the kids have been dressing up.I probably should've let Hokey wear my bigger shirt but I was afraid it'd end up covered in sauce from the hotdog, I needn't have been concerned.

No sooner had I dropped him off and arrived back home then I get a phone call to say he's crying and wants to come home. None of his friends were there and he 'missed' us. I told the teacher to tell him to go back inside and watch. They said they did and he did but he came back out and wouldn't stop crying. I hadn't even finished the phone call when Tony had left the house to go and get him.

Hokey gets home and declares he doesn't want to go to Camp next year (two nights). Twelve months between now and camp might make the difference. I shouldn't be so hard on him, I was just as sooky. No, I was worse I think :o/

Aunt Mona, I just called Mum, Aunty Cec and Uncle Ray had been visiting and just went home yesterday. I'd say that's why Aunty Cec was calling. Mum so very much enjoys their visits.

Mum said that Kenny and Bernice popped in this morning for a visit on their way home from up the coast. Was lovely to see them too.

Shoot. The day's gone already. Another half hour then I'll have to ready to get the kids. Might go have my cuppa then do that.

Love ya's

Mona is back on deck!

Morning all. Who was it who prayed for a blizzard for me and forgot which week end I needed it????? It came this week end and I wanted it next week end!! However, I think the Lord knows there was a mistake, and He has given me another out!!
Lovely lot of snow we have. I didn't go to the Armistice dinner last night, but we had our service this am. Not many out for it, but with about 18 inches of snow, most couldn't get out their driveways!  I always feel glad when it is over, not only because of the part I play, but it seems to be an end that we look forward to. Too much snow for us to do the cemetery thing today, but we will when it clears a bit. For those who don't know, Bill and I go around all 3 cemeteries and put poppies on family graves after the service on the 11th. I put one for dad on Bill's dad's grave. (One of my precious Australian ones. I wear it for service, then give it to dad. Lyn gets them for me.)             No news here. I haven't heard from Kell for a week or two. She has been down at Kathy's and Kate and Char were taking her to Phoenix for her birthday to soak up some heat!! I hope she isn't back yet, Alberta had the storm before us, MEGA snow and cold. Kell hates both!!
We changed time last week and it is already dark at 5-30pm. I hate it. Dark mornings are OK...sleep in !! but dark evenings are a pain.
Sarie, you get different pages to the blog to Kell and me. I haven't seen any as you describe them! But today, there was my little "New Post" sign, at the top when I opened it ! That is how it USED to be all the time. No need to sign in or pass word, just start on the note!!
And yes, our bathroom is finished. Looks good, too. I want Bill to do a bit more grouting on the small tiles and fill in a couple of little openings, but they can wait for a bit. He has had a few jobs to do for others that he needed to get done before freeze up. I hope you are happy with your bath when it is finished. We still have to go to the States to get my towels. Better quality there, and a good choice of colours.
Best go find food for supper. I tried to phone Cec but no answer. She may be at Tom's of in Bourke. Will try again later.
Love to all and God Bless.  Mona

Passing time in Belmore

Trying to change phone carriers. Pain in the bum BIG time. I've been on the phone for over an hour and it's driving me NUTS. So much CRAP you have to go through and every bastard locks you in to a 24 month contract. To opt OUT of contracts costs even MORE. I'm trying to cut costs, not add to them :/

No news, I'm just passing time while sorting out the above bullshit.

Aunt Mona, is your bathroom finished yet? We are having ours done now. Knocking the wall between the bathroom and toilet and extending the wall out to be flush with kitchen and lounge doors. Tony is doing the demolition and we have a builder to come in and do the rest. Will be nice to have some room there at last.

The dog is in the bedroom with me. He doesn't like the noise :/

The weather is still all over the place, coolish nights but the days are finally warming up. I don't like the heat but a break from the cold is always welcome. Might even get to fill the pool this weekend.

The kids have swimming lessons this afternoon, Angelina's enjoying it now, getting brave and catching on. Giancarlo loves the water, he scares me :/

Well phones are sorted out now so I will go and catch up with the rest of the housework etc before I get the kids for swimming.

Hope everyone is well. take care,
